It is a dirty scam and steals money and personal data

Since 2017, I've utilized this platform for hiring purposes, investing significant sums. Despite this history, my attempts to withdraw funds from my Guru Cash account have been fruitless for the past week. The balance in this account doesn't stem from platform earnings but rather from my personal deposits originating from my US bank account. However, they've inexplicably removed my linked US bank account and subsequent attempts to re-add it have been plagued by errors.

Despite reaching out through their live chat and numerous emails, my inquiries have gone unanswered. Instead, I've received automated closure notifications for my support tickets. They're unwilling to reimburse my funds to the original bank account from which they were debited. Despite my patience and persistence, they've consistently ignored my attempts at communication.

I feel compelled to expose their practices and caution others against working with this platform. It's become evident that they neglect their longstanding clients, displaying a blatant disregard for customer care. I possess evidence in the form of emails to support my claims and will make them available as needed. Giving them the lowest possible rating seems appropriate, given their lack of regard for client concerns. This conduct is shameful.

Beware Guru.com. Privacy and repeat billing issues, terrible support that goes in circles.
And there is no law in the US that says they have to collect enough personal identification from you to steal your identity in order for you to make an online purchase. That is a huge red flag.

When we first got here in Thailand we were looking for tailor store and I searched a lot that time. That was in 2022 and luckily found out this tailor store, called Guru. Me and my husband go there multiple times for alteration. The couple is very nice. Khun Chun is very helpful and he gives you what you want. He made our dress and suit for Thai Wedding and we are very happy. I definitely recommend them!

I hope if you are planning to get tickets from them you will read the reviews, I wish I had. I purchased two tickets unfortunately I used My debit card (NEVER DO THAT) not only did they take their money, but they sent a second charge, That I am unable to get them to remove it. Their money went through and the second charge is still held hostage. And you can never reach anyone. So Much For HELP 24/7x365. This was by far the worst Experience ever, And I have to wait for seven Business days to get my money back.

We visited Belfast and Barbara was an excellent guide. She was very imformative and brought the city to life. She also answered lots of questions. My friend and I definitely would recommend her for the tour

This is my 6th time hiring people on Guru to finally realize that not only the site’s customer service is horrible but pro-scammers. The site allows anyone from anywhere to advertise and create a profile stating credentials that GURU DOES NOT CHECK for the safety of its customers who pay top dollar in hopes to get a job done. 6 consecutive supposedly agencies that could not build me a simple website after getting their money. Guru will not bother to refund you anything or guarantee its clienteles from situations of non-delivery, it simply wants to grow by getting its commissions. Worst of the worst is that, no matter how many complaints you give, the scammers is still on the loose and GURU ALLOWS him to advertise and continue on their scamming spree. The feeebacks are ridiculous and all sound the same so does the numbers: you can write a line a week as a review and it will be added to the counts. I have been scammed to the point that I am abandoning the project. Guru will not protect you as a customer by holding the freelancer’s payment until part of the job is done. I will pay him and let you in the fight.

Stay FAR AWAY from this scamming site and from Indian and pakistani job seekers, they are rude and do not live up to their promises!!!!!!!

Got scammed by programmer who did nothing and demanded $30 to cancel job and release money from safepay. Guru did nothing as unless I pay them a $25 arbitration fee they will not even look into it.

I got scammed by a developer on Guru.com which has decent reviews, the guy asked me to pay upfront, being understanding I did, and claimed this could be done in a week, which sounded reasonable cause I could probably finish in a few days, but nothing was done after a few weeks, complained to guru's customer service, they said they couldn't do anything with the first payment, and told me to requested to stop paying for the second, I did as they said, got a confirmed email, in the end, the money still got paid without any notice. They avoid helping me get my money back, I was using their safe pay and lost 1k here, I think this is just overall bad customer service, they don't really care about their customers, just allow scammers to do whatever they want, cause they still make money from it anyway.

Absolutely awful !!!! I even gave this website a second chance after already having a previous bad experience. Nothing has changed, same awful support, and payment problems. The website is the problem, and the people behind it. I will never come back. Calling them fools is stating it mildly !!

I write it here because I don't know where to write this.
I joined Guru as a costumer because I needed some promotion for a ebook I have written.
The book is on Wattpad.
Anyway I wrote a job announcement and many freelancers replied to it.
I hired this freelancer, an indian woman. Her reviews were amazing.

Anyway, her book promotion was supposed to last for twelve weeks. (30$ for week)
I paid this freelancer after the first week of work and I gave her 30$.
And now it starts becoming strange.

At first, this woman, last tuesday, had told me that her paypal was not active because of some limitations of her account. She told me that her new paypal would have been active last friday.
"Okay I will pay you this friday". This is what I replied.
Then (and it's pretty strange) last tuesday, she sent me another email where she asked me to release the payment on her other paypal.
I did it, but it looked pretty strange to me.

In the meantime, the book was gaining a lot of views (I had 900 views before and now I have 1700), but I could not detect the location of the views.
It seemed strange but maybe, who knows, they are people who are not on Wattpad.

Besides, I have to say that I had already found a scammer from Nigeria (on Fiverr) few weeks ago.
To be honest, I keep receiving views and comments from nigerian fake accounts on Wattpad, but I didn't pay this Fiverr guy, because on Fiverr they replied me soon and canceled the order.

Anyway... This woman of Guru assured me that all the views of my book on Wattpad came from Seo and social medias. She also sent me a weekly report which I couldn't understand.

However, the views on Wattpad were increasing, but I still couldn't detect the location of the views.
It was so strange that I decided to take a look at the profile of this freelancer.
I noticed that her profile picture was a little blurry and some feedback were written by the same people.
(i.e. an account yesterday wrote her "She always do great job". The same account on the 7th february wrote her "She always does a great job". Another message of the same account appears on the 6th of january and it says "She always do a great job".
The same thing happens with a lot of accounts that give her reviews.

I don't know if I could trust her, so I wrote an email to this freelancer to call it quits. I used an excuse, because I didn't want to accuse her of scamming me, without any actual proof.

Yesterday I also decided to write a message to the assistance of Guru. No reply.

In the meantime, the freelancer replied my email and she told me "No problem, but I request you to please release pending $30 payment".
Since I am not certain about this person's identity, I don't want to pay her.
I wrote to the assistance of Guru again. No reply, again.

I don't know what to do. But I wanted to write this review, hoping that it could be helpful to other people.

Won't to cash out $450. Kept sending info with no response . Got in touch with Guru send all info to them And they did look after it and got payd .All the time I need a review I use Guru no one is perfect . Thank you Guru
