Snooper SC5900 MySpeed DVR Gen 3, Rear View Camera attatched
Snooper SC5900 MySpeed DVR Gen 3, speed limit, cameras indicator and DVR.
I have used this device (about 1 year) with my XK Portfolio 2009 convertible which has no OEM Navigation speed limit indicator, nor Reverse Camera.
The SC5900 worked well until I carried out an Update then it inexpicably crashed.
I contacted Snooper Mr. Bhairav Mane dealt with my problem and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently, by phone and e-mail. He sent me a new SD data disc at NO COST which has been working perfectly since July 2023, I have successfully updated it to include France and Spain Camera locations, with no problems. I have also installed a Rear View Camera and hard wired it to the video input of the Snooper SC5900 this works seamlessly. When selecting Reverse the image appears within 2.5secs with excellent reolution, parking lines etc. Upon returning to normal use the image is instantaneous. I am delighted to have this device and would recomend it to anyone.

Serious mapi.exe error on Snooper S5100 sat nav
I raised the problem online, and received a telephone response from Alex Mangli the next working day - good start.
Alex was helpful, but I had difficulty in understanding what he was saying - he seemed to speak quickly with words not clearly enunciated.
Alex told me that the problem was corruption of my sat nav software caused by the fact that I had not updated it frequently. In fact I had updated it about 12 months earlier, but Alex said that this was not frequent enough. I needed to update the software at least twice a year and preferably every 2 months, otherwise the software would probably be corrupted. I did not have this problem with my previous Snooper sat nav in spite of updating it annually. Also I have 2 other sat navs of a different make, and members of my family together own 14 sat navs of a different make. None of these are updated more frequently than annually and none have experienced software corruption problems.
Alex stated that the solution was for me to order a new SD card at a cost of £69.99. If I returned the old SD card I would be eligible for a £20 refund. I am not happy that I have to apparently update this Snooper Sat Nav at least twice each year to prevent software corruption, AND pay £69.99 for a new card with the hope of a £20 refund. I've reluctantly ordered a new SD card, and Alex has sent me an email with the return address and suggests that "I attach a letter of explanation with the old SD card, with reason for return refund".
It would be much more helpful if I had been emailed a returns label referencing my order/returns number and giving the information required for the refund. This is surely normal practice for most organisations these days.

I contacted snooper as I had not updated my S6800 for many years and didn’t know if it was worth updating. I spoke with Bhairav and he first checked the serial number and confirmed it indeed was worth updating.Bhairav talked me through my options and explained the offer as long standing customer regarding a new SIM card . The new card is on its way what a great professional would certainly recommend using this company.

Problems with my Road Angel Pure Touch – Fixed!
I had a few subscription issues that needed to be fixed by Road Angel for my Pure Touch Speed Detector. I called technical support and was kindly and professionally helped by Bhairav Mane. He talked me through some procedures, updated his systems, followed up on emails and ensured my device was working by the following day. Ventura Screen Fingertipping Issue
Had one of the first Snooper Navi's. Used it 13 years. Then decided to buy a new Snooper Ventura S6900. It had screen malfunction. The screen did not respond to fingertipping. Contacted Snooper help centre. Was said to be a helpfull source. Chat contact with Alex. Supported issue with video. Alex and myself did not really come to solving the issue. Thus closed the Chat. BUT Alex supported further and send me afterwards a set of instructions how to recalibrate the screen. THIS was the solution. Ventura operates as it should. So Alex made the DIFFERENCE. Thanks again.
