I do not see why I have to make a free…
I do not see why I have to make a free comittment when I wish to look up a person. It happens even when I have a subscription. Am I doing something wrong perhaps?

While it is free to search Find My Past, a subscription is required to view certain record sets on site. Record access varies depending on which subscription plan you have chosen. Your site is very good
Your site is very good, especially the UK records.
I would love to subscribe for full access but being on a pension I can not afford it.
I use the local library but they do not subscribe to the newspaper section. Unless I win the lotteries I will just have to do with standard membership.

I have just started using Find My Past
I have just started using Find My Past, but I find it cluttered and not intuitive when searching. The family trees are very unattractive. I hope my experience gets better as I use the site. I would like the opportunity to give a review again in a month.

Excellent program but tree hints needs work
In general, I think the service provided is top notch. The site is easily navigated, there are new records regularly released and the transcription accuracy is exemplary.
Recently, however, I added trees to your site and have received frequent notices potential found relatives. Very often the British individuals surfaced are associated with my tree, but the notices are very repetitive and the Canadian individuals are more of a shot in the dark. There needs to be a way for members to acknowledge, but reject, the constant flow of superfluous and irrelevant hints.

FindMyPast records and newspapers
As a subscriber to FindMyPast for many years I find the access to records excellent. A different set of records is provided to some of the other subscription companies, in particular access to English parish registers. I also appreciate the access to digitised historic newspapers from the UK.

Findmypast the problem solver site
Findmypast's genealogical research website, in my opinion, is the best, and only site for anyone seeking to research heir family history. With transcripts and facsimile images of actual historical records, such as Parish records, marriage banns, census returns, and more, available for scrutiny, it can alleviate any misconception actual events may otherwise be encountered. And all that for a small subscription what more does anyone want or need.

I found a newspaper article…
I found a newspaper article that knocked down a brick wall I have spent years trying to resolve. Suddenly many DNA matches made sense and I have been able to get back a number of generations. Have to love newspapers

We're sorry for the confusion here, Findmypast is a British website but we have a domain for Australia, US and Ireland to account for different currencies to be used for payment.
All of the records found on each domain are the same however and can be used to access all of our British records. If you want the UK version of the website you can visit www.findmypast.co.uk.

Australian birth, marriage and death records are recorded by each state, there is no central records office, so you will need to contact The Registry of Birth, Death and Marriages for the particular state if you require a birth, marriage of death certificate.
