Requested blond hair colour and finished brown
My daughter had a hair appointment with Thea and she told her exactly what she wanted, even showing her a photo. Basically wanted blond and has now brown hair. She’s not prepared to come to some arrangement to rectify her mistake without further payment. My daughter and I have been trying to sort this mess out but we’ve both been blocked from her Facebook profile and Messenger now. This is so unprofessional and we would not recommend her.

I’m sorry you and your daughter feel this way, however I do feel this review is very unfair and does not accurately reflect the service provided.
A full in-depth consultation and skin test appointment took place prior to the service, where we discussed your daughter’s inspiration photos, hair history, current condition, realistic expectations and the fact that achieving her end goal safely would likely take more than one session due to previous colour and damage already present in the hair.
Your daughter specifically requested cooler ashier blonde tones, which is exactly what was carried out during the appointment. The finished result was professionally completed over a 5 hour appointment using a full head of highlights and toner whilst carefully protecting the integrity of the hair. At no point was her hair left “brown”, and I have photographic evidence of the finished result. If Trustpilot allowed businesses to upload photos in replies, I would happily upload the result myself so readers could see the actual colour achieved.
During the consultation and prior to starting the service, a root tap was specifically discussed and agreed upon. This was something your daughter asked for in order to achieve a softer result with a better grow out. It was only after the appointment that concerns were raised claiming this had not been requested, despite it being clearly discussed and agreed to beforehand.
It was also evident from the photos close up of her roots/scalp provided afterwards when claiming she had brown hair (photos zoomed in so much that they weren’t showing the full head of blonde highlights) that what could be seen was scalp staining from the root tap rather than the hair being “brown”. This is completely normal when having a root tap, as tint can stain the scalp, but this washes off after being washed. This does not mean the hair itself was brown.
Although I appreciate that your daughter didn’t personally like the end result on herself, the colour provided was not done incorrectly and a refund will not be issued simply because she later changed her mind on the overall look. Dissatisfaction with tone preference, despite asking for that tone, is very different from a service being carried out incorrectly. I did offer further appointments to adjust the toner if desired, however this would have been chargeable as the original service itself was completed correctly and professionally.
I also feel it is worth pointing out that throughout this situation I was not only dealing with my adult client directly, but also repeated involvement and messages from yourself, her mother, across multiple platforms after communication had already been ended. At that stage, I chose to stop responding further as the messages from you both had simply become repetitive and harassing.
Thankfully this situation is not reflective of the experience all my clients have had with me and my work over the last 10 years.
