Cannot believe how antiquated the…

Cannot believe how antiquated the airport is for parking an EV. We are meant to be transitioning to electric but the airport do not provide a service to park and have your car charged on your return.
It says there infrastructure isn’t there yet but tell you about how they are changing their fleet to electric. What’s the point if passengers can’t get their vehicle charged!

Great Experience

I flew into Glasgow on Wednesday I had arranged special assistance. I was lucky enough to get Curtis he is one lovely young lad nothing was too much bother to him. He is a credit to Glasgow airport. One of the best experiences with assistance. Thank you Curtis.

Avoid choose a better option
I used Glasgow Airport valet parking recently for the first and the last time, I handed my keys at a cabin, (had to park behind a van parked outside the cabin and walk to it) I was given a ticket. Upon returning I produced the ticket and was handed my keys, told my car was parked in bay 82 “over there” (approx 300 mtr) I had to negotiate my way through a building site, very bad lighting in the dark at 1.30am, rain was pouring down. This is NOT valet parking. I would have been cheaper, drier, dropped off and picked up by taxi or taken to within 50 mtr of my car, using one of the many private airport parking services in the area. Save yourself money and stress, choose another option.

10% discount offer was useless

On return from my last trip I received an email offering a 10% parking discount if I booked using the link in the email. Decided to use it for my next trip and unfortunately the discount didn't get applied at checkout. Reported it via the website and received an email from NCP saying they had forwarded my complaint to the relevant department. Never heard back from them. Decided to fly out from Edinburgh and what a difference - Parking was much cheaper and communication was great. Used the money saved to for extras such as priority security and lounge access. If you have a choice I would recommend using Edinburgh airport

Unacceptable wait for baggage reclaim.

Glasgow airport needs to understand it's baggage reclaim times is completely unacceptable in a modern society.
I landed from holiday in June at 2am, it too lk 50 minutes to get the bags from plane to terminal which I put down to the time of night and a low level of staff to support for minimal flight.

Today, Sept I land at 1.40 in the afternoon and bags are not available until 2.30pm. Unnecessary, unacceptable and a completely lack of customer support from all levels.

Clearly understaffed at a time if day when they are at capacity and therefore demand us higher.

But they know I have no choice but to wait as I'm a small insignificant part of the process.

The airlines have an absolute cheek on them expecting their passenger to put up with this unacceptable delay.

Why?????

Too many fast-foods in a small hall!

I love GA and use it regularily, but lately it took a bad direction by inviting more American-style restaurants that offer low-quality fast food and pollute the air. The main hall is now cramped and smells permanently of burned oil. Nobody should be forced to eat it, breathe it or later smell of it! Glasgow Airport should rethink it's strategy and attract better quality vendors, not the corporations with the biggest buck and zero consideration for their consumers and other passengers.

A real mixed bag

A real mixed bag. The experience flying out from this airport was the polar opposite to the returning flight. The outbound was smooth with plenty of staff and scanning equipment to ensure that everyone got through. The inbound was hellish. Very few staff and limited avenues to handle the returning passengers. To make it worse one of the staff members said it was because it was the busiest time of day. Meaning they know how many potential passengers were due through and they didn’t put on sufficient staff or processes to manage. I feel sorry for the airlines as this reflects poorly on them put it is outside of their control.
It is obvious that Glasgow Airport are trying to force people to pay for express handling yet they go through the same channels.
Pure incompetence and greed.

How to ruin any trip

Dreadful. Ruins any trip. Nonsense ‘family’ channel in passport control making anyone travelling alone wait longer- how is that fair? Airport is Filthy, old, tired, no staff about. 1 hour for luggage to arrive. Looks like the same drivers picking up passengers (which was a 20 minute wait) also must be collecting the baggage. An absolute embarrassment. Avoid at all cost until investment is made.

Absolute Shambles

Absolute Shambles. 1 hour 10 minutes to get through Security this morning, when are you going to make it bigger or have all security gates working during busy periods. Staff walking about hands in pockets not displaying a professional attitude. Bags are checked then you are left to pack it again but asked to move on so they can check others. Get to gate and flight is delayed. Dispatchers cant deal with problems, ask supervisor about getting on new flight says go to gate 8, woman at gate 8 starts getting annoyed as people are coming over . She then makes a call and then, says we need to go to gate 10, but by that time we are at the end of a queue of about 30 people and the next available flight is full. Why do you think it is ok to treat travelers this way

Luggage another 35 minutes !
And they don’t care - not for the first time
I do wish I could fly from somewhere else

far too long to go through passp[ort control

Came through passport control at midnight on 11 the august 2025 and the line was ridiculous the machines are faulty meaning they don't read peoples passports.or is it that we supply cheap unreadable passports, also the guys and women on the desks are rude when I complained, it took almost an hour to get through, what a horrible thing at the end of a holiday , oh yes there was no staff shortage just a full compliment of no use machines and poor staff

Unfortunately from the moment we…

Unfortunately from the moment we stepped in, it was as if we ruined the day for every member of staff.
Very unhelpful, rude and not willing to do their job without showing it on their faces.
I get it.. It's miserable working full time, but when people are going on holiday, full of optimism and excitement, please don't crush it. We don't get to do this often.

Horrendous waiting times at passport…

Horrendous waiting times at passport control and luggage reclaim.

20 minutes at passport control then 30 minutes at luggage reclaim late last year.

Then today 20 minutes at passport control and 40 minutes at luggage reclaim!

Appalling. Also on both of my recent visits the men’s downstairs toilet has been closed. I could only find the one downstairs.

For anyone who doesn’t really need to use this airport I would say, “ don’t”. Sadly most people in SW Scotland have no other option.

Avoid Flying Out of This Airport

This is the worst airport I have ever visited. I was flying out for a short flight to Ireland. One of their staff at TSA was a middle-aged woman with short hair who decided to publicly humiliate me as I was the only Asian in the area surrounding 10-15 Caucasians. My white boyfriend and his sister were searched by her and her coworker after me and they could not be more obvious. My boyfriend’s sister had triple the amount of liquid, in front and on her back. She did not have to throw a single item away while I had to toss a whole bag. I know for a fact all my bottles fall within the 3 oz rule that every airport has. I traveled a lot while the sister has never traveled overseas and was breaking multiple rules as she was carrying full size bottles over 3 oz. I then watched my boyfriend get searched by the same female staff that searched me and immediately saw the difference. My boyfriend had double the amount of liquid that I had. That female staff did not force him to throw anything away nor was she condescending towards him. I reached out online and submitted a complaint detailing everything, but Robert Horsburgh who is the “Security Operations Manager ICTS” decided to only watch a partial clip on the CCTV. I asked him to continue watching it so he could see clear as day the rule was not applied to everyone around me. He has not replied since 6/12/2024 and I have followed up a total of 4-5 times via email before posting this review. Also, I received a response from John Lister, "Compliance & Training Manager," who was completely unhelpful, vague, and dismissive on 7/1/2025. He told me he was "unable to comment on the individuals around me or the person who searched my belongings" and how I needed to go to the police to report the matter. This airport does not take pride in having diversity or accountability for their staffs.

Extortionate parking fees

Extortionate parking fees.
I went out to the airport to collect a relative on their return from a holiday. Their flight was due in at 2000. I checked several times for updates on the arrival time and it was still 2000. I arrived at 2010 and went into the pick up area and messaged relative to say where I was, they told me they had just landed 10 mins late. Baggage reclaim was slow so I was over my 15 mins. In total I was in pick up area for 28 mins and was charged £50 on exiting the car park.

Worst airport we came across

This has to be one of the worst airports to travel into. Around an hour to get through passport control at 0200 hrs. I think they are causing the frustration so that passengers pay the £15 per head fast lane. Surely they cannot be happy with the reviews they are receiving. Bad management.

Passport Control utterly chaotic

Passport Control utterly chaotic. Far too few electronic gates , appallingly organised queueing . Security on departure is slowly getting better but arrival checks worse than ever. Compared to other European airports it is a shambles - Malaga handles three times the numbers in a fraction of the time . This has not much to do with Brexit - it is largely under investment and desperately poor management.

Passport Control hell at Glasgow.

At a time when we are demanding holiday hotspots increase capacity at passport control, you return to Glasgow airport to find only 5 scanners in place.
Hundreds of passengers queue for an hour to get through UK passport control in a confined area.
There is plenty of floor space for at least 20 more with a little bit of re-organising.
Health and Safety guidelines are probably being disregarded in this queuing system, what would happen if there was a fire alarm. How would 5 or 6 hundred passengers be able to clear this area quickly when there is one door in and one door out. A disaster waiting to happen!
