Moisture varies, heat rises and falls, and during a busy service, that inconsistency can make life harder for the chefs working the oven. Forno1889® was created to bring more control to the fire. Our beechwood pizza briquettes are designed as a reliable fuel for professional wood-fired pizza ovens. Uniform in shape, dry, and easy to handle, they help pizza chefs maintain steady heat and consistent performance throughout service. Forno1889® pizza briquettes are developed and delivered by ECOFUEL™, an Irish wood-fuel company based in Galway and Dublin. From these hubs, we supply wood-fired pizzerias across Ireland and the United Kingdom, supporting everyone from small independent kitchens and mobile pizza trailers to growing restaurant groups. Our mission is simple: to support the chefs behind wood-fired ovens with a fire they can rely on, so they can focus on making great pizza.

Absolutely top-quality wood for a…

Absolutely top-quality wood for a wood-fired pizza oven. Burns clean, lights easily, and reaches the perfect high temperature needed for authentic pizzas. The heat consistency is excellent, which makes cooking so much easier and more predictable.

Very good quality

Very good product, we swapped few months ago to this new type of wood and it was an excellent solution.
