Was looking to book when I found out the passes price is extortionate and it does not cover the cost of most of the activities as you have to pay extra on top of the passes. Not happy
Welcoming touring site. My wife and I have just spent 2 weeks on the Hafan y mor touring site. Lovely welcome from the 2 wardens. John the warden offered us loads of helpful information and always... Ver más
We had booked a 4 night break to Hafan y mor holiday park 13th to 17th April. Due to a death in the family we asked haven to move the holiday to the week after, we were told nothing could be done, h... Ver más

Terrible Experience – Broken Caravan and Rude Staff at Golden Sands Haven
We booked a Silver 2-bedroom caravan at Haven Golden Sands, paying nearly £1000 for the larger decking. We were “upgraded” to a 3-bedroom caravan with half the decking, broken curtain reels, a non-working sound system, and a fireplace with no remote. The caravan was unclean, smelly, and had rubbish including used sanitary items.
We called reception before entering, then again immediately after discovering the state of the caravan. The manager was rude, telling me to “take it or leave it,” insisting I could fit on the tiny decking, and pointing out “plenty of other spaces in the park to sit.”
We stayed 7 nights, and friends in Bronze and Saver caravans paid half as much for much better accommodation. Our long-awaited holiday was nearly ruined, and we will never return.
AVOID DIRTY FLY INFESTATION RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Summary of issues:
1. Fly infestation in caravan
• On the second night of our stay, I returned at 10pm to find the caravan infested with flies due to a nest outside.
• Security attended but stated that flies were “out of their control” and advised me to “deal with it” myself.
• I requested alternative accommodation, which was initially refused due to “no availability”.
• I requested urgent cleaning and bedding replacement as there were hundreds of dead flies inside. Security stated they were not cleaners and could not assist.
2. Temporary relocation to Weymouth Bay
• Eventually, I was given one night’s accommodation at your sister site Weymouth Bay. This was also unacceptable — there was no toilet roll and the bin contained dirty nappies.
3. Return to Little Sea
• I was promised the original caravan would be deep cleaned, with the outside washed and cobwebs/nests removed.
• On return, I found that only the bedding had been changed — the fly problem remained, and there was no proper sanitisation.
• I again contacted security, who attended with a hoover but still did not clean or sanitise the caravan.
• Food had to be thrown away due to contamination.
4. Ongoing issues
• I reported a dripping tap to security for three consecutive days, and it was never repaired.
• I was told I could cancel the remainder of my stay for a partial refund and book a Travelodge, but this was not a reasonable solution given I had already paid for suitable accommodation on site.
Impact on our stay
• My children were unable to get proper rest due to the conditions.
• We experienced significant stress, disruption, and loss of the enjoyment we paid for.
• We incurred additional inconvenience and expenses due to your failure to provide a clean, safe, and habitable caravan.

Dirty caravan and charged for things that you don't get
Arrived at combe haven and when we got to the caravan found we had no parking space which they had charged us extra for. On entering into the caravan we found what looked like a breast pad in the cutlery drawer and in the other utensil drawer was all food debris.we found rubbish left in the wardrobe.clearly not cleaned properly .the customer service was none existent and not helpful.if I could give it no stars I would . definitely would not recommend haven .
Customer service was excellent
Customer service was excellent. The team were so helpful and made our experience all the more memorable
ZERO rating but no option to do that
We booked a holiday initially, but we were told to pay £20 to make one amendment later despite of requesting 6 days in advance. This amount is a way too much for small amendment.
Get a cheap holiday abroad it will cost you a lot less than Haven!
Haven Seaview Weymouth
Caravan was okay, not 100% clean; bottom of shower door needed a good clean and the overflow on the sink was very limescaled - needed a good limescale clean.
The caravan was sited right next to the pool with music blaring out from 10am - 6pm, it was louder in the van than in the pool.
Mash & Barrel food was awful and high priced.
The theater bar prices were extortionate £27 for a bottle of wine, £12 for a beer and cider, basic soft drinks for kids not cheap.
There is an adventure area on the adjoining site, again expensive for all activities.
Sorry to say you could probably have a cheaper holiday abroad as Haven Holidays are not at all cheap.
How Haven may invalidate your holiday insurance.
Booked this July 2025 but unfortunately before the week I was hospitalised for 18 days.
I wanted to claim through my holiday insurance but Haven won’t provide me with a simple document to state it was a no show, which would cost them nothing. On ringing head office they did say they would send a document but it never arrived. I rang back to enquire but they then changed their stance. They claim I could have given the booking to someone else although no evidence I was there, booked in or left. No terms and conditions in evidence. Think I’ll try Trading Standards. Extremely poor company. Got the impression don’t bother us.
I have since recontacted the company directly and had a swift response to the complaint. They have apologised and extended a monetary response which allows us to book again in the future even though we did not take out holiday insurance with Haven. My wife and I think this a very fair conclusion.
Waste of Time and money - UPGRADES
3 Stars because I have been before and they re usually great. Last trip was expensive and I feel ripped off.
I have been to Caister several times and staff are always great, and accommodation is what I expect.
I upgraded this time, only to silver but still cost more money. The silver gave me a Deck area to sit on among other things. Deck was awesome, looking straight at the bin store.
The caravan backed onto he swimming pool and its emergency exit. No blind in the bedroom but a 3000W light on all night flooding the bedroom with light.
Brought entertainment tickets for pool and entertainment, never brought these before. First day went to pool to be advised I had to prebook. Couldn't prebook as they were full so another waste of money.
So all of the extra money I paid was pointless, total waste. I did advise staff on site but they apologised and that was it.
Also fish and chips on site - OMG how bad was this from their chippy. Chips were dried out tasted like oven chips, Fish was barely bigger than a fish finger. £13 and it was rank. Lesson here is go offsite the one opposite the entrance is decent.
So 3 star review because its a good park in a good location, but dont spend money on upgrades as its a total waste of money and not something I will do again.
Noisy building site at Perran Sands
Stayed at Perran Sands for 1 week. Paid nearly £2000 for peak season. There were building works going on that woke us up at 7.25am for 3 days in a row. Complained and they said they were having discussions with the contractors and the noise in the early mornings stopped. Have asked for compensation but haven’t received anything to date. Not even a phone call from Head Office even though the onsite team escalated my complaint. On site team were great - they offered to move us but with 4 children and 3 days into our holiday - it would have taken more time out of our holiday to move. And at the time of them offering the noise has been delayed to later in the mornings.
I think it would be courteous to offer some form of recompense and am disgusted that they haven’t offered or replied to my correspondence. At this point I don’t think management care about customer service, it seems they are more interested in making a profit from families paying peak costs.
I will take this complaint further to seek compensation as Haven did not deliver what I paid for.
Went for Breakfast this morning at…
Went for Breakfast this morning at Cornwall, Parrenporth, the Costa Coffee was lukewarm and the Scrambled egg on toast was cold, didn’t eat it at all, charged a lot for Rubbish food.
So be aware of this, must be the normal thing with Haven as we had the same at Waterside.
Haven has gone Downhill.
Tired abused Signature Gold caravans not worth the money
Should have been NO stars if possible marked it as 3 stars purely because we have been with Haven before over the years be it touring caravan stays or other Haven parks stopping at their different holiday homes but unlike before where we had no complaints & holidays were great. (Have today 22nd August 2025 downrated the review from 3 stars to one star due to very poor response & unsatisfactory outcome of complaint from Haven to be honest if it was possible they would get no stars!)But this recent stay at Blue Dolphin was very disappointing given the special occasion of our 30th wedding anniversary which i booked in August last year 2024 as a surprise for my wife as the week of 19th-26th July stay was a nostalgic holiday reminding my wife & i of our honeymoon as we traveled all around the east coast of Yorkshire taking in Haven sites including Blue Dolphin 30 years ago on our honeymoon in our touring caravan. To celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary this year we stopped at the newer part of Blue Dolphin at number 6 Wold Vale (Which we haven't seen before) the environment was excellent couldn't fault it overall ,but the caravan badly let us down in cleanliness & damage along with things not working plus the amount of flies in the caravan as we opened the door as we arrived was alarming. I did indicate my concerns at one point of the caravan being supposedly of a luxury standard it was very tired looking & not worth the £2,320 total paid for the week,i even rejected the accommodation also again earlier in the week & nearly went home on our anniversary day on the Tuesday 22nd July but a staff member talked me into staying i pointed out to Haven staff to me Haven should have a starting point of a total refund as accommodation was not as described in their advertising & to be honest during our stay we spoke to others in the 10 front row caravans of the pond as those holidaymakers also felt the same way feeling ripped off.Wasn't pleased at all as we was badly let down by one member of staff Jenny that should know better being management as she ignored my last two texts mid-week to her & had the cheek to send me a text 15 mins after leaving the keys at the office in the morning of our departure on our 4 hour plus trip home a day earlier than planned we were that fedup, why didn't she come out & have a word? We were made aware from other staff that someone higher up in charge of the site had only just started during our stay so it wasn't possible to speak to her? Special thanks & recognition must go to Rachel at the reception also to Graham the handyman & to security when unattended children were running riot around the ten front row caravans where we were staying near the pond chasing ducks & throwing stones at them by the water's edge with a possible drowning incident prevented also being near holiday makers cars & caravan windows throwing stones everywhere the security staff member attended quickly at 9.20pm last Monday (21st July) night as children according to the warning signs should be accompanied by responsible adults.Under normal circumstances we've liked stopping at Haven sites & having holidays taken with them at different sites ourselves but given the special occasion this year it turned out to be a disaster & was very disappointed we expected better of Haven.
I do have a full list of issues with the tired looking abused Signature Gold caravan that is number 6 Wold Vale part of Blue Dolphin holiday park including photos & videos but will with hold these back for the time being
*Formal complaint done today 1st August 2025 will take down the review on a positive result from Haven to our disappointing experience.
** Updated today 22nd August 2025 i have downrated the review from 3 stars to one star due to very poor response & unsatisfactory outcome of our complaint from Haven after a few weeks was offered £98 at first then later offered £343 as final offer against a Signature Gold caravan that we paid £2,320 for the week to be honest if it was possible they would get no stars! Never again will we be booking with Haven & express caution on your booking for the standard of caravan required & the way Haven advertise it.
Should be ashamed Haven
Check in time not adhered too
Coombe haven so they give you a check in time
Then you get there and it isn’t ready
So you ask reception and they say oh it could be another hour
So be aware check in time is not adhered to for some
Not good when you have food in your car a dog and baby etc
4 stars due to two issues
Booking easy online but if you need to speak to an advisor regarding the booking they are charging you which is ridiculous holiday camps are normally clean but caravan not so clean entertainment good and clean inside arcade entertainment areas are well maintained I've been going 2 times a year for the passed 20 years with haven and found it to be the same experience
What an absolute disgrace.....
What an absolute disgrace.....
I wrote a lengthy, detailed complaint email on their website, to wait over 20 days, to receive a generic, thoughtless, useless reply, that actually just made me feel more angry, disspointed, and let down but the whole experience.
I paid £1000 for a premium, gold, signature, front row, sea view with air con caravan. What i received was at best, a silver, and I am still waiting, another week after the last response for somebody from haven to come back to me ans tell me what they are going to do about it.
Having stayed at haven on iver 15 occasions across 30 years I like to think I have a good understanding of what 'gold', should look like. And what i revived certainly wasn't this. I've never once had a problem with haven before.... this is so disappointing.
I hope this can be resolved.
Haven Wild duck
We have come to the end of our stay at wild duck campsite, we arrived to our first allocated caravan at 107 sandpiper court to find a smashed patio door , dirty accommodation, un vacuumed carpets , toothpaste splats up the splash back in bathroom, a terrible smell of urine in the toilets , tea and coffee stains on kitchen work tops. We have a 4 year old and a 5 year old who were in danger of hurting them selves. The first impressions was terrible , we called reception and they sent over a maintenence person who advised go to reception to sort the issue. The first question I asked reception before entering 107 sandpiper court was is this a dog pet free caravan, I was told yes. I made them dully aware I am extremely allergic to pet hair. We were then allocated a second caravan 289 mandarin court we arrived to a dirty carpet and un made bed for my toddler. I put sleeping bags on their beds so we could start to get in with the holiday.
My skin on the backs of my legs started to flare up after sitting on the couch in the caravan , after the first night of sleeping in a bed that had hair on it my back and face falred up, red inflamed skin with hives, the second night my skin became more imflamed unable to bed or moved freely , the 3 rd night I bought a sleeping bag and slept on the couch but this time my skin was in a full allergic reaction state. I have been able to go swimming with my sons due to the allergic reaction I've had. On closer inspection the caravan couch and beds were covered in dog hair . I've included photos . This ruined our stay and my first ever vacation with my children has been extremely sour and one I will remember for the wrong reasons. I have been lied to about the accommodation and I have my skin and photos as proof. This is not acceptable by any means. My sons cried every morning asking if I can go in swimming and I've had to say no and watch from the side lines.
The mattress had stains on , and one mattresses had dried vomit down one side. When we checked out I spike to reception and tried to advise them of the issues we had had they simply shut me down saying fill out the feed back form, I said I'd like to be able to show pictures of the issues she said again just fill out the feed back form.
We ate in you restaurant yesterday afternoon at 1.30 there were 3 other small 4 people families also eating. We ordered our food it took over 45 mins to come to the table, when it arrived the chips were powdery and cold and under cooked and the burger we ordered only has 1 before pati, they took in back to the kitchen after myself and sons ate our meal my partners food arrived at the table with an added beef patti on the same plate of food just kept warm the rest of the food dried up.
We ordered desert , my sons deserts came out after 25 mins , they ate, our desert followed 15 mins after, my sons being young found it hard to sit patiently and still as is fully understandable . The lunch at non peek time took nearly 2 hours.
The play park had tapes and coke cans littered across where my 2 younger sons were playing this was about 10.30 am Friday morning
Having never done a haven holiday this experience has left us not wanting to re use the service again but try a different provider.
We asked Thursday if we could stay Friday as my sons hadnt had the best time hoping to try to rectify and give then some happy memories but there was no availability but this came as a relief for me as my skin is in such a bad states.
We bought new flip flops for all 4 family members to wear inside the caravan to avoid our feet touching the floors . It really was gross. My sons sat on the carpet in the living room area at one point to play a board game and as my youngest son put his fingers in his mouth to suck them as this is a comfort to him there was curly hair stuck round them .
We noticed also when waiting for maintaince to come to the first caravan in the bushes there were youths congregating in the bushes behind 107 caravan which felt very disconcerting and worrying to me having 2 small children, I felt relieved we weren't staying at that caravan.
You should be honest about dog friendly caravans as people with allergic reactions really suffer which I have. Both caravans were dirty, one with a smashed door was unbelievably dangerous and disturbing that is was left for a family to find.I found when reporting the incident I was made to feel like a inconvenience and staff had to begrudgingly re allocated us.
Using you go karts there were 4 teenage boys using then at the same time they were unbelievably dangerous on them, at one point driving at each other head on and smashing the pedles on the kart. When informing staff they just said what can they say ?
I asked why I had been told the caravan we had was pet free but clearly wasn't the receptionists said people just smuggle pets in.
I've had a response from Sarah Corlett she has apologised for the disappointment caused
On arriving at our SILVER caravanat…
On arriving at our SILVER caravan at Seaview on 5th July at 1pm which i paid for, no seal on the door, we waited 25 minutes then decided to enter, i let the staff know.there was not 1 toilet roll, no passes, just the key, then we found the chair was broken as well as the cupboard door for mop etc.all the pillowcases were inside out and the quilt was openend up, what kind of bedmaking is that.light in the fridge not working.and to top it off the shower was dangerous, couldnt regulate it at all, and when you get out the floor is running in water.i paid an extra £300 to upgrade to silver and i expect too see attention to detail, it might seem like little things but it all adds up. Oh and the staff cleaning caravan next to us bhad their music too loud we couldnt hear our tv, Caravan 152 at Seaview was ours, thankyou, mrs Avril Mould.
Very clean accomodation and site at…
Very clean accomodation and site at Sandy Bay, Exemouth site. Pleasant and cheerful staff. Good location. Reccemended BUT NOT ALL HAVEN SITES ARE AS GOOD. Most I have stayed at are great, a recent stay at Craig Tara was awefull.
John Warham
We had a brilliant time, landed very lucky with a lovely caravan in a lovely area of the park albeit as far away from the entertainment but for me was great as it was lovely as quite. Best park for young kids and families and I've done them all along that coastline.
What made a massive difference was a lovely gentleman at the exit called John Warham that took his time to ask us how our stay went, wanted to listen and then wished us a safe drive home. God bless you, John! Thank you and we'll see you next year (if Tattersall don't give a better deal lol).
Mr Mac
Disgusting
We was kept up every night, banging, slamming caravan doors, loud tv and music, then 1 night they come banging on our caravan threatened us cause I got security, stay away from Cala Gran they are putting legal immigrants in caravans.
