Making more clear about the content expected for online students
I enrolled for Cert III and IV for an online course. I spent a long time on the phone with Nicky (I think was her name) trying to decide if online would still be doable since I work and have 2 little kids (back in 2023, they were under 4). Decided to go with online one because it sounded quite manageable. Found later it was quite challenging since the course (both) requires a big load of videos, find people who wants to participate, etc. Maybe I was naive but I was very suprised with the amount of videos and specifics for each task, I do understand that it'sprobably the best way for online students, but it'sdefinitely something that I would had appreciated if it was clear, so I could make the decision informed. On the other hand, the on-campus support was fabulous. Really learnt a lot from Timothy, as he was always open to bring discussion and making us think critically, which I appreciated so much. Really struggled after he left. Overall, course is good. Maybe in the future, the marketing guys could also mention a bit the amount of load for future online students, so they can make the decision having that information in mind so they can plan ahead better than I did.

I recently completed my Cert III & IV…
I recently completed my Cert III & IV in Fitness. I loved Cert lll, loved the teachers and support. The courses allowed me to study flexibly and ultimately helped me achieve my qualification, which I’m grateful for.
However, I found the level of support throughout the Cert lV to be quite limited at times, and the marking, feedback & relationships could feel inconsistent and cold. There were a few instances where communication, marking or expectations around assessments were unclear.
In the end, I was able to complete the course and gain my qualification, but I do think improvements could be made in communication and student support.

I studied part time at FIT College in…
I studied part time at FIT College in Hindmarsh(before shutting down)/Glenelg in Adelaide. Despite moving locations everything transitioned smoothing and didn't impact learning at all. The content was a good mix of theory and practical work, with plently of time being spent on the gym floor practicing. Getting a job through this course was extremely easy, as i was able to get into contact with goodlife PTMs through meeting them in-club while learning at the goodlife Glenelg location. Overall, would highly recommend for anyone looking for an efficient and effective way to become a PT!

Very disappointed in my experience
I was very disappointed with my experience in the Fit College - Individual Support – Disability (Online) course. Before enrolling, there was plenty of contact and support, but once I had signed up, getting any assistance became extremely difficult.
The course content was repetitive, and the number of assessments was excessive and overwhelming. When I enrolled, I was told this course would complement my Fitness Diploma by helping me develop skills to support clients in a fitness setting. However, it ended up having no connection to fitness at all.
Additionally, completing the required work placement was nearly impossible within a fitness environment, as all the assessments were geared toward support worker and aged care settings rather than fitness practice. Overall, the course did not meet the expectations set during enrolment and was not aligned with the outcomes promoted.

Amazing trainers
I recently completed Cert. III with Fit College and have now started Cert. IV - both online.
Getting started was easy, I had a long chat with Dean and he answered any questions I had and much more!
The learning materials are really good, but I also have to mention the outstanding help from Mark and Troy at the South Melbourne campus - always being available and accomodating, fast tracking our progress.
