Great coach for the PCOS girlies
I joined Grace at a time when I was really unhappy with myself. I had just been diagnosed with PCOS, was overwhelmed by the endless advice online, and had no idea what actually suited me. Deep down, I knew I needed someone to keep me accountable because I also knew that if I hit a plateau or didn’t see immediate results, I would give up.
With PCOS, hormone fluctuations and water retention can make it difficult to see changes on the scales. If I hadn’t had Grace reassuring and guiding me throughout the process, I probably would have resorted to starving myself or under-fuelling, which would only have led me to quit altogether. While the scales didn’t show dramatic changes, what was actually happening was a huge shift in my body composition. My measurements went down every single week, and that kept me motivated.
One thing I really appreciated was how much Grace listened. From the beginning, I was honest with her about how hectic my life is in Dubai and how easily I can become overwhelmed if I take on too much. I told her that three gym sessions a week was realistic for me and that I needed support to stay consistent over the next three months. She completely understood and tailored everything around that.
Throughout the process, I never felt the need to hide anything or make excuses, which is something I had experienced with previous PTs. I could be honest and say, “I can’t give you seven perfect days, but I can give you six,” and she would work with that. Even though I didn’t give the perfect week every week, my measurements continued to decrease and my progress photos consistently showed results.
