I have been using Sorted for over 5 years, it was great initially, but now there are old limits and old rules since 2024. The software is not up to date with latest tax law and I have to double check a lot of information externally. Since it got acquired, it is basically abandoned.

Ich habe Sorted genutzt, um meine Buchhaltung zu erledigen - und meine Erfahrung war leider sehr enttäuschend.

Schon grundlegende Funktionen waren unzuverlässig: Die Bankanbindung hat bei mir nie funktioniert. Noch gravierender ist aber, dass die Kernfunktion nicht zuverlässig war: Der von der Plattform erzeugte Steuerbericht enthielt falsche Daten, und diese ließen sich innerhalb des Systems nicht korrigieren. Damit war der Bericht für mich unbrauchbar.

Als ich den Support kontaktiert habe, wurde das Problem nicht gelöst. Stattdessen wurde ich darauf verwiesen, kostenpflichtige Steuerberater-Leistungen in Anspruch zu nehmen. Für eine Software, die genau das vereinfachen soll, ist das aus meiner Sicht nicht akzeptabel.

Hinweis: Laut Impressum/Vertragsunterlagen ist die verantwortliche Gesellschaft in den USA ansässig (nicht in Deutschland). Für mich war das relevant, weil ich bei Problemen einen Anbieter mit Sitz in Deutschland bevorzugt hätte.

Zusätzlich wirkt es auf mich, als sei das Produkt in den letzten Jahren kaum weiterentwickelt worden. Insgesamt kann ich Sorted nicht empfehlen - es gibt am Markt deutlich zuverlässigere Alternativen.

Buggy. .. issues with basic percentage calculations for expenses. Virtually no support; wish I hadn't wasted so much time configuring everything.

Initial registration is good, taxes submitted good too.

However, later you start to see how empty this service really is. The business registration document isn't provided, so if you need one later you will have to contact city.

If you only care about someone submitting your expenses and income, once you manually sort them and upload(i haven't tried automatic ways here), then this service is fine. Hope this service improves, because paperwork in Germany is difficult already.

Ich habe ein Abonnement für Kleinunternehmer bei Sorted bezahlt. Ich dachte, dass ich einen Steuerberater zur Hand haben würde, aber dann haben sie ihren Service auf eine externe Plattform namens Deel umgestellt, wo ich wieder alle meine Informationen einreichen muss, und ich sehe den Sinn nicht oder weiß nicht, wie ich es benutzen soll. Jetzt wollte ich die Option Sorted "Chat with us" nutzen, um ihnen mein Problem mitzuteilen oder sie darüber zu informieren, dass ich ein Abonnement bezahle, das ich nicht nutze. Aber sie sind völlig unerreichbar. Es gibt keine Kontakt-E-Mail, keine Telefonnummer, und die Option „Chat mit uns“ funktioniert nicht. Wie ist das möglich? Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie mindestens eine Anlaufstelle für Ihre Kunden haben.

Ich habe mein Abonnement bei Sorted Service vor einem halben Jahr gekündigt und mein Konto gelöscht. Trotzdem werden weiterhin Beträge abgebucht, obwohl mein Konto nicht mehr existiert. Trotz mehrfacher Versuche, das Problem zu klären, setzt der Anbieter die Abbuchungen fort. Finger weg von diesem Service!

Used them to submit a form for tax number registration. They said it was submitted, but I still hadn't got a number after 2 months so I called the tax office and they said nothing had ever been submitted. No way to contact the company.

Als erstmaliger Freiberufler hat mir GetSorted.de sehr geholfen, mein Geschäft zum Laufen zu bringen. Es gibt mir die Gewissheit, dass meine Rechnungen den Steuerstandards entsprechen und vereinfacht meine Buchhaltung. Einfach zu bedienen!

I have been using this platform with relatively few problems since 2022, but for whatever reason it has not been working correctly at all for a whole month now, and because of this my quarterly VAT declaration is already 3 weeks late! I have written the customer service many times, and they can only provide very vague answers with no clear estimate of when the problem will be fixed. For 240 Euro/year, I find this completely unacceptable. Avoid this platform at all costs!

In general I find Sorted to be a great service - it's really made the financial administration for me as a solo entrepreneur so much easier over the last two years.

Great service and outstanding costumer service.

I am going to cancel my subscription soon. The tax reporting and booking functions relatively well, despite the somewhat sub-optimal usability, and the very limited help material to guide you through scenarios that go beyond the easiest and most basic ones. It used to be possible to talk to an accountant, but since the recent acquisition by Deel, you have to go through their website in order to contact an accountant. Deel is a nightmare just to sign up and login to, and the UX is poor overall. I tried to have a consultation with their accountant because they promise that if you are not satisfied, you can get your money back. I was not happy with the service because I didn't get the answer I was looking for, and it became impossible to contact the tax advisor after receiving the first answer. They initially refused to grant me a refund, I had to contact them three times and eventually only received a partial refund. After the experience, I am still not convinced I was talking to a human, the sentences coming from customer support sounded like they were from a bot, or someone who totally ignored what I've written in my previous replies. Totally unprofessional. Luckily ChatGPT was a lot more helpful than contacting their tax advisor.

Also to be pointed out is that if you have any extra income from rentals, sales of estate of investments, Sorted cannot manage that for you. Considering the price you have to pay, it's not worth it. I need a tool that allows me to manage all my sources of income without the help of an accountant, and that's not what sorted does.

Finally, I don't like the fact that I have to pay €60 every 3 months just for book keeping my expenses, rather than paying for the submission to the Finanzamt. That means if something goes wrong and you cannot submit the tax declaration, and you need another tool, you still had to pay a full year for nothing.

Mariana was exceptionally prompt and thorough when I emailed support for assistance. Her guidance made the process seem so simple and smooth when I was ready to throw in the towel.

I've been using Sorted since 2019 and I am very grateful to have such a straightforward means of book-keeping and filing taxes. I'm a freelancer with a fairly complicated tax situation (I work in the arts and have a a lot of expenses as part of my work, and I don't earn enough to employ someone to do my book-keeping). Sorted is a "one-stop shop" for all of my book-keeping and has saved me considerable time and effort.

Most recently, I asked for assistance regarding my 2023 tax declaration - I got a reply immediately with the exact information I needed.

Excellent customer service makes up for a somewhat glitchy and basic user interface.

I love Sorted for it's simplicity, though sometimes that is limiting.

However the quick response rate and useful tips from the customer support is excellent.

Sorted really makes everything taxes easy to digest, especially if you are an expat! The customer service is super efficient and responsive. Highly recommended!
