Poor resolution, poor product

I have a Grundfos pump for my underfloor heating, its about 4 years old and has stopped working. In trying to get a replacement I found the exact one doesn't exist, when asking for help as to what I can replace it with (there are many similar products), I was told I should use an app to find the replacement. When the app couldn't Identify my product I went back for more help and was told if the app cant help me then there is no replacement. The app didn't even identify my product which is not that old. I don't understand why they were too lazy to check.

låg kompetens. Säger att dom bara säljer pumpar o att dom inte kan hjälpa till med dimensionering. Det är dom nog ensamma om i branschen. Dåligt!!!

Avoid UPS3 PUMPS

Avoid UPS3 PUMPS. We are on our third one in five years, running UFH, and a small system at that, this pump should last a decade. We have checked everything for issues and its basically a case of they don't like not being used in summer, each winter they won't start or need help. Very expensive pump and they just don't last. Getting through to Grundfos as a retail customer is pointless although it shouldn't be. AVOID THIS PRODUCT and the company

Hi Jeffrey, I am sorry that you’ve experienced issues with our UPS 3 pump, and I can certainly understand your frustrations on this. I am happy to help and assist where I can.

Our pumps are designed to run continuously, and should the unit be put off during the summer for approximately 4-5 months, this can indeed cause the pump to stick. There are many aspects that can cause the pump to stop working other than the above mentioned. Dirt/sludge in the system can cause this along with not having inhibitors installed or filters.

I am happy to arrange for the pump to be tested should you feel that there is a definite issue with it. If you would like us to do this, then please contact our sales department via grundfos-uk@sales.grundfos.com addressed to Kelly and we can arrange this for you and discuss a replacement.

Scala Pump Leak in new build, no support from Grundfos

We have a Scala pump on our home that Grundfos supplied to the developer, DRES. This model of pump has broken in basically every new home it has been installed in causing leaks and significant damage to the properties.

We knew this was going to be an issue and these pumps were supposed to be replaced. However they have yet to be replaced and recently ours broke, when it broke we informed DRES about it who failed to quickly get us in contact with the Grundfos claims department to sort this out. If the problem had been dealt with straight away the damage would have been minimal. Now we are 28 days later and all of the floors downstairs are going to have to be taken up and there is mold growing under the stairs where the pump leaked.

They still haven't contacted us to tell us when the problem will be sorted and I'm afraid the mold is going to spread throughout the entire ground floor causing even more damage.

Looking at the reviews on this page I'm feeling pretty depressed that this is going to get sorted in a timely fashion. If you have a Scala pump from Grundfos in your house I would be proactive and demand that they replace it. They need to do a recall on every single model they have out there but I suspect they are avoiding doing it due to the significant cost that would be associated. It looks like they are going to let each of them fail and deal with them on a case-by-case basis. The people who end up getting screwed here are the homeowners.

Grundfos if you bother to read this you need to sort out your customer experience, it's awful. The situation we are in is extremely frustrating and there is no reason it couldn't have been quickly resolved. Very disappointed/annoyed

Grundfos Magna3 50-60 and Magna3…

Grundfos Magna3 50-60 F 240 and Magna3 50-150 pump disintegrate impeller wheels.
It is very expensive pumps, but impeller is made from very brittle plastic and there is no help from Grundfos.

Customer service/ trouble shooting help seem non existent. Was not able connect with anyone helpful regarding a three year old recirculating pump the just quit working. Jim

Unseriös bis zum äußersten!!! Man bestellt EINEN Grundfos Mitarbeiter aus seiner Stadt für eine kleine Montage .... und bekommt: 2 unvorbereitete und ohne ausreichend Werkzeug aus einer paar hundert Kilometer entfernten Stadt anreisende SUBUNTERNEHMER !!! denen man noch Werkzeug und Kleinteile aus dem eingenen Fundus heranschaffen muss.... Dafür dann aber wieder die Rechnung von Grundfos mit einem Stundensatz von fast 144 € pro Stunde je Handwerker sowie Anreisekosten von über 560 € !!!
UNGLAUBLICH - Und für Grundfoß im Nachgang in diversen Mails erörtert ist dies ganz normal .... so schlimm sind ja nichtmal die Abzockerfirmen, die gerne mal mit versteckter Kamera in den bekannten TV-Formaten gezeigt werden....da bleibt einem die Spucke weg !!! TRAURIG FÜR SOLCH EIN UNTERNEHMEN !!! Schande ! Aber zum Glück gibt es ja auch andere Hersteller...

Having been in the plumbing & heating…

Having been in the plumbing & heating industry for over 40 years my go too product for circulators has always been Grundfos a brand I would of said in football terms as in the premier league
Recent experiences I’m afraid has relegated them to non league
I fitted a Scala 2 model in my own house as I fitted a new system after about 18 months it leaked causing damage too 2 rooms my supplier sorted a new model and earlier on this week I discovered damage again
The next pump has also leaked this time causing more damage 😡
I spoke to our suppliers they in turn contacted the local rep to try and sort the problem leaving a message and emailing
To date we have had no response I cannot use the hot water because of the problem and to say I am unhappy is an understatement are reps these days only interested in sales and golf days
What has happened to this once great company🙁

Avoid pumps made/sold by Grundfos.

I wish I had read these reviews first.

My Grundfos hot water pump dies at 18 months. And I wrote and called Grundfos and got no response.
The plumber had a new Grundfos available (but expensive and on me). He installed and guess what? It didn’t work and was bad out of the box. I’m so glad I refused payment. The plumber returned the next day and installed a less expensive alternate brand. And it is working fine. Shame on Grundfos for poor service and poor-quality products. Avoid pumps made/sold by Grundfos.

Hvis man skal reklamere overfor den skal hele kværnen sendes retur, helt rengjort.
Dette krav stiller i fordi i ved, ingen kan undvære kværnen og derfor ikke har mulighed for at sende den retur. Så dårlig kunde service skal man godt nok lede længe efter.
Selv om vi via billeder kan dokumentere at en bøjning er flækket, og sender også gerne den ind. Man bliver så selv nødt til at købe en ny bøjningen, bøjningerne kan ikke købes løse, så man skal købe en stor pakke med diverse rep ting, som så bare kan blive smidt ud, skadeligt for miljøet.
Så super dårlig kunde service.

Vi beklager naturligvis mange gange, at du har haft en uhensigtsmæssig oplevelse med kværnpumpen, som vi formoder er en SOLOLIFT2-løftestation.
Grunden til, at vi altid beder om at få pumpen retur, er, at den manuelle undersøgelse, som vi foretager på vores professionelle værksted, specifikt vil afdække, hvad problematikken er.
Som med andre tekniske produkter kan der være flere ting, der spiller ind og dem er vi nødt til at tage i betragtning for at stille en korrekt diagnose af driftsudfordringerne.
Ved at få pumpen hjem og undersøge den nøje, får vi et klar billede om årsagen. Er pumpen dækket af garantien, krediteres den naturligvis.

Grundfos negative 3bar pump bought last…

Grundfos negative 3bar pump bought last year and after 4 months no stop pumping all the time ,they send plumber and replace new one on 08/2022, now 04/2023 same problem ,first time plumber said some sensors for the pressure gone i think same problem agen.I don't know or i can trus grundfos agen ,any recommendations what is best choice?

Grundfos never again

After 26 months my home water pump was broken. No service after 24-month warranty for small pumps. I need to change the whole pump, repair is too expensive! Grundfos, never again!

Beware of the alpha1 15-60 GGES3
When installing underfloor heating this pump was foisted upon us by the contractor. Never got it to work. It is meant to self aerate but there is no way to do so. There are no manuals for this model online. Or any mention of it on the Grundfos website. Apparently this pump was offered when the regular pumps were not produced. Our contractor has tried to get it replaced but only given cold shoulder by Grundfos. Terrible

Grundfos Scala 2 pumps leak

I have had 2 Grundfos Scala 2 pumps and they have both developed leaks in less than one year of use. Grundfos will not respond to my request to replace this pump. These are expensive pumps but they are poorly made.

Noisy UPS3 Pump

I purchased a UPS3 to replace my silent running Commodor which had expired after over 40 years of perfect service. The pump was fitted by a local Engineer recommended by the dealer but has an irritating hum which can be heard around the house. The advice on the Grundfos website is to employ a pump specialist contractor which should not be necessary for the simple replacement of a pump which has been performing satisfactorily for many years,
I am also unable to access the 5 year guarantee because it has to be done with a picture of the installation on a smart phone which I do not possess as an 80 year old pensioner.
I regret my purchase of a Grundfos pump and wish that I had chosen an alternative manufacturer.
