Wonderful experience

Tried three times to do a virtual visit (Harrington housing sherbourne and Harrington housing Pembrooke in Toronto). One was cancelled and for two times nobody called on whatsapp. Are they for real? Looks like they are scam.

So I moved to DC in quite a rush, but still everything seemingly under control. When I went to meet "Ray" just some bum who gave me a tour, he no showed for the first meeting and took hours to return communication. The tour was alright but they showed the cleanest unit. I planned to move in the next day, as they said I could at 4. I didn't end up moving until closer to 7 because of their incompetence with being responsible. The room was dirty and dusty as walking down a dirt road, The accordian style door was chipped up and broken off the hinges and track, and they left countless other broken items around the room.

They are entirely unresponsive when it comes to fixing these issues as well. I put in a request well over a month ago and these dipsh*ts said they'll get to it at their "earliest convenience"

To add insult, there are mice in the building and they were also unresponsive to this issue. As well as the "rats" that stole from the horrid excuse of a package room a few weeks ago. (The mail system here is horrible, don't order packages.)

If I get to see this "Ray" character again, I'm gonna rip into him and this pathetic operation. I will never again sign with harrington housing and am activley looking for anywhere else to live lol.
DONT SIGN HERE if you have any sort of standards.

This place is a total dump. Here were just a few of the problems:
- no WiFi 60% of the time;
- no locks on bedrooms or bathroom door;
- the absolute cheapest IKEA furniture, kitchen supplies & equipment (dishes, vacuum, broom...etc) AKA "junk"
- major leak in ceiling bathroom with water running down wall into the tub - reported 3 x's...no response/no fix
- no mater how many times you send messages, they never communicate back to you.
- they don't appear to have anyone local who can help you out.
For foreign students...be aware...this is a money grab and the area is not safe. There is much better accommodation in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I rented a room with Harrington Housing in Oct 2023. To be honest I was pretty scared in the beginning because of all the housing scams happening in Canada. But my experience ever since has been great with these guys. They are extremely professional and polite and sincerely deal with your complaints or requests in timely manner. I would like to recommend them to anyone looking for a nice furnished room or apartment in Toronto or anywhere. Because I am with them for almost five months and I can vouch for them.

Amis français et étrangers cherchant un logement, fuyez !! Je suis locataire à Halifax, le logement à strictement rien à voir avec les photos, j'ai loué une chambre dans un appartement avec deux "chambres" à la base, sauf qu'en réalité c'est une vraie chambre dans l'appartement et l'autre "chambre" est dans le salon avec des cloisons en papier qui ne vont même pas jusqu'au plafond. Sauf que arrivé sur place on me dit que la chambre que j'ai loué n'est pas disponible pour le moment, et donc j'ai été déplacé dans une autre chambre mais dans un appartement avec 4 chambres dont deux qui sont en réalité dans le salon séparés encore par des murs en papier. Cela fait un mois que je suis dans cette galère, juste une horreur, c'est minuscule, pas plus grand que 3m sur 3m, très très loin de ce qu'on voit sur les photos. Les communs sont sales, en très mauvais état et biensur je paie ça une fortune... En bref la pire expérience de ma vie en terme de logement, c'est un scam et les managers nous font tourner en bourriques en boucle en disant qu'on va changer de chambre mais c'est faux je ne change pas.
J'aimerai pouvoir fuir et partir ailleurs mais bien-évidemment si je veux couper le contrat ils ne veulent pas me rembourser le mois que j'ai payé en avance et également ne pas me rembourser ma caution.
Bref fuyez absolument, l'entreprise devrait être saisi par la justice parce que c'est une honte !

Very responsive communication

I was in the process of looking for a place to live and I stumbled upon Harrington Housing on Facebook Marketplace. They had used photos and videos of a completely different unit that was unlisted, as well as gave a fake price point that was not listed on their website. When I went to partake in my virtual tour, my contact (who had messaged me 30 minutes prior) completely ghosted me and would not answer my calls or my messages. The rooms they had listed are also questionable. In their cheapest option, the room had no window (which I'm not exactly sure is legal, but I'm no housing inspector) and barn doors that are unable to lock. What's that for privacy and safety? I'm glad I dodged a bullet before signing a lease, but beware!

Harrington housing is the best thing that ever happened to real estate. They are very efficient and their rooms are very cozy and clean.

I would not recommend Harrington Housing at all.
I have been renting in Washington DC since the beginning of January.
When I moved in, I noticed that I had no hot water. I immediately informed Harrington. Despite repeated reminders, almost daily, the problem was solved more than a month later. So I spent my first month with only cold water. This is not at all the standard Harrington claims.
In addition, Harrington offers rooms that are very poorly insulated from noise and cold, which is not specified.

If you go to MTL harringtonhousing will be your warm home. kind team and nice rooms. This is what I want. We hope to see again.
