Great service, great result!
Fix Auto recently performed a repair on my Mazda CX5. Although selected by my insurer, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The repair was to a fairly extensive area of largely superficial damage covering my offside rear door, offside rear wheel arch panel, the wheel arch itself and the alloy and tyre. Not only is the work excellent, the staff have been extremely welcoming and helpful, keeping me informed throughout the process. Picking up and delivering my car to suit my working arrangements was seamless and the entire repair was completed in about a week. It's great to have my car back home, looking great!

Disappointing
The company had my car for more than a week for what I perceived as a relatively minor repair. Plus I asked them to quote for a new wing mirror that wasn’t included in the job. They quoted me £800. However, when I asked my local garage for a quote they pointed out the mirror was modular and only two parts needed replacing, at a cost if £200.

In this case, the damage to your vehicle involved repairs to the complete side, which required a significant amount of work. The total repair time was 6 working days and, based on the labour hours involved, the work was completed more quickly and efficiently than the industry average. We understand, however, that being without your vehicle for this period is inconvenient and we regret any frustration this caused.
We also apologise for any confusion regarding the quotation for your wing mirror. Our quote was based on the cost of a complete mirror unit, as supplied by the vehicle manufacturer. Of the £800 quoted, £56.00 was for labour, with the remaining balance reflecting the manufacturer’s price for the part itself. We understand that alternative repair options may be available elsewhere and respect your decision to choose the solution that best suited you.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback as it helps us review and improve our service. Should you wish to discuss your repair further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Only repaired what was listed in the photographs
Only repaired one wheel arch despite both arches being damaged following the accident, only reason given was that only one arch was shown in the photos.
I trusted them to make a professional repair of both the seen and unseen damage, why didn’t the workshop contact me or the insurance company to discuss? I’m now left wondering what else has been overlooked because it “wasn’t in the photographs” is there damage under or tucked away on my vehicle that has just been left?
I’ve had to contact my insurance company, make a complaint and rearrange what should have been done in the first place.

We apologise that both wheel arch mouldings were not repaired under your claim. Unfortunately, the description given to us by your insurance company did not include the both arches. Nor did it mention that you had decided to glue the damage arch back on yourself.
Had we been given this additional detail we would have included this in the quote given to your insurance company for approval.
As discussed when you collected your vehicle, all you need to do is contact your insurance company, make them aware of the issue and they will re-instruct us so we can submit to their engineers.
We can assure you no other damage relating to what was reported to us has been missed and we offer a lifetime guarantee on all our work.
Sometimes working off images is not always the best method and that is why we asked all customers to bring their vehicle in for a physical inspection. We appreciate this is not always convenient.
We are currently waiting for an updated damage description from your insurance company and we will make this priority as soon as it has been received.
