Misleading Website

Be careful. They make claims to youtube channels and they blackmail to buy professional licences. Even when you explain to them, that in no shape or form you are earning money or affiliated commercially with the product you are showing.

Terrible user experience, they got striked my youtube video and now they only suggest paying for some "license".
"no copyright issues" does not mean no copyright issues, as they have their title on the main page.

The flow they suggest for user experience is misleading, it was totally unclear that any issue will be there, when I see the title/subtitle "Free music for creators, Safe background music with no copyright issues".

If there would be a negative rating, I would give that. They are a scam website that positions themselves as free only to blackmail you after you use their soundtracks. They should be reported as a fraudulent company and not allowed to operate.

I got a copyright strike even though the video was non-commercial use .

After that, I subscribed just to fix the issue, but later found the renewal terms were not clear to me. I canceled the subscription, but still got emails asking for payment. They hide everything very good.

Advertise their music as free to use if it's to be used non-commercially. I created a video on youtube using one of their downloaded tracks as a quiet backdrop to the film. Not long after, my video was taken down and a strike made against my account. Emailed to explain that it was non commercial but they insisted I paid or the strike would remain. Their Usage Policy is light on detail. Avoid!

Scammers that abuse copyright to make you pay for subscription. Claimed a sound that was listed as free to use and copystriked my channel, trying to ruin it. Wouldnt remove it unless you pay.
Never use their sounds, theyre not free to use.

NEVER USE THIS SITE-ITS A SCAM

I used one audio track on my personal, non-monetized YouTube channel because it was advertised as free for personal use. My account was later blocked, and even after removing the audio, they refused to unblock it unless I paid for a subscription.

For me, this felt like being pressured to pay after the fact. The subscription cost was far too expensive considering I only used one track.

Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this service to other creators. Otherwise they will block your account by claiming its a copyright.

SCAM! filed a copyright claim and forced us to purchase subscription. Google's team should take this seriously.

It's a quite a hassle — first you need to buy a license or subscribe, then add the content to a whitelist, or else it risks being flagged.

Despite using attribution in video description properly, still i got a copyright strike from freetouse.com on my YouTubechannel. This is not a free website. Very bad experience with them.

I recieved a copyright strike on youtube for using one of their audios.
I contacted them via email and it was resolved quickly.

Here are some tips to avoid problems using this website:

1- Make sure you don't use the free audios for commercial purpose (selling or promotion)
2- Always put the credits they give you while you are downloading the audio in the description of the video
3- If you get a strike, contact them via email to settle the matter. They may ask you to buy their license but state your case and ask them to retract the claim on your video.

Hope this helps.

This is the worst company you can imagine. They allow free downloads of music and then later claim copyright violations that can only be resolved by paying hundreds of euros of the course of time.

Stay away from freetouse.com at all costs! Worst possible recommendation
