GermanShop24 is a family owned business and was founded in 2007 by Stefan Kuehnert - originally as a hobby. We started selling over the internet in September 2007 after setting up the very first version of our online shop. The assortment back then was just about 250 products, but still we got in the first order just 2 days after the initial launch. During the following months, orders slightly increased to 5-6 orders per week and there was not much progress in 2008. In 2009 Katrin Kuehnert joined the team and we started to expand our assortment. At the end of 2009 we offered about 2000 different items - all available to be ordered. Orders also went up in 2009 to about 30 per week. In the years between 2010 and 2015 we nearly doubled our revenue each year and we now have a yearly sales volume of about $1.5 Million making us one of the leading online shops for German food world wide, even though we are specialized in shipping to the US. In 2015 we expended our business and now serving wholesalers in different countries including the US and China. We offer air and sea freight service for wholesalers and take care about fulfilling all legal requirements for the destination countries.

The best packaged order!!!

We had 2 orders so far within a week, and I cannot say enough good things about them and their service. I receive a lot of packages from all over the world, but never did i receive a better packaged and organized order than from Germanshop24. Thank you so much Germanshop24.

Third shipment I received

Third shipment I received. First order was as a surprise from my son. I am very happy that I finally can eat my Schokomüsli von der Firma Kölln again. Speedy, reliable, awesome customer service. They make it right if something does go wrong. I don’t know how they literally can ship as fast as they do. Thank you!

Excellent service

I've been a regular customer since 2010 and have always been happy with the quick and friendly service. During my last delivery, customs opened three of the vacuum sealed coffee packages, making at least two of them of substandard quality when the time comes to use them.

Germanshop24 immediately replied and generously sent me a credit. Very impressed and grateful!

Viele Dank fuer die schnelle und toll…

Viele Dank fuer die schnelle und toll verpackte erste Lieferung. Einen kleinen negativ Punkt habe ich anzumerken. Das Harry Vollkornbrot hatte leider Schimmel auf der Unterseite. Habe es abgeschnitten und nun wird das Brot schnell gegessen.

I received my order very quickly

I received my order very quickly, actually earlier than initially thought. One item was missing, but as soon as I emailed about it I received a refund. Definitely recommend this store! Love that I can get a lot of the items I am missing from Germany!

I have placed multiple orders, and with all, I was delighted. I added cooled shipment with all my orders, and I never had any damages, and you can tell the workers packing it with care. So many things I am not able to find in the states, so I'm more than grateful for Germanshop24.

Excellent service

I have placed multiple orders and all, except one, were delivered without delay and in excellent condition. I had one order shipped and stuck at New York Airport even though my Airport is Washington DC. I can't fault them for it. Once the mistake was discovered the order was quickly delivered.
I've recommended them to others and they have received their orders promptly as well.

The only thing I would recommend is adding Baby Food products since they all keep asking if I know whether or not they carry items such as Brei and Formula.

CHILDISH, RUDE AND ARROGANT!!! DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT IS ADVERTISED ON…

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT IS ADVERTISED ON GERMANSHOP24.COM. I have been looking everywhere for Smarties in the classic packaging - tube and colorful plastic lid. GERMANSHOP24.COM advertised this exact product in pictures, and had a whole description of the candy in the tube. I ordered a dozen giant tubes at US$3.99 each as per the picture because I can’t find them anymore where I am. DHL itself cost me US$36.99 and the delivery was slow. It took a week to arrive. THE PACKAGING WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. The giant “tubes” of Smarties came in flimsy hexagonal paper packaging, NOT AS IN PICTURE. When emailed to GERMANSHOP24.COM, they replied “ I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your delivery. According to our terms and conditions and FAQs, packaging shown on the website may not be binding. Although I understand your frustrations, the products you received are the ones you ordered. The smarties will still taste the same, regardless of the packaging.”

The reply was so dismissive and dodgy. What does “may not be binding” mean??? And the Smarties in the tubes were NOT double sealed!!! Meaning the 12 flimsy hexagonal tubes were not sealed inside. Only packaged with styrofoam and taped in a box. No wonder I also found ants! This is an international shipment that took DAYS.

All candy lovers will attest to how IMPORTANT THE PACKAGING IS. That’s a lot of the reason why we buy candy. GERMANSHOP24.COM SHOULD PRACTISE INTEGRITY IN BUSINESS. Don’t false advertise one packaging but deliver a totally inferior one. The least you could have done is notify the buyer. I WASTED MY MONEY OF CLOSE TO US$100 ON THIS! DISGUSTED THROUGH AND THROUGH.

I also received this email - “Your account has been deactivated.” HOW SMALL AND CHILDISH IS THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY. HILARIOUS! Also proving my point that this shop is DODGY. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!

Customer received EXACTLY what she ordered, just in a new, more environmental friendly packaging updated by the manufacturer. Other than that, product is the same with same ingredients and UPC. We are sorry, but as a small business it is simply impossible to update any seasonal or short term package introduced by the manufacturers. With over 3000 items and hundreds of changes each year there is no way to keep up with that. That does NOT affect the quality of products or the service you receive from us. Luckily all our smart customers are aware of that.

Dishonest and deceitful

Dishonest and deceitful. I ordered lots of dickmanns and tried to add on the cold pack, but couldn’t figure out how. I immediately emailed, called them and left a message and even wrote a Facebook message about it. Was told I can’t add it on after the fact. Then got an email that if something is damaged, to co tact them for refund. When I received the order, I sent pictures. Response? No refund.

After an order has been shipped, there is no way to add cooled shipping to it - of course! Please add cooled shipping to it when placing the order. If you place your order WITHOUT it and it get damaged, it is your OWN RISK. At checkout you explicit AGREE to it. If you do not agree to it, than DON't order - or add cooled shipping BEFORE confirming and placing your order. It is simple as that.

Do not order from this company …

I ordered from this company items for about $200 including almost $50 to get it faster. Almost all the items where about to expire. Some next month and some in the next couple mont.
I kept everything, the emails and the box it came in.
I will contact the better business bureau.
I was trying to get in touch with the company in Germany but so far nothing.
Please don’t order from them.
I just saw what answer was … yes the refunded me for two items mmm for two items what were not about to expire. The other 10 or more items I still have and no they were not replaced. The refund were some points I received and no money back. I am more than welcome to show the pictures I took and what day I ordered.

Customer got a refund for 2 items that will expire soon. All other items had a best before date FAR in the future. We always ship the freshest items possible!

I placed my order Friday afternoon…

I placed my order Friday afternoon April 9th (which means it was evening in Germany) and I ALREADY received my order today Monday April 12th. Everything was shipped out of Germany, so the speed of this delivery blows my mind. I’m so happy!!! Everything was packaged carefully and arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Germanshop24!!

Not sure what to rate right now

Not sure what to rate right now, I ordered some gummies March 24th and I still have not received them. Fed ex has no update other than it is clearing in Memphis TN but that has been since April 3rd. I am worried that once I do get them they will be melted from sitting around in a warehouse somewhere

Wrong updated order

Sent wrong order despite providing updated invoice on the same day as placing original order. After delivery, they responded that last minute changes cannot always be made. The problem is it was not a last minute change. I have not heard back from them in days. (Correction: They have responded to this review.)

As you can see they responded. So everyone is clear, they did not recommend I cancel my order. Matter of fact, my order was placed on 4 Dec, I requested the correction on 4 Dec, they did not respond with anything other than an updated invoice with the requested updates, also on 4 Dec.

When I notified them of the error upon delivery, that is when they claim that they couldn't guarantee the order could be updated. Now they are making claims about mentioning canceling the order in responding to my update request. That is FALSE. No where in their response was there a single mention of canceling. As retaliation to this review they deactivated my account. That is interesting as I have no plans on ordering anything else from them. It is not that I did not get what I ordered, rather how they have responded.

I have all the email traffic for this transaction and I double checked it all. The first time they mention not being able to meet the update request was after delivery and I contacted them about the error. The first time they mention canceling the order was in their response to this review.
