I very recently stumbled across them on IG and thank goodness for that because they immediately wrote fantastic letters and have been impressed every time. Thoroughly knowledgeable about field of law and processes and extremely impressive letter dealing with the issues which got the ball rolling immediately. I highly recommend them any day. Fees are extremely reasonable and affordable unlike extortionate solicitors fees per hour. Ts & Cs transparent, no lengthy ambiguous wording. So glad I found them when I really needed them.

Please do not confuse access to an AI tool with being represented by a solicitor.

Alex Monaco is a genuine SRA-regulated solicitor. However, Grapple Law is a separate AI service and a trading name of Grapple Tech Ltd, not the SRA-regulated firm Monaco Solicitors Ltd. Grapple Law’s own Terms state that the service is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, has no professional indemnity insurance, does not fall under the Legal Ombudsman, and has no human lawyers checking its communications. Its complaints policy says that the legal information and guidance are provided directly by AI, without interaction with a human lawyer as part of the service.

Its Privacy Policy also warns that using Grapple Law is not the same as instructing a human solicitor and that legal professional privilege may not apply in the same way. The Terms expressly state that AI can make mistakes and that the service is used at the client’s own risk. Grapple may nevertheless charge a 15% “no win, no fee” success fee when it negotiates a payment.

I use freely available AI myself to organise information, understand legal terminology and improve drafts. It can be extremely useful as an assistant. However, I would never confuse polished AI-generated language with professional legal representation. An AI system can sound authoritative while overlooking evidence, limitation dates, legal tests, procedural requirements or the consequences of sending a particular letter.

When a matter is serious, I place the decisive work in the hands of a qualified human solicitor, either by paying for professional representation or by finding a solicitor willing to act under a genuine “no win, no fee” agreement.

Grapple Law may be useful as a drafting and information tool, but vulnerable people facing dismissal, discrimination or financial hardship should understand exactly what they are signing up for. The presence of a qualified solicitor in the advertising does not mean that he, or any other human solicitor, is personally reviewing and supervising your case.

Before using it, read the Terms carefully, establish who is legally acting for you, what insurance and regulatory protection you have, whether your communications are legally privileged, and exactly when the 15% fee becomes payable.

Grapple is a great help and provides near instant, logical answers with the rationale used, when it analyses legal questions, or complex evidence documentation. It builds your case for an Employment tribunal, and no doubt for our legal disputes. I'm surprised it's free to use, I'd pay for its help with queries and analysis of documentation and evidence for a monthly fee. It's better for law queries than the other popular AIs. You only pay on a no win, no fee basis - 25% of winnings, which is a bit steep. My insurance company, at my request, was going to instruct Grapple or its owner Monaco Solicitors to act on my behalf. Unfortunately, Monaco won'twork under the T&Cs of insurance.
