Absolutely blissful time had at Ashfield Place Farm. 16 people gathered to celebrate a dear friends 60th. Everything in the house was wonderful from the enormous kitchen, amazing dining room, fabulous bedrooms, pool table and then topped off with the most beautiful gardens, pool, jacuzzi and tennis courts. The welcome basket was superb. My 2nd time at Ashfield and I’ll def be back in 2027. Jason, the caretaker was brilliant.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with family at Fawley Court, South Herefordshire near Ross on Wye which was a central location to meet for those of us travelling from Manchester, London and Cornwall. Property is huge, immaculately clean and fresh. A real sense of occasion, style and prestige. Kitchen situated far from pool/ bbq area so took an age to transfer plates/ drinking glasses back and forth. A trolley and trays would work well. Dining Hall is grand for formalities but kitchen relatively small and no morning room to sit for informal breakfast etc. Some bedrooms are off annexes which is not clear from the floorplan. Remember to take your own shampoo/ shower gel. Cross the road to access the pond and formal gardens all of which are breathtaking. Recommend nearby 'Cottage of Content' for great food and warm welcome. I stayed 2 nights but wish it had been 3 (3 nights not available on my birthday week, even though booked 6-months in advance) Special mention to 'Ross' their man on location who is friendly and went 'above and beyond...' . Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fawley Court, I would go back in a heartbeat. Enjoy!

We had a fantastic time at Alward House. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival and housed us all. Our party didnt feel on top of each other at all. The walled garden which had the pool, hot tub and tennis court was fabulous! We were so lucky with the weather and we felt like we were abroad. It was lovely. Booking with Group Retreats was easy and they were on hand leading up the stay with any questions. We will definitely come back!

The house and grounds are lovely and the kids enjoyed all the facilities such as the pool, games room and tennis courts. I highly recommend the house it made for a wonderful family gathering.

A lovely comfortable home. Plenty of space inside and out. Had the weather been warmer at Easter we would have used the natural pool. The hot tub was great. Plenty of seating outside and enough room to park six cars.
Plenty of crockery and high end kitchen equipment.
Best space for large groups that all need some “own” space.
Minor aesthetic touches - touch up with paint in some areas, cushions on chairs / but dies not distract from having a good time.
Personally I would de-clutter a bit in kitchen/dining area - but that is just my preference.

We had an excellent experience with group retreat and the owner of the house.
We spend 2 nights in Martley Hall Estate last week.
Every thing was amazing we were group of 34 people including kids everyone enjoyed a lot. House was amazing with enough space including all the facilities and well equipped. Indoor swimming pool was amazing. Room and toilet were so clean and nice.
Host was helpful and responded quickly.
Group treat staff was friendly and helpful especially Lia arranged every thing and sorted out all the issues.
Overall it was wonderful and peaceful trip .
Once you enter in property you don’t want to come back.
We definitely recommend them for booking.

Excellent house, perfect for big get togethers. House and gardens are all beautifully presented. Maybe a bit of paint amd TLC here and there wouldn't hurt and some new pans for the kitchen would be nice but overall a great couple of days.

The accommodation at Caer Beris was exactly what we needed for a large multigenerational family gathering of 38. The bedrooms were well suited to the mix of young/elderly/family/couples. The manor house had plenty of space for different breakout groups as well as ample space when we all wanted to come together for eating/celebrating. The staff at group retreats were incredibly helpful at all points of the booking/stay. Family already requesting repeat break for next year.

All the guests at my daughter's wedding celebration at Fawley Court were amazed at the serene ambience of the venue. The facilities suited both young and old . Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen and laundry were well equipped. Guests particularly liked the swimming pool and spa as well as the well maintained gardens and courtyard-perfect for photographs. My daughter did the booking from Australia and commented on how efficiently GroupRetreats communicated with her leading up to our stay.

We stayed at Harkstead Hall for a weekend to celebrate a hen do. It was the perfect space for 20 people, the sauna a hot tub were a great touch.

We were welcomed by a lovely hamper and the house was very clean and in great condition with everything we needed.

The facilities are amazing, you cannot get bored here there is so much to do.
Amazing indoor swimming pool and hot tub, stream room and sauna. Games room, tennis and basketball court and even a gym, everything has been thought of. Walks on the grounds are beautiful.
Every bedroom in the main house and outhouses are beautifully decorated and all have en-suites.
The kitchen area is fantastic for cooking and entertaining at the same time along with the music on our whole family got involved which is just what we wanted.
We all had the best time, and used every facility, we even had an early Easter egg hunt for the little ones.
Evenings we spent playing games which there are plenty of at the house and we even lit the open fire.

We were also given a beautiful hamper filled with goodies which was really appreciated.

Every member of my family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and the beautiful Martley Hall.
We would definitely recommend staying here 100% and we will return in the future.

We’ve just had a fabulous stay at Ashfield Place Farm. The house was amazing and catered for all our needs. We had a caretaker available to us in case of any problems and in fact was quickly able to supply us with extra pool cues when asked! Group Retreats have provided comprehensive information leading up to our stay and were helpful and approachable with any queries I had.

Booked Old Lakenham for three nights to celebrate my 60th birthday with 24 friends, and loved every minute, the house exceeding all our expectations. Just 50 minutes from London, it's the perfect party house with a huge kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and breathtaking views. Spent a very memorable afternoon sitting by the pool in the sunshine, followed by a wonderful birthday dinner. The house sits above the stunning Loose valley, with lots of woodland footpaths that, even better, lead directly to a great pub for a Sunday roast, The Albion. Memories of this trip will stay with us forever.

We had a wonderful stay at The Olives, the house is very well equipped, plenty of everything, and very comfortable. The welcome pack of goodies was superb, so generous and much appreciated.
The information from Group Retreats before our stay was very good, useful to have a guest portal to be able to refer to for planning, and we were very pleased to find somewhere that would allow us to stay for 2 nights during the week. We loved our stay.

Really nice cottage ! We were 5 families gathering for the week end and everyone really enjoyed. The house is perfect for larges groups and the host really responsive

Glentworth Hall in Lincolnshire is a great place for the family to get together. There were sixten of us and all of us had en suite rooms. The kitchen is Well equipped for large groups and the dining room is grand. The washing machine broke while we were there and a new one was installed the next day! Impressive service. We brought our little dog and were able to walk very locally to the house. It was a very special week that we will remember for a long time. Very special.

We stayed at Ashfield Place Farm for a birthday weekend with a large family. It was the perfect place for a big celebration, so much space both indoors and outdoors, amazing amount of rooms and places to sit, chat, play games and have fun. The tennis court with provided rackets and balls was great. The kitchen is well equipped and the supplies to light the fires is very useful. Everyone loved the house, it was amazing. Thank you very much.

We had such a wonderful time at Ashfield. Easily accommodated 22 of us, it’s such a big house! Fantastic kitchen, really well equipped and so much space for cooking. Lots of fridge and freezer space too. Loved the hot tub, pool table and tennis courts. Really fantastic choice for a fun filled weekend with friends.

We stayed at The Old Lakenham, in Loose Maidstone for my friends 40th and it was amazing. Beautiful house, very warm & inviting with stunning grounds. Amazing outdoor pool & jacuzzi. 2 outhouses fully equipped with everything you need. Plenty of room for multiple cars. Felt very safe as there are electric gates and surveillance around the outside of the house. Beds were very comfy and towels provided for showers and swimming. The owner was very friendly & even offered to come to the house and helped me get back in after everyone had left as I left a bag there. We are looking to book again over the summer and bring the children as they would absolutely love it. Plenty of games provided for a fun filled break. Would absolutely 100% recommend. Thank

If you like the country farm house vibe you will LOVE this! I booked this for my Dads birthday with all the family and we just had the best time! Group Retreats were very accommodating and helpful before our stay and great with communication. I needed to speak to the contact I was given as we did have a little trouble finding the gates and he got straight back to us.

The house has everything you need! Games, books, pool table, TV, speakers…they’ve thought of everything!

The kitchen was well equipped and we brought lots of bits like cleaning bits and bin bags, tea coffee and sugar but it was all there!

We created the most special family memories this weekend and absolutely love the house! It will be our family get together location moving forward for sure!!
