I ordered a bottle of whisky two months ago.

Was not told about extortionate shopping fees so was declined when I had to pay £32 to receive my £31 bottle of whisky.

It’s now been back with Jonas from fine drams for ten days and I have no refund.

He’s ignoring my emails.

Don’t buy from here- he’s literally stolen my money and got his product back.

I’m writing this review in hope that I actually get some communication with them.

I order several bottles off of Fine drams which took almost a month to arrive - I know things are difficult due to Brexit so no problems there. One bottle, however, had its seal broken and clear evidence that some of the liquid had actually leaked out. I sent pictures and asked for a refund (as the website clearly states this is not a problem with damaged bottles). I was told I’d have to send the damaged bottle back to get a full refund and, after much discussion, agreed upon a 50% refund without having to send the bottle back. I’ve checked what other online retailers do when it comes to damaged goods and they all offer a full refund - I’m disappointed Fine Drams failed to do so and will use other retailers in future.

Brilliant experience using finedrams, I even made an account here because I was that impressed. It was rather baffling to see a mere 4.2 rating on here, however I can see that this is skewed by some 1 star reviews from a few moronic British buyers who don't understand how Brexit works. It's not the company's responsibility to make you aware of your own countries policies!

The site itself has a fantastic selection of whiskey and at great prices (seriously seriously good). In addition the postage is fantastic value as well. In fact it is cheaper than what most UK retailers charge to ship to Belfast even though we are allegedly part of the same country! Postage was incredibly fast too. I will 100% be using them again in the future.

Ordered some bottles I've found hard to source in the UK. Great price, great delivery, Really well packaged, arrived in less than 2 weeks. Will definitely use again.

Excellent service, and excellent products! With Finedrams I get a chance to buy rare spirits I can’t get any place else, and they’re shipping is excellent! It gets here real fast, less than two weeks! Thanks!

To date I have placed and received two orders and plan to do more. Both were processed without incident, with the product arriving in packaging safer and more secure than the fine China my wife ordered! Fine Drams has allowed me to purchase products not typically available in the USA, and often at prices equal to or less than domestic cost - including shipping. I was also able to order two of my favorite Scotch selections that are usually only available for the Travel/Resort industry. Thank you Fine Drams for the great selection, service, and support. I will be placing another order soon! Matt B.

Superb customer service from placing the order to delivery. Less than a week from order to delivery from Germany. Will definitely use again.

Iv had over 12 Orders just this Year alone and all have been great and on time. However the last two orders I faced with a £267 Customs Fee. I was aware of this when I first placed the order but after having many pass and not one of them having any problem it did start to rase me some questions. All orders where valued between £250-£700

After reading around it looks like as they first got Shipped from Germany, its the German Customs that are trying to cut down on Tax and having a big effect on Imports in and out.

When I was faced with the large fee and Customs hitting me with a £101 handling Fee, I was quick to find out this are not allowed to do this as the order was placed online out of the Area, I understand Tax will have to be paid like on all goods, but please to anyone who is looking to ship to the UK just watch out.

However I can't fault this on FineDrams as all orders have been great and still a happy customer. I will be testing the boat with another order but this time with 2-3 bottles and not 9-14 Bottles as I use to haha

This is the first time I used Fine Drams to buy two bottles of Pastis. I needed a litre bottle to go into my optic on the kitchen wall. They arrived so quickly, and packed so well. Great company, will use again!

I have now bought multiple times from Fine Drams and I find the service excellent. Easy to use web site, great selection, Very good prices and very reliable.
Every time I have ordered the items have been well packaged, delivered quickly, have sent me the relevant tracking information and whenever I have asked a question they have replied quickly and have been very helpful.
One of the best things for me is that Fine drams have items I cannot get in the UK.
I also like that recently I have bought a 20cl bottle of Blegian Owl and a 35cl bottle of Slyrs 51. With having smaller bottles I have been able to try new whiskies without having to buy a full size bottle. I also purchased as bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed for £30.00. Which I think was very good value for a cask strength very good bourbon which I like and cheaper than anywhere else I have seen.

Delivery was extremely quick and arrived perfectly packaged. First time I ordered saw no issues with VAT (I live in Northern Ireland). On the second occasion a charge was raised against me, but, upon query this was dismissed by the Belfast depot (thank you Good Friday Agreement!!).
I will 100% order again from FineDrams, prices are 'too good to be true' levels, although it is true!
PS. When are you getting more RL Seale in stock??? :)

I didn't actually end up buying from them. Brexit has made the sure that the VAT and import charges, likely to be imposed by Parcel Force, will push the price of the item to be higher than it is from a UK retailer.

But Jonas responded very quickly to my questions, which was very much appreciated.

However I think that there needs to be a clearer message on the website for UK Customers.

Luckily I'm of a suspicious nature. So when I saw the flat rate delivery charges of €4.80, for UK destinations, this seemed too good to be true. Hence I did some research.

My 3rd Order from Fine Drams in a month, first 2 no problems. 3 order a single bottle of Highland park cost £190 saving 10 on list price at highland Park. letter from Parcel force demanding £72.64 import duty, nothing mentioned on Fine Drams . thats more than 30% extra when using this site.

***My money has been refunded. But they still have not given an explanation as to what happened with my order.***

I have ordered from this website many times and the service has been good up until my last order. My tracking shows that my order was delivered however the details showed it being delivered to an address in Germany. I live in the United States. I have sent 4 emails to inquire as to the whereabouts of my order and the company has yet to even reply to me. It has now been a week and a half. I am incredibly disappointed in this company’s service!!!

Brexit led to some custom charges which were very high but this brought the bottle to the same price I would have paid in the UK. Beyond the control of Fine Drams so in no way their fault. Very very well packaged, impossible for it to have been damaged. Very reasonably priced shipping. The cost for the bottle was very good. Would definitely recommend as a great supplier.

Excellent service and great prices.
Definitely worth looking at for those bottles you can’t find in Australia.
Very reasonable shipping rates is a bonus.
