A £519 boiling tap not working after 1.5year
We purchased a Hanstrom 3-in-1 Flex Touch Instant Boiling Water Tap from verana.com at £519.99 on 12/07/2023. It has stopped functioning since early jan 2025. We emailed customer service and was told that since its out of its 1year warranty period, there’s nothing they could do and advised us to purchase another one. This is totally unacceptable as the failure has occurred well within a reasonable time frame for a product of this nature.
As a consumer, I am entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for a product that fails to meet reasonable expectations of quality and performance. However, this company fails to provide any of the above. Please avoid at all cost if you do not want your hard earned money wasted.

Heating unit faulty after 14 months of use
I purchased the 3 in 1 boiling water tap about 17 months ago. Due to some issues with fitting the new kitchen we couldn't get anyone in to install it until September 2023. It worked fine for until November 2024. Then it just stopped working one day. Everything still displays as it should but there is absolutely no heating. I contacted customer services who recommended flushing it with descaler. I tried this a couple times with no luck. I then responded to customer services and was told that due to it being out of Warranty the only course of action is to buy a new heating unit for a 'discounted' rate of £120.
So not only do they not offer a repair or spare parts but it will cost over £100 to replace a unit that is barely over a year old. So unless you feel like spending £120 every year and half to replace your heating unit plus £50 on filters every 3-6 months I would recommend avoiding this at all costs. The only positive is the tap itself looks nice but I could have got the same tap for a fraction of the cost without the heating unit and saved myself some trouble and money.
Poor customer service
I bought a tap from Hanstrom in October. It has an E3 error code. They do not answer the phone or reply to emails. Hanstrom please help me. Thank you

Hanstrom Ume 3 in 1 Tap
I purchased the Hanstrom Ume 3 in 1 tap. Great design and easy to install. The small handle to the boiling tap is also a great feature for us as we have small children so stops them pulling the boiling tap. The delivery was swift and communication was great from start to finish. Would highly recommend the tap and company for any future purchase.
Kettle failed after 6 months, then again 9 months later
Kettle failed after after 6 months use. They sent a replacement, which has failed 9 months later. Have asked for a replacement, even though out of warranty, but have little faith that the product is fit for purpose. Buy cheap, pay twice: a lesson learnt. I say cheap, it's £600 for a nice looking tap with a glorified kettle attached, so hardly a bargain for what it is, albeit cheap compared to top brands.

I’ve had my 3-1 instant boiling water tap around 12 months. It has only been installed about 3 months due to a big renovation taking longer than expected. So far the tap has been brilliant. Customer service was great at replying to any questions I had

Had the tap now for just over a year and it's great! Well made, good value for money and we've used it daily. We'd not go back to a kettle now as the tap is far more convenient.
Seemingly great product, until the boiler decided…
Great product until the boiler decided to stop functioning after 11 months. This coincided with replacement of 2nd filter at the correct time. No limescale, light usage for teas only and the thing just stopped hearing water. Flushed system down and tried to reset but no joy. A shame as their reputation is now burnt and can’t be trusted with no replacement possible after the annual warranty period. Angry doesn’t come close
The tap is great
The tap is great, easy to fit and at a great price. Good colour choices and also the ability to get filtered water a treat, so no need of separate filter tap. Would recommend.

Purchased the 4 in 1 tap and so far it seems to be great value compared to other more expensive taps such as Quooker. The design is great and works well. Customer services were very helpful despite previous comments here with advising on installation. Thanks👍

The tap is malfunctioning and seems to be of poor quality. I've reached out to customer service and provided a video, but their responses have been disorganized and unhelpful. They are refusing to process a return. I'm planning to consult a solicitor to resolve this issue.

Unfortunately we are also in the 18 month group! Only use for cups of Tea and in the softest water area part of UK! Have just spent another £100 on a new boiler part. Customer service is pleasant but Customer service doesn't boil my water for a cup of tea! It seems it's a poor product that does not last and I wish I had just spent the money on a Quooker. If this one goes in 18 months then the whole thing is getting binned.

Had the tap less than 18 months and the boiler has stopped working. We have changed the filter as per instructions. Not durable and in my opinion it is reasonable to expect the boiler to work for longer than less than 18 months. Only two in the household, don’t use tap for washing up purely drinks and for coffee we use a coffee machine.
Beware of the shelf life of the product
I purchased a hot water tap in around August 2023 and installed it in a new kitchen in October of the same year., changing the filter every six months per the instructions. We are a relatively light usage family being only two people. I used it one morning in October 2024 and found the water was cold and the tank was no longer heating. I contacted the supplier and Hanstrom who recommended I descale the tank. I followed this advice but no scale build up had occurred and it seemed that after a year of use the tank was faulty, and unfortunately was a couple of months beyond the warranty. Initially Hanstrom suggested they were a small company and wanted to make something work for me and pointed me at a help email address but the response from said email was simply that I was out of warranty but did I want to buy a new tank. When I responded that I had reservations about buying a new tank that might only last a year they said I could “Rest assured, we have since had a new range of boilers come in with no known issues.” which did little to make me feel better about the fault mine had developed. A great product when it works but beware of how long it will work for.

The instant hot water tap worked perfectly for 13 months but I forgot to change the filter in that time and now it apparently needs descaling. Unfortunately it is out of warranty so customer services has given me easy to follow instructions to remedy this.
