Elie has a real passion and knowledge for cars which he is excited to share. Communication when planning our day was excellent, he was very responsive and friendly. Elie’s thoughtfulness planning this tour really comes through as he has blended the JDM car scene along with spiritual and cultural experiences. One of our favorites days in Japan! This is a day that any car enthusiast does not want to miss!!

We booked an all-day tour with Elie to visit the Hokone area and hopefully see Mt Fuji. Although the weather didn’t cooperate on the Mt Fuji viewing, Elie couldn’t have been more helpful before, during, and after the tour. We truly enjoyed the drive, learning about Japanese history, culture, and specifically about the Hakone region. We stopped at some beautiful viewpoints and when we asked about hikes, we were offered the opportunity to shift the schedule so that we could get a short hike in if we wanted. Elie recommended a historic tea house that we loved and the onsen that he chose for us was welcoming and relaxing. Overall, we had a great day and will surely seek Elie’s guidance for future trips.

We had a magical day with Elie in Hakone and Mt Fuji. The Onsen and lunch were amazing. We went to a beautiful art museum. Eli was kind, patient, answered all our questions and gave us terrific referrals in Tokyo. I would highly recommend Elie and his crew.

I went on this trip as an American tourist with a couple friends. Lenny was a perfect tour guide because he was knowledgeable and we were able to speak with him easily in English about everything in Japan. He took us to a great overlook of Mt Fuji that was on the other side of the mountain away from the touristy part where there were no crowds. We also viewed a temple where he explained the Japanese rituals. We also chose to do the onsen experience, which wad great. Just a couple things to note is that if you are American, the onsen may be uncomfortable because you are walking around (separated by gender) completely naked, so it may be jarring for those who are self-conscious for American children of certain ages. Also, if you choose to do the onsen you may not have time for other experiences, such as museums. But we are very glad to have had an authentic Japanese experience!

What an awsome tour, I had no idea where we were going or what we were seeing because it was setup for us. Lenny was probably one of the best guides I have ever had. He was knowledgeable on Japanese culture kept us engage son each stop. He was just awsome thank you Lenny for a great day.
The highlight of the day was the onsen where we had a great massage and sat in the hot spring to relax before heading back.

I had booked a private 1 day trip to Hakone with private Onsen, Mt. Fuji with famil. Dominik was our guide and he was very prompt, very informative and an excellent guide. He took plus around and took personal care to ensure we had a great day.

Dominik was our guide on a wet, cold day to Hakone. He picked us up on time at our hotel in Tokyo in a very nice comfortable van. We knew we had no hope of seeing Fuji that day but settled back for an enjoyable day out of town. Traffic going outbound was thick but Dominik was very safe. We stopped along the way for snacks and also to get stamps. We took the back roads in Hakone-the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. We stopped at the shrine in Hakone and then to the onsen. Hot springs and a cool rain made an enjoyable time there. Back to Tokyo in the afternoon. I recommend this service and hope your weather is nice too.

One of my most enjoyable days in Japan. Elie provided door to door service, made wonderful recommendations, provided in depth commentary of everything from Japanese culture to religious history, and provided a flexible itinerary to soak up the scenery. The views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Asho were stunning. The onsen experience was truly exceptional. So very relaxing! I cannot recommend Elie more highly.

Our day trip to Hakone was absolutely fantastic! Leny, our guide from Haven Japan, was exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire experience. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan.

The journey itself was smooth and relaxing in a super comfortable car. Leny knew exactly how to avoid the traffic and tourist crowds, taking us on scenic backroads that offered breathtaking, crowd-free views of the Hakone region and Mount Fuji. It felt like we had these panoramic vistas all to ourselves.

We visited a beautiful Shinto shrine, and Leny shared the fascinating history behind it, adding depth and context that made the experience even more meaningful. One of the highlights was a stop at a charming, traditional teahouse, where we sampled local delicacies in a serene setting — a real taste of authentic Japan.

The day concluded with a visit to a peaceful onsen, where we enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch followed by a soak in the hot baths, surrounded by forest views. It was the perfect, tranquil ending to a rich and memorable day.

Leny went above and beyond, even giving us excellent restaurant recommendations for our next destination, Kyoto. It was a truly magical experience from start to finish — one we’ll never forget.

This was our best day outside of Tokyo! Lenny was AMAZING! Super comfortable van, amazing conversation and company and full of knowledge. This tour avoids crowds at Mt Fugi and we were taken to a local tea shop that was incredible! We also got to experience a local Onsen to really make the day unforgettable! Our Mt. Fuji trip last December was a dream! Huge shoutout to our amazing guide Lenny—so pleasant, helpful, and went above and beyond. We explored the lake, soaked in a relaxing onsen, and even had a proper Japanese massage! Communication was a breeze with Lenny (he’s European!), and he made the whole experience smooth and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Elie was a phenomenal guide for my tour to Hakone! I greatly appreciate him sharing his knowledge of Japanese culture, history and all of the various travel tips he had for my time in the country. It was also greatly appreciated that he reached out to me a day before our tour to inform me that due to the weather, I’d be unlikely to see Mt. Fuji, and provided options for alternative activities or to cancel. Having read amazing reviews of his tours, I decided to go ahead with it and am so glad I did. We had a great trip to Fuji and Hakone with Elie! We highly recommend this company when you go to Japan and want to have unique and easy travel experiences.

We had a spectacular excursion with Eli on our recent stopover in Tokyo. We had a 3 day stop in Tokyo on our cruise and friends were joining us, embarking in Tokyo. Eli seamlessly picked them up at there hotel and then met us at our ship.
The vehicle was modern clean and very comfortable and could’ve have held at least 6 passengers.
We headed out for our 10 hour tour to Hakone and about 90 minutes into it started seeing spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. We went to a few viewing spots before arriving at an ancient temple where we spent some time learning about the history. (More views of Fuji) We then went for a local lunch before heading to the highlight for us, The Hakone Open Air Museum with major pieces from Henry Moore, Miro, Chadwick, Rodin etc. all in a magnificent open air setting. We concluded our tour at a wonderful onsen before returning to Tokyo.
Eli was a fabulous guide; personable, caring and never rushing us. He is French but has lived in Japan for many years and his English is impeccable.
Hi highly recommended this tour and suggest enlisting Eli for any tours for which you can reserve him, around the Tokyo area.
