Stay Away from GHF!

Stay away from GHF. They came across my Instagram feed advertising cherries. I LOVE cherries and while I knew we were past cherry season, it didn't occur to me they would charge so much if they weren't decent. I purchased 5 lbs for $149. What they sent me was a complete crap, and a rip off. I paid $29.80 per lb for rotting cherries. This was a huge splurge for me, and I feel completely taken. I tried emailing them and have gotten no reply.

Better places to order from

Ordered the cherries and a stone fruit box. Most of the cherries showed up in good shape but the stone fruit box that was supposed to be plums, peaches and nectarines was trash. First there were no plums even in the box and all the peaches were smashed and one nectarine was smashed so I ended up paying 119 bucks for 3 nectarines that were ok at best. The cherries were great and very large. Reached out to them sent pics and was told I would get a replacement and they would stay in contact till I did. That was the last I heard from them and never got the replacement. There's way better places to order from like tropicalfruitbox.com and iheartfruitbox.com never had a smashed piece from them and they use ice packs to keep fruit semi chilled during transit. Another thing goodhill is supposed to be California based but my fruit shipped from Illinois which is fairly close to me so it should have made it intact if packed better but sitting peaches and nectarines in a box with 5+ lbs of cherries on top of them with no packing or cardboard dividers it's gonna get smashed. The other places I mentioned are much further and package their fruit way better never had a damaged piece from them. Also was supposed to get a free mango and cacao pod and got an avocado instead 🤦🏼‍♂️

Terrible experince

Here is the email I sent the owner, Sasha that describes my experience:
Dear Sasha,
I just received my so called “replacement” box to find just 6 peaches and no avocados or mangos. My first order which contained all 3 fruits arrived leaking and overripe so none of it was usable. I sent 2 emails and pictures asking for a refund. But was told no refunds!

Now after paying you for mangos, avocados and peaches you only replace peaches which are about half of what I paid. I’m not surprised at all when I looked on line at your reviews - they are terrible and reflect my experience. I feel taken advantage of and ripped off since I paid you twice as much as what you sent me and they were super overpriced anyway.

You don’t seem to understand the power of great customer service combined with exceptional products. And, you don’t seem to understand the power of the internet and reviews that the world can see.

I plan to add to your long list of terrible reviews as soon as I finish this email to you.

Buyer Beware!!

I bought $160 worth of lychees and mandarins and just received them today. Most of the bags of lychees had several lychees that had mold on them (and this is supposed to be tree to doorstep service?). I tried two and they were small and tart and not sweet and the pits were huge. I had texted them previously to ask what variety they sold and they said they couldn't tell me because sometimes they're grown on the good hill farm and other times "sourced from [their] California partner farms." There were a few red flags when I was considering purchasing from them (like their poor customer service when I was ordering and had questions) but the advertisements on Facebook and their website were very enticing. I regret not doing more research into this company before purchasing from them. The mandarins were small and several had dried up/shriveled up skin that presumably will reflect the quality of the inside. I contacted good hill farms for a full refund but looking at their refund policy (despite it saying "if you're not 100% satisfied, we'll replace or refund your order, no questions asked"), reading here and elsewhere, I question whether they will honor their refund policy. I did file a dispute with my credit card company.

Rotten fruit and zero customer service

The fruit arrived very poorly packed with at least on being rotten and the rest VERY ripe. The promise of prompt reply to customer service is just a joke. I have left multiple messages and no one has contacted me yet. IN ADDITION.... when I received my credit card statement today, there are multiple charges!!!!!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam, I paid $360 for multiple items, and 2 boxes of passion fruits missing.
Immediately called but went to voice mail, left message, emailed abd after 6 hours got email that they shipped everything and nothing is missing.
Wirth $158 items are missing and they are lying.

Stay away from this company, ill be filing grievance with the small courts , its not about money l, its about cheating!!

They are scamsters , they huy stuff from local shops and ship charging customers 5 times more and above that cheat on items.

Pretty disappointing

I purchased 2lbs of special fruits and received a free fruit of choice so I picked mango. I paid a little under $100. After weeks, I received the package, the mango ended up a papaya which none of us eats, the special fruits was kind of ok but had to throw several of them because they were bad, took photos but not sure I can upload it here. I mean for $50/lb I'd expect every freakin piece to be amazing. I contacted customer service and the response was even worse than the bad fruit itself. Pretty disappointing.

I paid $64.20 for approximately $3.50 of fruit

It's embarrassing what I paid ($64.20) but what I received today was two large mangoes just like I bought at my grocery store last week for $.97 each and two small haas avocados just like my grocery store sells for $.58 apiece. (I had requested cherimoya, not avocados.) Their site photos showed 4 mangos. My first warning sign was that my package originated from tropical…CHICAGO.

A week ago I received the order that has molded papaya, rock hard sour sop, wilted and clearly bad fruits. I got the $139 choice and I tell you the five items were not worth $20. I have sent several pic with emails and still waiting for someone to respond about my refund.

Worst purchase ever as they were all rotten and had to throw away so don’t waste your money on this pathetic so called business.

There are better options

First, the Reed avocados are delicious and I truly love shopping direct from the farm. That said, I am quite disappointed with Goodhill Farms (San Diego).
They made several substitutions. I completely understand the variety of clementines/ mandarins for blood oranges. However there were awkward substitutions (Kumquats for Lychees) and Heidi from customer service stood by the decision. She stated it is all by weight and basically I was out of luck.
This was a spendy Valentine gift to myself and it is disappointing. I should have read these reviews before I bought it.

Incredibly expensive fruit, not worth the price

Incredibly expensive fruit, deceptive selling, weights of all fruits purchased was less than promised. None of the fruit was damaged in transit, but all fruit was unripe. Would never buy from them again. Lesson learned.

If I could I would give them no stars, did not get some of the items I ordered, and the ones I got were spoilt, the price was crazy $40 for 2 dragon fruits hell no I'm not satisfied I'm returning all their rotten fruit to them.How can I add a pic I need people to see what I got for $118

Not worth the cost and bad quality products

Upon receiving my order from this company, I strongly advise against purchasing from them. The prices are exorbitant compared to local farmers' markets or grocery stores, where you can find identical items for a fraction of the cost. For instance, they charged $80 ($39 with discount) for just two mangoes, weighing about 2 lbs total. This pricing is extremely overly inflated.

They advertise 1-3 day delivery on their side; however, they messed up my order, and delivered after 7 days.

Furthermore, the quality of the fruit does not live up to their claims. A third of the mangoes were bad and had to be tossed. A fifth of the longans provided were broken. You're better off shopping elsewhere, where you can get significantly more produce - potentially six times the amount - for the same price. Overall, I found this experience to be disappointing and not worth the cost.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
