Communication is appalling.
Have tried emailing, phoning , whats app and not once did you answer. My wife has been hospitalised today and I needed to get in contact with you regarding our booking. I'm actually now thinking haunted house events are a scam and just take your money. We was looking so forward to this experience tonight and actually saw a few places on your website where we wanted to vist in the future but unfortunately due to the lack of communication I won't bother.

We understand you reached out to us on the same day as your scheduled event, which unfortunately was a day our office is advertised to be closed. Our booking terms and conditions are in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all our guests, and we strive to communicate these clearly at the time of BOOKING, also sent on Monday prior to attendance in your event entry details.
Accommodating a last-minute change in this instance would have required us to cover 100% of the associated costs, which isn’t sustainable for our business. While we do our best to assist whenever possible, certain limitations prevent us from fulfilling every request outside of the agreed terms.

The night was very active at times, with cat balls, rempod and bell being activated. We used the Ouija board and communicated with one of the former workers who seemed to be very much a ladies man! Communication was also made through headphones with another worker who had a nasty experience in the furnace! 👻Thank you spirits for an entertaining night....

30 East Drive 22/23 Nov
Just finished a night at 30 east drive. Hosts Jess and Laura were brilliant. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They were honest, fun, but also allowed us to be serious, have our time and were always checking on us during the night. I think because of them alone I couldn’t recommend the company more! Unfortunately we didn’t get a lot of activity, a few knocks, touches and words in the spirit box through the headphones.. but not the scary intense night we had hoped!! But we will of course go again, and hope to have the girls as our hosts again!! Thank you for being so attentive and friendly 💕

Smithills hall
My husband and I went on our first ghost hunt last night at smithills hall and it was an absolutely amazing experience, the guides were all friendly, the experience as a whole was just mind blowing we definitely felt something and saw things, I got home and looked through my photos and I’ve caught a few strange things and I picked up a voice on one of my videos. I would 100 per cent recommend this I will most definitely be booking again. On behalf of Sam and Emma thank you to everyone in our group and to the haunted houses team and thank you for a great night.

Great night at Armley Mills
My daughter in law Hayleigh and myself had a fabulous night at Armley Mills last Saturday October 19th. Kate and Simon were amazing. We had some great experiences and enjoyed getting to use the equipment. This was our first event and we really want to do another one in the New Year , hopefully East Drive. We would love to explore again with Kate, so fingers crossed she is on the date we eventually book for East Drive.
Thanks to all the crew and all the ladies that were in our group for making it an experience to remember.

Second time booking with Haunted Houses Events and I can honestly say I will be definitely be booking again.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming there was never a dull moment.
We were teamed up with Claire and Ethan in our group and they really helped us enjoy our visit.

30 East Drive…. Wow!
We visited 30 East Drive last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We have been in paranormal investigations with Haunted Houses before and they are such a great team. We are not naive to think a ghost hunt is like a Hollywood movie, and we are very aware that some nights you may get nothing, as paranormal activity is never guaranteed…. However East Drive did not disappoint, and even though we were a small group, the energy worked. My bucket list haunted location ticked and I will definitely be going back! Loved it. And the hosts made it such a comfortable and enjoyable night.

Not worth the money
We attended the event at Woodchester Mansion on Sat 14 September. We understand there were some logistical issues on the day and perhaps it would have been better if the event had been cancelled as the result was a rather poorly managed and amateurish event. The leaders did not engage and manage the group effectively, we were not provided with a schedule and it all appeared a bit shambolic. The hot water ran out very quickly so there were no hot drinks available for much of the 6 hour event. No information or history of the building was given and the leaders did not appear to know anything about it even when asked. There was very little activity which obviously cannot be guaranteed but where a particular room clearly had nothing happening there could have been flexibility to move to another location in the building. The attempts to contact the spirits were a bit childish and patronising and trying to hold two ouija board sessions on the same table in the same room at the same time just seems crazy. Overall we did not feel this was a professionally run event and not really worth the price paid.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. It’s disheartening to learn that, despite our best efforts, we did not provide the event you had hoped for. Each and every team member who attended the event was dedicated to delivering the best experience possible, and receiving a one-star review is particularly painful given the effort we put into each event.
We understand that the day had its challenges and regret that you felt the event was not managed to your satisfaction. We would have greatly valued the opportunity to address any concerns you had before they were publicly reviewed. An opportunity to resolve issues directly with you would have been extremely appreciated, and we regret that we were not afforded this chance.
To clarify a few points raised in your review:
1. Ghost Hunts vs. Historical Tours: Our ghost hunts focus primarily on paranormal experiences and interactions rather than providing any historical information about the location. This is actually communicated prior to arrival via your event details. Many companies in our field believe that extensive historical details can detract from the immersive nature of the ghost hunt. Our aim is to create an environment where guests can connect with the paranormal without the distraction of historical narratives. This means our events may not be suited for those with an outlook to be educated on a buildings history, but perfect for those who want to investigate paranormal activity in a way that does not include "priming".
2. Organisation and Rotations: We apologise if the event appeared disorganised. The rotation of groups through different areas is a structured approach we use to ensure every participant has the opportunity to explore each part of the venue within the timeframe of the event. If an area seems inactive, our approach is to build energy rather than quickly moving on, as this can sometimes lead to stronger experiences. We also adhere to a set schedule to prevent contamination between groups.
3. Hot Drinks: We understand that the lack of hot drinks was disappointing. We offer complimentary hot and cold drinks at our events, and we are addressing the issue with the hot water supply to ensure it does not happen again.
4. Ouija Boards: The use of two Ouija boards at the same time on the same table is not an approved method in our investigations. We will take this up with the hosting team to ensure this does not happen in the future.
5. Commitment to Quality: We are proud of our high return customer rate and the positive experiences we consistently provide across over 300 ghost hunts annually. We apologise if this particular event did not reflect our usual standards and made you feel that you did not catch us at our best.
We appreciate your feedback and assure you that we are constantly working to improve our events. We hope this explanation helps clarify our approach, and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further if you have any additional concerns.

Incredible experience, incredible team!
Myself and my partner did the Dudley Castle ghost hunt on the 16th August and we were so shocked at how above and beyond the staff at Haunted Houses went to ensure we were comfortable and understood everything through the night, from using the equipment to what we had experienced. We had a good amount of activity and our tour guide Kai allowed us to use any equipment we wanted regardless of any activity and supported our group the entire time. The whole night was an incredible experience and we are so grateful to the team for making this happen! We cannot wait for the next investigation!

A great experience
Just got back from my first Haunted Houses event, we were at Ashwell Prison in Oakham.
We had a brilliant time, the hosts were all really friendly and put us at our ease. It was great being able to try out the equipment, and they were very understanding if anyone didn't want to use the ouija board.
I'll definitely book on to another event.
