I bought a Squale ED watch In Gnomon but it stopped quite often; it’s quality not as good as they say.

I ordered a GMT Ocean One Titanium 42mm back in February 2019.
When I received it I notice that the GMT hand did not line up at the 2400 hr marker, it was off about (20) min. on the hour.
I notified Gnomon and they sent me this message:
**Send the watch back to us wrapped in layers of bubble wrap(without the original box please) and the warranty card using a secure, traceable courier.

Please email me a copy of the receipt once you ship, so we can reimburse you the return charges of up to $40.

Please declare package as a repair watch and under $250 to facilitate customs clearance.

Please allow 2-4 weeks upon receipt of the watch for it to be ready.

As of July 1st 2019 when Anders Tan received my watch, it has now been (6) weeks! I sent out (4) emails along with (2) phone calls (NO Answer) to inquire about the status of my watch. Still as of today 8/12/19, NO REPLY on the status of my GMT!! I have purchased (4) watches from Gnomon (2) Squale and (2) Steinhart over a three year period - no problems with those, but this has been a bad expierence to say the least. For a $700. watch and prior custumer, I would expect better communication. Bottom line - DO NOT SEND BACK FOR REPAIRS!! I will keep everyone up to date with the outcome - hopefully very soon...not happy.

I ordered a watch via Paypal there after being specifically assured that this model is in stock . Shortly after my order was in the shop indicated that the watch is out of stock and GNOMON sent me - without any communikation - a completely different watch. Although a free return was offered, but the customs fees I would have paid in vain. So I had to keep the wrong watch.

Purchased an $800 Steinhart watch. A couple of months after receiving, one of the screws in the band came out and was lost. That was 5-months and about 10 requests to Gnomon later. Once they get your money, they forget you as a customer. I cannot recommend them considering their terrible follow up support.

REPLY TO BELOW: No...I had the correct email. I received promises that the screws would be sent, but never received. You seemed to have the correct address for the watch so why are the screws such an issue?? I've since re-verified my address...still no service.

FOLLOW UP: I have now received my screws as requested. Unfortunate that it tool a poor review to get action, but I was ultimately taken care of by the company. Thank you.

Very fast service. My Seiko JDM watch is great. The watch was packed very very securely.

Have bought 3 Swiss watches from Anders Tan over 2018-2019 and received excellent service. The free DHL shipping service is excellent as well. I'm a USA customer and the level of detail provided by the DHL tracking is awesome; they even tell you what date and time the package clears US Customs and leaves and arrives at each shipping / sorting facility.

My first watch had a minor problem with the crown/stem, and Anders responded to me immediately in resolving the issue to my satisfaction.

As to the negative reviews here which would be of concern to any buyer, it is my opinion that a small business like Gnomon can experience a variety of situations that aren't totally their fault and can result in bad reviews (shipping mishaps, delays in communication to buyer due to Gnomon being overwhelmed with orders, or those buyers that can't be satisfied no matter what you do). Quite honestly, I had a few experiences where it seemed to me that Anders did not respond to my email at all, or it took a couple of days or more. When I eventually get in touch, he is always courteous, professional, and tries to provide excellent customer service. In his defense, I don't expect him to be sitting in his store 24/7 answering emails and I can understand that some communications can occasionally get "lost in the shuffle" with the volume of sales they do. Given Gnomon's excellent selection and great discounted prices, I don't mind the risk as I trust Anders to take care of me as a customer in the end.

That's the good and bad of buying from Gnomon. I hope that this review helps prospective buyers to make their decision in an informed manner.

Ordered a JDM Seiko SRPC35J1, got delivered faster than expected, the packaging was good, nothing wrong with the watch too, warranty card included. The customer support replies quickly and the staff is friendly. Would totally order from them again.

My 3rd watch that l have bought from Gnomon watches and they have not disappointed. Less than 5 days to reach me. Always super responsive to queries. I just wish l had a bigger bank balance to buy more watches. Give them a go, you won't regret it.

2 bad experience with gnomon.
1. Ordered a Seiko with a lug width wrongly listed on their site (17mm instead of 16mm) - did not offer any future discounts or a refund (also terrible refund policy listed on their website)

2. Ordered a watch which did not arrive after 3 weeks. Contacted gnomon who told me they have tried to email me (they did not, I check my email religiously). Subsequently told me that it will be restocked and delivered within next 2 weeks, and it did not happen (this time they said they ordered from Seiko but did not get stock) now asking for a refund a full month after ordering a watch. Not impressed

Somehow found Gnomon thru a web search for Ball watches. I then signed-up for their newsletter. And, about week later they started emailing me specials on Ball watches. Out of the few emails one caught my attention and I placed my order promptly. I ordered on Wed morning US pacific time and on Friday morning it had already arrived!

The speed is amazing since they are based in Singapore..! My new Ball watch was in perfect new condition and with my signed Ball warranty card.

Will definitely keep Gnonom as a dealer for future watches!

I purchased a Seiko SBDC053 with bracelet on Friday March 15. 2019. I knew when I ordered this watch it would not be processed until Monday the 18th. It is Friday the 22nd and my watch arrived in a small town in Utah. The watch is exactly as ordered. This is only one transaction, but the delivery time was excellent and the watch was new with tags. The only issue was with DHL, after it reached Las Vegas it said "forwarded for delivery". After that the watch was handed over to USPS and I was unable to track.

Ordered an Alpina online with Gnomon Watches and paid via their PayPal facility without a hitch. Then Anders Tan @ Gnomon asked for additional ID documents in order to go ahead with the online purchase, when the electronic payment was evidently already approved and processed by PayPal and delivery address also verified. The order ended up being cancelled as a result. Disappointing 1st time experience as delighting customers is clearly not a priority for Gnomon Watches. Wouldn’t bother buying from this company again as this has been a great waste of time.

Reply to Gnomon’s reply:
1. To clarify, a photo ID was provided clearly showing full name which was initially requested by, then promptly rejected by Gnomon.
2. Using a legitimate business address (along with my CC’s billing address boith green-lit by PayPal as shown in the screenshot provided by Gnomon themselves) for delivery during normal business hours appears to be fraudulent to Gnomon - huh? What are they, still stuck trying to figure out how Internet shopping works in 2019?
3. Notwithstanding that my order was discriminated given I’m based outside of Gnomon’s domicile location, I’ve nevertheless committed to be travelling to their Singapore shop location, and present a hard copy of my cancelled order along with my credentials in person whilst on business in a matter of weeks. I challenge any authorised Gnomon representative to, upon my visit and verification ie same name, same CC etc. as per my earlier order (1) offer any reasonable means to rectify and mutually resolve this matter (2) acknowledge and publish a REAL apology formally here on Trustpilot, if they indeed care about their reputation as a trusted watch dealer.
Your call Gnomon, better be prepared for my visit when you thought you can just sit behind your keyboard and say whatever about customers on the Internet. I suggest in the meantime sit down and take a good hard look at your ‘procedures’ and more importantly drop your arrogance and start listening to what genuine feedback customers have to offer and understand why you’re sitting on 3 star rating out of 5 here.
To all - I will update my feedback again after my impending visit to Gnomon - watch this space.

I recently bought a watch from GNOMON. Upon arrival, I noticed that there was something on the watch face from inside the glass. I emailed GNOMON with pictures asking for a replacement . GNOMON said that they are making a decision on my request. I haven't heard from them for a week!
A good and reputable retail store should stand by their product. Specially if their product comes with the manufactures warranty and the store's own warranty. Also, what is there to decide on? the watch had problem upon arrival so they should just replace it with no questions asked.

Update: I eventually receive a reply from their repair team. They sent me a shipment label and asked me to send them back my watch. It seems like they want to repair it. I would not want that. I had requested for a replacement. I have emailed them again to clarify this but they only email back once a week on Thursday mornings so it seems like I have to wait for another week to hear from them, which is super frustrating!

Well I still haven't gotten my refund back from GNOMON Watches for the watch that I paid for and never received so I'll keep writing bad reviews until get my money back from them... DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM GNOMON WATCHES OR USE DHL EXPRESS THEIR THIEVES !!!

Recently I have purchased a 1545 MIltitray 20 ATM, When I checked the case back, It has scartch marks on it. I have email to the company but no respond from them. Is this the attitude of the company since I ordered on line and is far away. That means there will not be a repeat customer

Did some research into this company before buying from them and so glad I took the plunge and put my trust in them. Outstandingly fast delivery from a genuine authorised dealer in Singapore to my home in the UK, ordered on Monday and arrived Thursday, incredible. Well packaged and even a surprise free NATO strap thrown in. Picked up the Seiko SRPC25J1 which is hard to find in the UK from an AD. Cheaper than anywhere even with the £26 customs charge. I'm now looking at a Steinhart and will certainly be buying from them in the future. Very happy indeed.

Delivered to the U.K. within 3 days! Very minor import costs considering the price of the watch (£26) but this can be paid on the DHL site to avoid faff. Would use again!

Talk about super fast shipping, I recieved my items two days after they sent me my tracking number. I love my new seiko and I will be a repeat customer

What a pleasant service and great buying experience I've had with Gnomon.

I ordered my Steinhart Ocean One on Saturday evening and expected the delivery to take at last 5 days. But I got a well packaged DHL today. It is just amazing how quick Gnomon watches processed my order and delivered the product to Sydney, Australia with no additional costs.

No troubles and perfect service. I'll be buying again, with no concerns.
