After I placed my order
After I placed my order, they went out of their way to reach out and inform me that one item was out of stock. This allowed me to modify the order, which they graciously accommodated. The delivery was swift, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience.

Direct wines 10/10 DPD 5/10!…
Direct wines were easy to order with and had good clear communications. However DPDtheir chosen logistics complany, did not deliver as promised. To date I have been asked for feedback but have not recieved the wine. However in DHL's defence they let me know they had a problem and that they will deliver tomorrow. Assuming they do so it will be 48 hrs late. In summary Direct wines fine, their delivery company less so.

December is the busiest time of year for couriers, and drivers are seriously overworked, so our usual 1–2 day window isn’t always possible right before Christmas.
That said, we did guarantee delivery before Christmas — and we’re pleased we were able to deliver on that promise.
We use DPD because they’re generally one of the best options out there, but we agree it’s frustrating when delays happen.
Hopefully everything’s now arrived safely and as expected — but if anything isn’t quite right, just let us know and we’ll put it right straight away.
