This tour provided so many different experiences that I would be here all day telling you about them. Our guide Elie was as knowledgeable as you could ever hope a guide to be with a great attitude. You are allowed to fully customize the tour with the guide giving helpful recommendations to the best spots, whether it be hidden jems of Japan's nature, or the best local food spots we had the whole trip. I would recommend anyone who wants to have a standout experience with great service and helpful knowledge book this tour. The service exceeded our expectations by miles so much so that we went and booked another! Fantastic service and If I ever come back I know that I can trust this to show me the hidden beauty of japan.

I cannot recommend Elie and Haven Japan enough! From start to finish, this tour was meticulously planned, leaving me thinking through what I should do next time. Elie’s deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history really brought context to the trip and the experience I was looking for. Honestly, one of my regrets was not leveraging Elie more on my list trip to Japan. He’s also just a good hang. I feel like he would fit well with a travel enthusiast or even the casual travel that may only plan to visit Japan once.

What sets Elie apart is his passion for traveling, new experiences and new adventures. He took the time to understand my interests and crafted an itinerary that allowed to squeeze the most time out of that experjence.

If you’re looking for a guide who combines expertise, insight from a seasoned traveler/adventurer, and just an inquisitive good dude. Haven Japan is a must for anyone wanting an authentic and memorable journey through Japan. My first trip with Elie was a 1 day trip to Hokone with time at Onsen followed by one of my most favorite, yet simple Japanese meals (Shabu Shabu). This experience was likely my top 1 or top 2 days in Tokyo and Osaka!

My daughter and I had a lovely day in Hakone with Lenny, our tour guide. Pick up was on time and the car ride was comfortable. Lenny is very knowledgeable about the sites and Japanese culture. He made an effort to connect with us and offered his experience and advice on living and traveling in Japan. He is super accommodating. He knew good photo spots. We experienced the mountain, lake, shrine, onsen, and museum in Hakone. Lenny was very patient when we encountered bad traffic returning to Tokyo. Outstanding customer service. We highly recommend this tour operator.

We had an awesome day, heading out to Hakone with a visit to one of the Onsens, local shrine and a stop at a beautiful roadside viewpoint. Our guide was informative, friendly, and accommodative. I would highly recommend.

This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Japan. From beginning to end Elie and Lenny were accommodating and professional. They were flexible in choosing a meeting place in Hakone to pick me up, given that I didn’t begin the tour in Tokyo. I learned so much about the area from Lenny. The Onsen experience is not to be missed- a real flavor of Japan! The Hakone Shrine, tea house, and beautiful drive were the perfect compliment to the day. I loved that it was a small group rather than being on a bus, totally worth the extra cost! I loved every
minute of the day and would highly recommend this tour!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience for our first trip to Tokyo. I couldn’t imagine our trip to My Fuji being so wonderful without Lenny. Lenny was outstanding. We didn’t have Yen pulled as we had just gotten in and he covered us at the tea house stop. Stopped to let us grab a quick bite for breakfast. Explained everything about our tour to a T. We all couldn’t stop giggling about our Onsen visit. It was a wonderfully shy experience. But glad we gave in. The drive through the autumn colors on a misty day around Mt Fuji was amazing although the mountain played shy on our visit. Everyone in the lunchroom were so happy to help us navigate and get settled in. Lenny was so patient. Loved the story about his hopefully one day in laws. Super sweet. Highly recommend the one day tour and if you’re lucky enough to get Lenny, you are in for a personalized special treat.

Lenny made my hakone experience amazing! I was not able to see Mt Fuji because of the clouds, but Lenny honestly made the whole trek worth while with his personality and huge array of knowledge - 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect Hakone tour! We appreciated the thoughtful routes and stops with great information and awesome tour guide! The onsen visit was one of my favorite activities of my whole trip. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing and recharging getaway from Tokyo for the day.

Our day with Elie could not have been better. We saw a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and visited some incredible shrines (I will never forget the famous floating Tori gate at the Hakone Shrine!). We spent time in the town Hakone, and capped the day off was an unforgettable experience at the Hakone onsen. It was an amazing time. Elie was an amazing host - very knowledgeable and friendly. He even worked with us to craft an itinerary that met all of our expectations. I highly recommend Havenjapan for your Japanese adventure!

We had a flawless day with Lenny. It was great to get out of Tokyo and experience other beauties such as a Japanese Tea House, an Onsen and a Shrine. The sights of autumn were breathtaking and we got to witness some gorgeous views. Lenny gave us the perfect amount of information about traditional Japanese beliefs and some fantastic tips on making the most of our holiday. He also took our photos which we were very grateful for. The day was a perfect balance with a bit of everything. An all round leisurely experience at our own pace.

I had the privilege of working with a truly outstanding driver Elie Corbex who went to great lengths to assist me. He put in significant effort to arrange a car that I could drive myself. Although it ultimately didn’t work out due to my limited driving experience, he still ensured that I had the opportunity to get behind the wheel, which I deeply appreciated.

In addition to his resourcefulness, he was exceptionally courteous, provided valuable insights, and showcased impeccable organizational abilities. His commitment, professionalism, and proactive approach made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Highly commendable!

What an amazing day. Pick up and drop off to the hotel was perfect. Elie catered the tour to my interests. The outdoor museum was absolutely amazing and the onsen experience was beautiful and relaxing thanks to instructions given by Elie .Communication from the beginning was excellent so I was simply able to relax and enjoy.

Elie made our trip very fun! From the booking, he was very professional. The entire journey to Hakone and back was comfortable and effortless. He shared a lot of knowledge about the history of the shrines we toured and took us along the most beautiful routes with stunning views. Truly amazing, from start to finish we were pampered, the van was super comfortable, and the guide was more than helpful. We had already been to Japan, but we had never experienced a day like this. You can really feel the professionalism and passion; I highly recommend it.
