Our home for 3 weeks.

We are booked in at Haven Seaview for the third time this year. The staff here are always friendly & helpful. That goes for easy online booking to meeting the team. A special thanks to Fiona on reception to arranging 3 weeks in the same caravan even though it was 2 separate bookings. Also Amanda who always ensures the caravans are comfortable & spotless we stay in. Then the check in staff as we enter the park always have a smile & direct us to our holiday home. We have family in Weymouth so Seaview is ideal for our visits. Thank you, Mal & Mick 😀

tried to extend our holiday by one day at Burnham on Sea only to be told it is not possible by the receptionist, as we only accept either 7 days 4 days or 3 days yet their booking app states " if you only wish to extend your stay by a day or two, you can do this within 7 days of arrival by speaking directly to your park team" our holiday starts 22nd September, for 4 days, we wished to arrive one day early on the 21st, but it does not seem possible despite our chosen van not being booked, so i think the wording in the app is misleading as it appears you cannot do as it states, or the staff need bringing up to date of booking procedures, I also emailed customer support and after 3 days still have not had a reply,

Bed bugs Marton Mere

Holiday went really great for my elderly mam and 18 month old grandson. Last night (our last night) sitting on a sofa bed that I hadn’t used all week! I have been bitten several times across my body! I emailed the support team and sent photos through. Today I have emailed customer support. Very quick responses. Apparently the sofa has been sprayed and checked under a UV light. Maybe it could be bites from the surrounding outdoor area! This was after 8pm at night, with torrential rain! An 18 month old baby and my elderly mam. So no, the doors were not open! No we weren’t outside in the torrential weather! I have taken medical advice and it’s bed bug bites! How horrendous to hear this from a nurse! We stayed in a Gold (yes a gold) 10 Lake Mere View. This has now been put in the hands of the council, trading standards! Apparently it’s a common occurrence in both Havens in Blackpool!

I have been to many of thier bad…

I have been to many of thier bad holiday parks,If you like dirty dump carvans, poor entertainm, lots of cheap plastic in there arcade. Over price beer and food this place will be perfect for you, I am surprised there still in bussniee with all the bad reviews on here, There parks are very boring would not recommend wasteing your hard eared money on them.

We're at greenacres in porthmadog and…

We're at greenacres in porthmadog and booked on to some activities costing £130 but we were very disappointed in the fact that the pottery creations and plant pot art were only 1 hour long with no flexibility to go over the time, which meant that all 4 items , 2 at the plant pot art and 2 at the pottery painting were unfinished and we were told we needed to leave as the session had finished. My children both are autistic, none verbal and have learning disabilities and this has left them extremely distraught and upset as they were not able to finish their lovely works of art.
These sessions should be at least an hour and a half , with flexibility to be able to finish what they have paid for instead of being constantly rushed all the way through, causing huge anxiety.

Awful booking experience

Trying to book a holiday for 3 caravans for next July 2026 - awful booking process. Price jumped halfway through the booking. Tried to speak to chat about it who doesnt understand and unable to speak to a human about it so going elsewhere. Awful customer experience.

Disappointed ☹️

Having just returned from a week at Rockley Park we wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. Compared to other Haven sites this was the dirtiest and so many caravans have been packed in that the facilities are not adequate for the numbers of people on site. We reported a broken kitchen blind but never saw anyone to repair this all week. The weather was not the best but no one can control that. Altogether a very disappointing week away.

Dear Customer Relations Team,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at Haven Rockley Holiday Park, Dorset, which was extremely distressing for my family and me. We expected a relaxing family holiday but were instead subjected to an unacceptable experience that ultimately forced us to cut our stay short.

The holiday home allocated to us was in an appalling state on arrival. Specific issues included:
• Stains on the beds and carpets
• No curtains in the property
• Cobwebs throughout the rooms
• A filthy, broken fridge left in the middle of the room, which smelled terrible
• Unsafe furniture with nails and screws sticking out, creating a dangerous environment for my three young children (two of whom are on the autism spectrum)

This accommodation was clearly unfit for purpose and hazardous.

I reported these issues immediately on the first day. By the third day, nothing had been resolved. When I raised my concerns again, I was astonished and insulted to be told by Simon Bailey, one of the senior managers at the park, that the reason no action had been taken was because I told staff not to clean the holiday home until further notice. This is categorically untrue. Why would I complain about the state of the accommodation if I did not want action taken? This response was dishonest, dismissive, and added further distress to an already unacceptable situation.

My wife was extremely upset, and given the unsafe and unsuitable conditions, we had no choice but to leave early. What should have been a family holiday turned into stress, frustration, and disappointment.

I am requesting the following:
1. A full investigation into the way this complaint was handled, including the conduct of Simon Bailey.
2. A formal apology for the unacceptable accommodation and treatment we received.
3. Appropriate compensation for the ruined holiday and the distress caused to my family.
4. Full refund issued

Mixed Experience – Some Great Views, But Cleanliness & Maintenance Let It Down

We stayed at Reighton Sands Holiday Park for 7 nights and opted to pay extra for a Gold Signature caravan, drawn in by the added perks and enhanced comfort. In some ways, the upgrade was worth it – the layout of the caravan was ideal, with doors opening onto a terrace that offered stunning views of the cliffs. It was a lovely spot to relax with a morning brew.

However, the cleanliness of the caravan was disappointing. The carpets were stained and clearly hadn’t been hoovered before our arrival. There was a hoover in the cupboard, but when I tried to use it, it began overheating and smelled like something was burning. I reported this to reception and was told not to use it, as it belonged to the owner – a cleaner was sent out and did a great job, but it did raise the question: why not supply a working hoover for guest use, especially for longer stays?

We also found a pair of trousers left on a shelf, cobwebs in the bathroom, and a red stain on the bathroom wall – all of which made us question how thoroughly the caravan had been cleaned.

Some promised amenities were also missing. There was no hairdryer in the caravan, and the public ones near the swimming pool were out of order throughout our stay. The kitchen was functional, but supplying non-stick ovenware would make cleaning up after meals much easier.

On arrival, we were told by a staff member that we couldn’t park by the van and would need to walk from a side road. This turned out to be incorrect – the van had a clearly marked parking space. Not a huge issue, but it set the tone for some confusing communication.

The train to the beach, which is a fantastic idea, was sadly out of order all week. A 5-seater vehicle was being used instead, but this wasn’t really sufficient for the number of guests, especially during busy times.

The restaurant and play area were in poor condition and clearly in need of more regular cleaning. Bins were overflowing, the floor was pitted and grubby, and the park area looked tired and dirty – not ideal given this is the main communal space for families. The sports area had TVs for football, but one is awkwardly placed right in the main walkway to the toilets – not great when trying to enjoy a match.

The swimming pool was a decent size with plenty of lifeguards, which was reassuring. However, the changing rooms were consistently dirty, with hairs and grime on the floors. Despite multiple visits, I only saw one cleaner across four trips – clearly not enough to keep up with the traffic.



Overall Thoughts:

While we enjoyed aspects of our stay – particularly the caravan layout and views – the lack of cleanliness, missing amenities, and maintenance issues made it hard to justify the price we paid. With more attention to detail and better upkeep of communal areas and accommodation, this park could offer a much better experience.

Stayed at Haven Porthmadog this is rhe…

Stayed at Haven Porthmadog this is the best Haven site. Touring pitch right next to entertainment.
Mash and Barrel staff were brilliant nothing was roo much trouble .
Entertainment staff were brilliant . The best show we have seen was Alice in wonderland absolutely amazing well worth watching .
Will definitely be back k there next year.
Only downside was they did not have rhe noodle bar which other sites have.

Although the caravan was lovely,the…

Although the caravan was lovely,the fact that any activity for the kids (apart from a 1 hour swim session/day) was at a high cost meant that you needed a second mortgage to keep the kids entertained. I searched 'free to do at haven mablethorpe'. What came up was:
1)a walk to the beach
2)enjoy a walk around the grounds
OK then.
C'mon kids ,let's walk around the grounds. Nvm it's raining..
Would NEVER bother again to come here when I could spend the equivalent on a sunshine holiday abroad.

I would like to give Haven a review not…

I would like to give Haven a review not because I want to cause problems for them but they need to hear what I have to say. I just returned home today from a Haven site in Hayle Cornwall and what a beautiful location. The caravan site was relatively clean and good but these things really annoyed me, having to book an hour slot at the pool, this holiday cost £1400.00 for a week you have got to be joking what a let down. My grandson hit his head on the childrens park and cut the top of his head because there was a dangerous piece of wood across the top of stairs to the slide that the yellow tape had been removed (paint it yellow or remove it) I should sue you for having a dangerous children's play area.
Mould on ceiling in the bathroom.
No internet unless you were sat in the club and to top that I could not get a signal on my phone ( really poor Haven)
Overcharging prices for everything on site, 3 drinks £23.00 a packet of Watsits £1.80
Do not take it for granted that you can rip people off especially when it's directed at children £16.00 for an hour on a family cycle.
The bed must have had a issue as it sagged in the middle so both my wife and I had painful backs.
Then to top it all because of the lack of sleep we were getting I left my rechargeable fan there by mistake so we called Haven and they told us if we wanted it we would to send a courier. It would probably cost £6.00 by Royal mail but a courier would be more than the fan cost again trying to rip us off. I want my fan back Haven or compensate me for the rubbish holiday I just had.

Bad experience

Wrost services on the day of check-in they said it’s a water issue and we are closing the caravan I mean if it’s a water issue and you know since morning why don’t you send an email or call before. We travel from London to wales to celebrate our sons 10th birthday all are guest booked for 3 days holidays there and at the end we just had to take hotels on service station. The phone call we received at 4 in the evening when we about to reached there not to come to caravans. Management should need to paying attention on that and even we don’t get our refunds yet. It’s sooo pathetic please don’t book your holidays

Our caravan was opposite a whole row of caravans with people who had dogs, despite us not wanting a pet friendly caravan. It was so loud all the time as yapping g dogs were left to it and even though we complained, they did nothing about it! We paid for a gold caravan, there were stains everywhere, it was dirty. The beds were meant to be clean on arrival and they put crusty food stained sheets on so we had to ask for those to be changed (we had to change them ourselves)
There was green mould all over the outside of the caravan and bird poo all over the seats outside...it was old and dry so it wasn't done after the "cleaners" had been in. The patio doors had loads of hand prints on, hadn't been cleaned in ages.
Paid extra for an iron, didn't get tge ironing board, so when we questioned it we were told that the board was another £10! Be prepared for that!
There isn't enough staff onsite, it is very poorly run! Most of the staff are young and don't care. Finn, who did the trampoline was very nice and was the only member of staff who looked like he was enjoying it.
Bertie's ice cream van is unhygienic. Tge lady has long fingernails, dirty and touches money (the dirtiest thing ever) and food without washing her hands. She also wiped her face and hair without washing her hands before touching food. Grim.
Chip shop is soooo over priced. Nearly £10 for a piece of fish no bigger than a fish finger! Chips aren't chippy chips, don't even taste like potato.
Pappa John's is good and reasonably priced.
NO WIFI, be prepared to have a holiday with NO SIGNAL! No WiFi unless you walk to one spot.
The evening entertainment is very poor. The only decent thing was one older male singer, he carried the others. The bar is really overpriced.
Arcades are good for the kids.
Basketball court was always occupied so my kids didn't get a look in.
When we raised a complaint after we got home stating all the complaints we made onsite, customer services gave awful responses and denied receiving half of what we mentioned. Once they have your money, they don't care. Haven is an awful company to book with so beware! I will never book another holiday with them again.

Poor service at Goldensands

We arrived at our Silver caravan in Goldensands mablethorpe – our third time booking this class – and immediately noticed it was not up to the standard we’ve come to expect. Unlike previous visits, there was no wraparound deck or supported steps, which made it very difficult for my wife to get in and out. Inside, there was also no dishwasher – something that has always come as standard with this class on our past stays.

After several calls over a three-hour period to request a relocation, the only solutions offered were either a downgrade to a Bronze caravan (a significant step down from what we’d paid for), or being told to “call every hour to check for cancellations.” This felt like a tactic to wear us down into settling for less than what we had booked and paid for.

This was very disappointing, especially as we had planned to stay for a week and had deliberately chosen the Silver class because of the comfort and consistency we’d experienced before. To be told that “if you want certain features you have to stipulate them on booking” felt like very poor customer service, particularly when those features have always previously been included as standard.

Overall, this experience has really let us down. We were left feeling frustrated, undervalued as repeat customers, and unlikely to return in the future.

We booked Prestatyn Haven for 15/08/25

We booked Prestatyn Haven for 15/08/25. On arriving at 5.30pm we were told the park was shut, and no one was allowed on. But apparently they closed the park around 2pm but never bothered to send an email until 8.30pm that night. There was lots of people stranded due to traveling by train. Haven did nothing. They didnt care. We were lucky we had a car. I would never use Haven again. Now I hear we have to wait up to 28 days for our refund. Disgusting attitude!

I just rang customer services and spoke to such a rude lady I had to put the phone down after a few minutes, we have booked 5 caravans in weymouth! Spent lots of money, it was not made clear we cant use the swimming pool and have to buy passes which are now all gone as it's after 12 midday! The " so called customer service"lady would not let me talk, was so aggressive and unhelpful, impatient! How did she get that job? So we are all in Weymouth now at the haven little sea ... Booking name brown , (hoseasons and parkdean are lovely if there's a problem Haven are not!)

Awful.

What an awful experience.

1. On the first day I found tapeworm eggs and hair strands inside my tap water. I could've gotten tapeworms stuck in my body since those eggs are so tiny. How they allow this to be infected in their water is beyond me

2. When I went in my room I found candy wrappers and dirt stains scattered everywhere.

3. I sat down on the sofa and out of nowhere I smell an awful stench coming from the sofa...turns out it was A DAMM URINE STAIN.

4. The towels were barely cleaned when i first arrived and i noticed ANOTHER PISS STAIN ON THE TOWEL.

5. The activities were senseless and boring. I saw a lot of teenage couples vaping and smoking outside, and the beaches were unkempt and had rubbish littered all over the coast line.

All in all An awful experience, do not go to harbor watch.
