DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Horrendous experience dealing with these guys. I made a payment for a mirror by accident (I opened the wrong checkout tab in safari) and within minutes contacted FCC and my bank to notify them of the error and to get the PENDING transaction dropped before it went through. Even though the payment hadn’t gone through (for 2 days), FCC applied their refund policy to the circumstances and said there was nothing they could do - there absolutely was, they just wouldn’t. The next day they said they were happy to inform me that they decided to cancel my order this time around, as a gesture of goodwill but that moving forward, cancellations would not be tolerated and would incur a one-time cancellation fee of 30% or $99.

I agreed to this (cancellation of the order and that moving forward they would not tolerate cancellations and that a one time fee would apply) and thought all was sorted. They then backtracked, apologised for the confusion and said that for the current order they were happy to cancel as a gesture of goodwill and apply a cancellation fee of $99 to that order (noting the order was for $330.98 so I’d receive back $231.98).

Further, all FCC had to do was reply to my email with ‘we authorise the pending payment to be cancelled’ and my bank would have taken care of the rest. But they were like a brick wall, showed no human decency, we’re condescending and evidently, illiterate, in their correspondence which resulted in a 3 day runaround of emails back and forth.

On the other hand, the company I was originally supposed to order from (Silsan Decor) were extremely helpful and more than happy to authorise the payment to be cancelled or refund me despite having the same policy around refunds.

Avoid, avoid, avoid FCC and save yourself the stress of dealing with these people.

BUYER BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING

I purchased a lounge through this company and it is a vastly different colour than the one I ordered and paid for.
The company are refusing me my rights under consumer law that I’m guaranteed to, forcing me to 1. Leave this review 2. Make a formal complaint to fair trading 3. Contact media. I am a semi disabled single mother. I contacted them about it when it was delivered on Friday around midday only to be told hours later they would contact me Monday. Because i opened it (which I’d need to do to verify it’s the item I ordered and used to display in a picture to show the product I’d received) and I sat on it (again I’m semi disabled and unable to sit on the floor for days, with children) they are refusing to rectify. They even changed the description and images on their website, knowing the items weren’t the same and didn’t contact me before delivery about the colour change to make sure I wanted to go ahead. The lounge was supposed to be charcoal with all pictures on their website including a close up swatch that is a very dark grey closer to black (evidenced on my invoice and several screenshots I took) and the lounge I received is light/medium grey. Also please be aware they have changed the pricing of several products within 4 weeks - the item I purchased was advertised at $899, then days later to $699 and now to $1,199. Save yourself the drama and shop where there is a showroom and you can see the item for yourself. I didn’t do this as I have a dislocation in my spine and several herniated discs and can’t travel around. Biggest mistake I made. I have all evidence of everything I’ve written in both pictures, messages over Facebook marketplace and direct email with the company. I’d give 0 stars if the option was available.

No you didn’t offer to replace the lounge, you told me you’d reply to me 2 days after the delivery. Consumer Laws are in place to stop scamming businesses like yours. Look at all these poor reviews! And you reply making out that you did everything right. You offered a $50 refund but failed all your other obligations like informing the customer that the product isn’t as described before delivery. Consumer Laws state that when an item isn’t as described in words and pictures you’re bound by law to rectify. I chose a darker shade fabric because I have children. The picture you displayed (before you sneakily altered it without telling your customers who purchased it) is several shades darker than the one delivered to me. Again I’ll say I’m a semi disabled mother did you expect me to be in my bed for more days like I had to with your first bungled delivery? I made contact immediately that the lounge wasn’t the correct colour. You chose to not address the issue until days later. I’m still guaranteed APPROPRIATE remedy - provide the lounge you originally advertised, fix the item to be the item you advertised, or refund. It’s not my problem that I had taken the lounge out of the box - how else am I to know it’s not the right lounge and in good working order? I sent you the consumer laws via email. Your terms and conditions don’t trump consumer law. The lounge you advertised and the lounge I was delivered are not the same. I don’t expect a full refund - I expect appropriate compensation as I’m guaranteed to under consumer laws.

Additional information to your review, The sofa color was slightly lighter then purchased, we have updated the images online as soon as we were notified of this to make sure they colour is the closest representation as possible. We have offered to replace the sofa for you but you accepted the sofa, set it up completely in your lounge and have been using it with your family as per your emails. This makes it very hard. The sofa is 100% perfect condition this is why I have initially offered a payment for compensation, the item should have been returned to us and I could have given you a refund. I can not provide 100% refund on a sofa that you have accepted and been using, I have tried very hard to work with you to resolve this matter. The price you purchased was a pre-sale item and this will be lower as customers need to wait outside standard waiting times for their items. The lower price was the Mothers Day super sale that we offer to people to grab a great deal like any business. The sale is now over therefore prices returned to normal, but we are now offering FREE local delivery to assist clients with additional Value. Sorry for this experience you have had with us, we do work very hard to work within all the guidelines and with our clients to find the easiest and fastest solutions.

Love my new sofa

Love my new sofa, fits perfectly and is exactly what I wanted! Kira was lovely to speak with and was very helpful through out the process. Would definitely recommend!!

When push comes to shove…

Communication was shocking!! Only until I enquired I would hear something back. It took almost SIX months for our lounge to be sorted although I advised I wanted a refund. As soon as I pushed for a refund no one responded to my email, call or text message that week but instead get an email for a fast track delivery. I am entitled to a refund based on your policy not arriving within reasonable time and would never shop through you ever again!!

So sorry to hear about your experience with us. As advised through the process Covid shutdowns, weather at sea and Australian customs are all out of our control. We did try and notify you along the way and the other clients in the same boat. 8 weeks a a long delay, but still within the industry standard. When importing items and purchasing items that have not arrived yet, normally at a good sales discount, there are risks of delays. I sincerely apologies for this and can only say thank you for you patience through the process. I do hope now you have received your item it was worth the wait. It is one of our most popular sofas!!!

They didn’t organise delivery date - just told me it had been shipped then shipped to wrong address / fortunately packing labels was correct and a smart carrier checked!
‼️Courier company was excellent bar one data entry problem‼️
*poor product design: >One the end pieces / armrest(s) since people commonly manover furniture by the ends / armrests the ankers / clippings should be inverted!

Your purchase was only made on the 8th May when you received your order confirmation. Your order was fulfilled and tracking details sent on the 14th May. Tracking details allowed you to follow your order to your door. Can you please assist me in letting me know what other notifications would have assisted in the process. I would be happy to put additional alerts in place to help clients. Please send me an email. Also Can you please advise me of the armrest issue you have mentioned? We have a great 12 month warranty on all item as we know they can on rare occasion get damaged in transit. Please send me images and details and we will get this fixed for you.

My sofa

My sofa, ordered end of February from Furniture Clearance Centre was due in March. I was not notified of any delay (Covid in China) and then issue at sea) at all until I inquired. It is now TWO months late and I was told it was arriving from China two weeks ago and I would receive a tracking number. I have received no tracking number despite calling again last week when I was told I would receive a tracking number on Monday May 15 and have received nothing. I will never, ever shop with FCC again. It is a disgraceful way to treat customers by not keeping them informed.

Missing pieces

The couch is beautiful and delivery was good
But I am missing two of the back rests, they did not come with the order.
I tried contacting and they told me someone will get back to me and I still haven’t had any response

Rubbish service and product

Not normally one to write a review but this was the worst customer experience I have had. I purchased the Hartford sofa bed with pull-out chaise. I called them prior to ordering to check if courier they use will be ok to deliver up three flights of stairs in Sydney. I was assured there should be no problem and if so they will arrange part refund as it occurred before hence continued with purchased and paid $320 for this service. Contacted serval times and called after order placed to call me on ETA of delivery and provide tracking number. I was given someone else's details. Upon coming home from work on a rainy day my couch was shoved into a corner blocking entrance to unit block stairwell. I'm a female, live on my own and have no one in the area to assist. I called immediately and was given the run around, and that I had to sort it out! No assistance at all. I had the couch sitting there all weekend until I had to arrange and pay for some help. On top the packaging was flimsy as well as the couch! One leg was damaged and they tried to blame the people who I arranged to take it up the stairs! There was no hard cardboard packaging around corners and one of the arms was indented. I have ordered several items of furniture from companies like Amart, Luxo Living and Temple & Webster all have had couriers deliver to the door and packaging and product has been great. I will give them 1 star for clever design of the pull-out chaise but the quality is poor. The couch is firm, fabric is already starting to pile, the pull out chaise does not align like the photo there is a big gap between and the arms are flimsy and indented from poor packaging. I was told they will "straighten out after a while". I was also promised reply from complaint submitted to courier and a new leg. Its been crickets ever since. If I was able to post photos I would! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY POOR!

Dear Filomena, Sorry for your experience. As discussed at length with you unfortunate as stated on our website we use couriers all over Australia. As stated on our website we request that the couriers help as much as possible to assist our clients but unfortunately they have their own health & safety rules, especially for delivering up flights of stairs. It is stated in the delivery terms on the website they they delivery to the ground floor. I have tried to assist you as much as possible with the matter. The quality of this particular sofa is very good, as explained there must be a small gap between the chaise and the foot rest otherwise you can’t pull them out. This is s very heavy sofa and very versatile but it is an incredible design.

Unprofessional and frustrating

I purchased 3 items, one was delivered, the other 3 are still pending, when I placed my order, I did not receive a tracking number, I tried to call the company on the number provided, it went straight to a machine that was not helpful. I emailed the company to provide me with feedback with regards to my order, I was told "it was on its way" up until now, I have not received anything, I'm emailing, I'm not getting a response.

This is really unprofessional and I cannot sit around all day everyday waiting for a delivery.
