Never again!

goods only dispatched more than 3 weeks after order placed and after two emails to investigate but my bank account debited immediately I placed the order. Not a company I would use ever again

No refund

I placed an order in October (reading most of the reviews people have had issues receiving their order) I personally haven’t which is why I continued to order from this site and hadn’t looked at their reviews until now. On this occasion the items arrived open/faulty so I contacted them to return this and they said they would process the refund straight away. I returned both items and paid for postage which they said they would reimburse. The conversation regarding the refund had been ongoing from October to January. Each time they said “I will get this looked into for you and make sure this is refunded” “I can now confirm it has been refunded” but it hadn’t. Then when I replied to say I’ve had that same reply numerous times they decided not to reply at all. They basically stole my money and plenty of other people’s by the looks of these reviews. Never buying from here ever again. If I had read the reviews before buying I would never have bought from here. I have now contacted my bank (halifax) and I’ve been able to get my refund, excluding the postage money, so only lost out on £3.79 now. Contact your bank if they have not refunded you or if you have not received your order.

They are hopeless!

They are hopeless. I am waiting 2 months for my order, they said it could be longer because of covid - postage can take slightly longer and I agreed, but it was dispatched from them 1 month after I placed my order. So it's not covid related issue, it's them. And I keep messaging them and they ignore me, parcel stuck with Hermes for a month now and I cannot do anything about it. Awful, awful company, never gonna purchase again and won't recommend.

Only gave them one star as wasn’t sure if none was an option. Ordered over £60 of Moroccan oil products over a year ago. Goods never arrived, fought with them for a year trying to either get the goods or a refund. Got neither. It’s ridiculous that a company like this can still trade. Don’t touch them with a barge pole.

I placed an order from Italy for £ 107.00. I have been waiting 2.5 months for delivery. the goods never arrived. after many reminders, they asked me if I wanted my money back and I accepted. no refunds ever came. A REAL ONLINE SCAM. I will try to make a complaint to the judicial authority and to my credit card.

Should have read reviews before…

Should have read reviews before ordering! I guess I should feel lucky that I finally did receive my very expensive 2 bottles of shampoo ..... however, it has taken over 3 weeks and lots of unanswered calls and emails. Definitely AVOID like the plague! Also calling themselves goosberryshop.

Avoid as take your money but don't send goods!

AVOID - I ordered goods from Gooseberryshop.Co.Uk who have the same address listed as Gooseberry Hair Salon. Order was placed in September, but after many emails saying goods were delayed, then out with Courier, then would I like refund, then on way, etc etc I did a chargeback at the end of November via John Lewis (Mastercard) and the money was credited to my account a few days later. I kept emailing Gooseberry asking them to confirm the order was now cancelled but heard nothing.
I’d assumed that John Lewis had got the money from Gooseberry, but it turns out they hadn’t: they’d marked it as a loss and refunded me themselves, which means Gooseberry’s gain will be clawed back by John Lewis / Mastercard customers somehow. SO GOOSEBERRY STILL HAVE MY £40 FOR THE GOODS THEY NEVER SUPPLIED.
This is sad as I believe we should support small, local retailers, but this company have made me think twice about doing so in future.
If Gooseberry read this and refund me, or send proof they’ve refunded John Lewis, I’ll happily update this review.

Awful!!

Awful!!! I placed an order on the 8th of Dec 2020 and I am still waiting after 2 months... nobody pick the phone and when they answer to emails offering a refund, they don't come back to you if you accept it. It is scam!!!

Order made on November 26th 2020 (£150.94).

The products of the order have not been shipped and on January 14th 2021 I asked to cancel the order and proceed with the refund.

I received the e-mail everybody in this same situation receives after asking for a refund in Gooseberry:

We will get this processed for you. Refunds can take anywhere from 3-10 business days to appear in your account. I hope this helps. 😊
---

However, until today, February 3rd, the refund has not been done and they don't reply to any of my e-mails.

I already contacted my bank and my lawyer and a process to communicate the fraud is already in progress in the police and also in the international VISA network.

I will update my review if Gooseberry reply to my e-mails.

Product never arrived - SCAM!!

Ordered some product and had to email to ask where it was just over a week later. Product was never shipped. After a few weeks I eventually received a message asking me if I could wait a few days it would definitely be with me on the Friday. That was almost ANOTHER week ago. I have requested a refund every day since and have had NO communication from them what so ever.
Companies like this should not be allowed to trade.

Scam, rip off, money takers

I ordered a 2 litre bottle of olaplex which took WEEKS to be processed let alone shipped! Before it was processed I complained of it taking so long to even acknowledge my order but happy to take my money. I was then told I would get a full refund and my order would be cancelled. Instead my order was not cancelled nor was I refunded any of my £90 but I was then sent a 250ml bottle of olaplex which costs about £25!!! Do not use unless you want to be robbed of your money.

Awful company DO NOT USE. I placed an order on the 21st November to allow enough time for Christmas delivery and there was a delay in dispatching which I understood and continued to wait for my product. Hermes “attempted to delivery” my product but have stated no one was in when I was in the whole time. I have contact Gooseberry and they have said they are trying to contact Hermes, this was a week and still no product. Only a few days away from Christmas and I do not have my product and not enough time to order from elsewhere.

GOOSEBERRY FOOL

By far the worst online shopping experience of my life.
A bunch of theives taking people's hard earned money and not sending out what they have paid for.
I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO TRADING STANDARDS, I suggest everyone does the same.
Disgusting they are allowed to continue ripping people off.

Wish I had read these reviews suffered the same fate as everyone else. Disgusting service!!! Did finally get my product 48 days after placing the order, but it was damaged (although not beyond use).
Went through 31 e.mails with them alternating between the shippers have lost your order, to we've found it and its on its way, and those smiley emojis just add injury to insult!. Please spare yourself the pain do not use this absolutely useless company
