Honestly couldn’t have done more for us!

Recently used Gardner Surveyors for a new family home we’ve bought. From the very first phone call with Lesley to the follow up phone call to explain the survey I knew we were in safe hands.
Lesley was amazing and even booked us in for the same week after finding out I am heavily pregnant and hoping to move before baby is here. She then handled everything taking one thing off our plate.
Two days later we got a call to say the survey had been completed and to expect the written report soon. Well by soon I didn’t expect the next day! Amazing

Survey to an amazing standard and done properly! Be careful of surveyors using AI to do all the hard work and giving dodgy results.

I used Andrew for the first time last year and am delighted to recommend him for surveys. He gave a quick turnaround on a property I have purchased and has remained on hand for general advise about the age and condition of the building since we moved in.

I organised this survey and valuation for my mother and opted for a full survey even though it wasn’t required for a mortgage, and in hindsight I’m extremely relieved that we did. I was very impressed with the service we received from the initial conversation with Lesley in the office through to the detailed feedback from Andrew. The survey was very thorough and clearly carried out with a great deal of care and attention to detail. Andrew clearly spent a good deal of time at the property and the report reflected that level of diligence, identifying both visible issues and potential risks that might otherwise have been overlooked.
What stood out most was the balanced and practical nature of the advice. The report didn’t just list defects — it explained their significance, suggested sensible next steps, and included realistic cost guidance. This has been invaluable in helping my mother make an informed decision and negotiate appropriately with the seller.
It’s clear that Andrew has extensive experience in property and refurbishment, as many of the comments demonstrated a strong understanding of where shortcuts may have been taken. The inclusion of recommendations for further investigations and certification was also very helpful as was the separate valuation report.
Overall, a highly professional, detailed and pragmatic survey. I would not hesitate to recommend this service to anyone purchasing a property and wanting a thorough, honest assessment.

We are extremely happy to recommend Gardner and Co having used the company for three surveys in recent months. Between November 2025 and January 2026 Lesley is super efficient organising the booking and payment process , also responding really quickly if you need clarification of any aspect of the survey. Andrew gives feedback on the day the survey is carried out. Giving down to earth comment and explanations of his advice, in light of his findings.
We couldn't ask for a better experience. You can ask a question and get a full and detailed answer, to aid decision making, at what can be a stressful time. Appointments are arranged very quickly, again to get the property buying process moving.

I would highly recommend Gardner & Co for a home survey. Graham completed a very thorough and realistic survey and called on the day of the surveyor to go through the key points and allow for any questions. It was a brilliant service for someone who has little to no building knowledge as he would explain things very clearly.

We have recently completed our survey with Gardner Surveyors and they couldn’t have been better. They were brilliant! Andrew came out to our property and completed our building survey. He called us soon after to let us know that everything looked okay which meant we were reassured without having to wait for the full report. Myself and my partner are first time buyers and Gardener Surveyors couldn’t be more helpful. From start to finish the experience was super useful. The report itself was thorough and detailed as well as easy to read and navigate.
