I cannot say enough positive things about Global Citizens Solutions and the support they provided throughout the process of securing my resident visa in Portugal. From start to finish, their team was attentive, diligent, and extremely knowledgeable, making what could have been a very complex and overwhelming process feel manageable and well‑organized.
Communication was truly excellent — timely, clear, and consistent — and I always felt informed and supported at every step. A truly exceptional experience. They walked us through the D7 process and turned what looked like an over whelming effort into a fairly straightforward one. We were well (if not over) prepared for our consulate visit. They accompanied us to our AIMA appointment where they presented all the paper work and all we needed to do was sit and wait to be called for our picture and to sign documents.

Our contacts were personable, professional, attentive, highly organized, quick to respond to questions/concerns and above all extremely knowledgeable about the requirements needed for this process. In my opinion the price they charge for this service (that makes it as stress free as possible) is a fair price.

If you're looking to relocate to Portugal, I strongly recommend that you partner with GCS. GCS advised me on acquiring a Portugal Golden Visa in 2025.

I decided to go with GCS after having a very helpful and informative call with Willyan. João, Jaime, and Leticia were responsible for handling my case, and I really appreciate how kind, knowledgeable, and communicative all of them were. We began the process in late July 2025 and had the application submitted in early September 2025 - a total of about 6 weeks, an incredibly quick turnaround. GCS gave me very clear instructions and guided me through every step.

Just as they did with my initial application, GCS handled everything around my biometrics appointment smoothly and professionally. I was fortunate that my appointment was also scheduled incredibly quickly after my application (scheduled 1 month later in October 2025, appointment occurred 5 months later in February 2026). GCS handled all of my documents, and a GCS lawyer (Alice) kindly guided me through the entire appointment.

How quickly the initial application process moves is really up to you - it's up to you to provide the documents that GCS needs. That means there's some hands-on involvement with the process, but personally I preferred this so that I could understand what information was needed and why. I want to emphasize as well that GCS is not a financial advisor, meaning they cannot provide advice regarding in which fund to invest - you should have a separate personal financial advisor who can run due diligence against the funds that you're considering.

All in all, I can't think of anything GCS could have done better in assisting me, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with them.

This company is amazing!! They were incredibly knowledgeable about every step of the Visa process and gave us constant guidance throughout. After years of thinking about it, we finally moved to Portugal and Global Citizen Solutions made it possible. I would recommend them to anybody who is looking to move.

I was hesitant to hire GCS because of the cost, but they have been well worth it. From getting my VFS appointment (which I had been unsuccessful doing for 2 months), to the peace of mind that they were reviewing and making sure I had the documents I needed, to videoconference calls for all clients from the managing director when the immigration laws were changing, it was a relief to have someone knowledgeable to go to with all my questions.
Could I have done it myself? Maybe, but there is enough stress and things to do when you are already moving to a new country without reinventing the wheel. Rachel and Leandro and the entire team were outstanding with help and their responses to my thousand questions, and assistance at the AIMA appointment.

I engaged GCS to support us in applying for the Portugal Golden Visa for our family and have to say that they have been amazing in supporting us on this journey. Despite the various setbacks and changes in the laws, GCS has always kept us updated in a timely manner and also helped to provide recommendations on the best way forward. What I also liked was that GCS was upfront about the costs, with no hidden fees and were very clear on what support they can or cannot provide.

I'd like to call out Joao Recker (immigration law) as well as Lourenco Alvares (investment services) especially who were extremely helpful and responsive throughout this time.

They moved very fast clearly explaining the overall process, helped me gather the required documents with proper notarization or apostilling and also for opening a bank account in Portugal. They clearly communicated what to expect for the appointment, came fully prepared for the in-person appointment and ensured that the whole process went smoothly. So far I have only good things to say about my experience working with GCS and highly recommend them.
