Fake address and unreachable contact — do not buy
I attempted to buy surveying equipment from hexatecsurveying.com. After payment I checked the company address listed on their site and discovered that the address is actually associated with PT POLARISNET (source: PeeringDB). The phone numbers shown on the site — (62) 8571 1207 0491 and (62) 21 19277657 — were unreachable when I tried to call. The seller never provided valid tracking or any meaningful communication after that.
Why this matters:
Using someone else’s address and having unreachable contact numbers are strong warning signs of a fake vendor or listing. This puts buyers at risk of losing money and receiving no product or support.
What I recommend you do if you were affected:
Contact your bank or card issuer immediately to request a chargeback or reversal.
Save all emails, invoices, screenshots of the website, and records of calls/texts.
File a police report and a complaint with your country’s consumer protection agency.
Report the website to domain/hosting provider, and post a factual review (like this) to warn others.
