It does not cost much more than the chimney sweeping I would need anyway and it gives me peace of mind that the stove is safe and good to go. Byron the engineer was first class as normal, plus support from office always helpful and polite

Byron (the engineer) quickly diagnosed the likely source of the problem (a failed ignition unit), and Grandisson did an excellent job in sourcing a replacement, given that the fire is 25 years old! About a month later Byron fitted the new unit and serviced the fire very professionally. I had to ask for the service certificate, which I had been told would be sent to me automatically.

The difficult fireplace installation was completed in a very professional manner in one day. Despite having to remove most of an old unit there was virtually no mess and the wall was re-plastered and made good to a very high standard. A lot of useful information regarding care and cleaning was also given.
