This company is the worst in its class and they do not care about its own paying customers.
They have refused to help me with a query that I raised with them after signing up 5 days ago.

The only part of their business that works, is the piece that takes your money, and that part works too well, because they will bill you twice in one day, but they will not help you resolve errors their system has.

I am so, frustrated and disappointed I could do backflips.

This site has become a major scam since I last used it as a freelancer some 15 years ago. Recently, I returned to the site to activate my account since I am freelancing again. The process has changed a lot since I was last on the site. I was asked to upload a personal ID, a recent photo of myself, a utitlity bill. Next they asked for a credit card to charge a small fee to verify my account. I verified the small charge of $9.95 and entered it on the form. Then after all that they request request a $4.95 fee to process my verfication. I was annoyed but went along with it.

Then I get an email saying my verfication was rejected due to my photo apparently not being good enough for them and requested I submit another one. Then I get another email saying my Drivers License photo was too old and request I send another one. I was floored! My DL Id in my state didn't expire for another couple of years. After all the BS, I googled search them to see if others have experienced anything like this and low and behold I see these negative reviews. I have sent two support tickets and no response yet.

I have never had to jump these many hoops to find jobs on a freelance website. I am angry by how much time I wasted this morning.

I expect a refund today!

Full of Scammers this is the second time I worked and they were demanding to deposit 300$ fees rate zero this website never trust this platform full of fraud and Scammers

Guru.com totally fake website many people use fake accounts please don't time waste. they send you a fake project when the project is complete they demand 100$ for a premium ID card. and nothing gives any money. it's totally fake and worst.

It’s totally scam I worked continuously 3 days but they didn’t gave me nothing but already demand me you have to deposit $100 then your payment released from the bank etc …. Totally scam nobody waste time on this website and i request you all that everybody report this website

The worst part is Guru.com is aiding and abetting these scum by not allowing feedback after 60 days which given component supply issues etc. is not long enough. After 60 days they automatically give a satisfactory rating, so you cannot give feedback yourself. They should not be allowed to trade. FOR YOUR OWN SAKE DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON GURU.COM

The employer is fake, he gives work and does not send money
I did take a project from (Gracious). then I complete the project and submit, but now he is not sending money.

These people are fraudsters. I joined as a freelancer and to verify my account they asked for my credit card and 10$ was charged to my card. But it did not work and failed then I tried again and failed. Now they took my 20$ I asked the support they replied after 3 days and said my money will be refunded within 5 days. I have still not seen my refund. Bunch of FRAUDS

Racist company, they cancel my payment to freelancer after made my project and send me automatic emails to prove the work and to send the. Conversation outside guru.com, they are spying you and refuse to reply back and collect your details to use them, not a serious company! Avoid them they are racist also they don’t reply as real people only send automatic response.

Extreme scamming website and don't trust in it

I posted a software developer job and every person from Europe was a fake account. Be very careful, there is no review from guru side, and even though the profile has ID verified, this account was fake. Marketplace for scammers...

It's a scam for both, freelancers and project/job posters. For freelancers, they send you fake projects on which you can bid that lead towards nothing and then they send you fake projects that require you to pay membership, projects that would lead towards nothing as they're fake. I can tell as I've worked for a very long time as a freelancer, completed 100s of projects on ScriptLance, RAC (vWorker), etc. Same is on the side of project posters, they ask you to pay membership to reach more freelancers and they initially hide everyone from you, so you can't really reach anyone. It's shadowbanning and scam 101.

I put up an advertisement for a role which they decided to police and refuse to post because they in incorrectly assumed that I was looking for a someone to do school work even though I as very clear that it was for curriculum design. It is also not incorrect to have someone assist in writing papers as long as you follow your institutions guidelines. Which generally means you can have some edit your work but you cannot have someone do your research, findings recommendations etc. They really need to just act like a job site instead of trying to police everyone on areas they know little about. Avoid- if I could give a lower mark and leave a comment I would.

if there would be minus stars they would receive 10 from me. Twice I received a shirt which I ordered medium but was shipped large. I returned it both times and am still waiting for 2 refunds as I was billed twice since June 5th 2022. Totally disgusted.

Where should I start with this money leechers!!! Thos company is worst company I have ever delt with in my 25 years. Decided to find somed developers to outsource some work to save me tons of time. My project has been worked on since October last year and it was supose to be finished December last year. We are now in June my project still not done and I provided all the code for developer he just had to fix it up and customize it to my needs. Every week I get dame update so I decided to stop the project and get my money back. Apparently if you stop project you not allowed to get money back unless developer agrees to this.

You are not allowed to get your cash back unless person you hired agrees so. If that developer who is breaching contract does not agree you get back

Then you have to wait 7 days to see if developer agrees and then you have to wait further 4 days to withdraw cash back to your account. If thats not good enugh you get charged

HANDLING FEE!!! What are this people on?? are this clows handling exactly did they fly to PayPal HQ and deposit money in person? This dee should be called stealing Fee not handling Fee!!!

Dont get me wrong I did find 1 legit developer who I deal with outside guru and he does work based on task and I Pay him money but 99% of socalled developers are fake or do not have skill set to do actual work.

I received an invoice for $157, I paid it and incurred $40 of 'transaction fees'. I then received a 'revised' invoice for $162, leaving a $5 balance, for no reason whatsoever (i have sent 13 messages to try and understand why).

I have been asked to incur $40 of transaction fees to pay $5, that should never have been invoiced to me in the first place.

Complete scam - DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!
