Booked 30 East Drive for my son's late 18th birthday gift and what a night! We had some amazing activity with rem pods, cat balls and k2s all going off simultaneously, it was amazing and very hard to debunk. Dan and Craig we're brilliant host's

Never agin !!!
Tonight we have done Pen-y-lan hall this was our first time with haunted house and will definitely be our last. We had traveled along way to this event.
The staff we had running our group spent all there time making the lighter and more explained noises ( noise pollution from another group ) a big omg god did you hear that …. Omg what was that which became rather tedious and repetitive to the point of wanting to leave the even but the cherry on the cake was the other guess in our group who constantly drip feed information of what and who is there through out the night harmless at first but then openly seeing her fake evidence by knocking / shaking the table while the runners made a big deal of it and “how much more evidence do we need” then to find out the woman who was faking it was a ex member of team just really left us feeling like we had come to watch a really poor haunted show not to participate it a actual ghost investigation.
I am so disappointed and angry with this experience and would never book or recommend

We’re disappointed by this review, especially as the guest remained fully engaged throughout the night, participated in every vigil, and never showed any signs of not enjoying the event. No concerns were raised with our team at any time, and the party remained until the end.
The individual accused of faking activity was a paying guest. While she mentioned working with us over 5 years ago, she has had no involvement since. Her past connection was shared openly — a detail that would never be disclosed if any form of deception were intended. Her conduct raised no concern, and no manipulation was observed. Resorting to finger-pointing as a means of dismissing possible activity is both unfair and unfounded.
We’ve been delivering professional investigations for 11 years, hosting over 300 events annually and welcoming more than 50,000 guests. We know Pen-y-Lan Hall well, having investigated it for over a decade. While noise transfer is possible in some parts of the venue, the knocks heard were intelligent and responsive — not random bumps. The Estes Method also produced highly relevant, guest-led responses, which came directly through the reviewer’s own party. These moments were never questioned on the night — and instead contributed to what felt like a potentially very active investigation.
We promote debunking, as reflected in many of our reviews, but we also recognise when genuine points of interest arise. Our team responded with passion and excitement — as they should. The level of activity on this occasion was exceptional and became a talking point across the weekend — something that rarely happens once an event concludes. That alone should speak volumes.
The reviewer’s group identified themselves as amateur investigators — a detail worth noting. In the paranormal field, especially online, support is often lacking from group-to-group, and event teams frequently become the target of criticism rather than collaboration.
This reply is not directed at the reviewer, but for the benefit of our future valued guests. We have a very high guest return rate — many of whom would strongly disagree with the way our business has been portrayed here. This gentleman won’t be returning. We’re very comfortable with that.

I’ve been on 4 different ghost hunts, 3 with haunted houses events and have another booked! Every time we’ve been, we have had an amazing night! Even if there’s not much activity going on, the night flies! The hosts are fantastic at keeping the group engaged and learning new techniques! I have learned so much and every host we have had, has been such good company through the night! Can’t recommend these enough

Fantastic events company
Something I love about using Haunted Houses is that there is no rigid structure to the vigils. There is lots of equipment to use throughout the night and the hosts work with the guests and go with the guests intuition and what they wish to do. It’s a great experience and the hosts are knowledgable about what they do. I wouldn’t choose another company.

No other ghost hunting company compares
I have used Haunted Houses Events a few times, and they’re truly the best! The team is friendly, genuine, and completely committed. We’ve been to Ryecroft Hall twice and the Galleries of Justice, and both locations/investigations were fantastic.
I’ve even recommended them to friends and family, who were just as impressed on their own investigations.
Can’t fault a thing!

Friendly, knowledgeable and fun
Great environment, the hosts are so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. If you’re a novice they guide you through it all and support you. Equally if you’ve done many events and wish do experiments on your own they will do their best to facilitate this. I’ve been on many events with Haunted Houses with my mom or partner and they’ve always been great. Even if there’s little activity (which they are honest about) I used other companies in the past but the first time I booked with Haunted Houses I never booked with anyone else.

We went on an event held at Matlock…
We went on an event held at Matlock Pavillion on the 18th of April. For most of the group, this was their first experience with ghost hunts. All of the staff members present were excellent with comprehensive explanations of equipment and a great knowledge of the venue and activity present there. We would especially like to highlight Ben who was with our group most of the evening and was incredible through the different investigations and vigils we participated in. We most enjoyed the evening when we broke down into smaller groups, as we found that everything was much more active with less people present. The types of equipment available to borrow was amazing, and very exciting to get hands on experience with. Overall, it was an excellent evening and we cannot wait to book with this company again in the future.

My wife bought me this for a Christmas…
My wife bought me this for a Christmas gift and what a great gift it was. We went to 30 East Drive Pontefact and having never done anything like it before I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was an extremely good experience. Dan and Craig the organisers were great and made the night very enjoyable. We got to use their equipment and did get some very interesting experiences and contact, particularly when my wife was in a room on her own and her hair was touched. Overall if you do go ghost hunting get involved and keep an open mind and you’ll enjoy the adventure. Thanks Dan & Craig we’ll definitely book another one in the future.

Fort Widley
A fabulous Christmas present - my friend and I had a great evening at Fort Widley last night. Some interesting interactions, a crazy ouija board, lots of bell activity and even the music box didn’t disappoint. The spirits didn’t like Sonia 😂. Fab night ghost hunting at Newsham Park…
Was a fab night at Newsham Park Hospital, Laura, Kai and Tanya were fab and had brilliant energy. Our group managed to capture movement on the Weegee board in the attic. I got some interesting photos of a little wisp. Lots of different techniques to use for the ghosts hut and got some interesting answers on the EMF reader at the bottom of a staircase. Our group had a fab time, first ever ghost hunt was brilliant. Highly recommend great venue too.

I've been to a few events with haunted…
I've been to a few events with haunted houses now and every single time the events are great and get better each time. I go on my own and there still all welcoming and fun and can also have a laugh with them too. I've recommended and recommend them to anyone that wants to go on a ghost hunt. They make it easy to understand aswell as letting you try your own things too for your own experiences.
