The whole process from start to finish was less than 2 weeks. And more importantly Capitalize streamlined the experience and took out any of the stress or concern you might have in transferring your retirement account to E*TRADE.

We needed help with rolling over the 401(k) into my IRA account. Christy really simplified the process, using your seemingly well designed technology. We simply could login to my Voya account offline, and Christy provided me the option to finish the process with SMSes.

Pleasantly surprised by how painless this whole process was. Don't know why I'd put it off for so long when I could have used Capitalize. If I had known about Capitalize sooner and how easy it was, I wouldn't have wasted time. The support and communication provided throughout was reassuring and inspired trust and confidence. I urge anyone who has an old 401(k) forgotten somewhere to use Capitalize. Don't sleep on them!

I was rolling over an IRA from another brokerage, and this was offered. Even the company using Capitalize didn't know much about it, but the guy's colleague told him it was quicker. And it was -- very easy to create the roll-over, and it was very quick. Who knows if they'll steal my identity or $$ in the future (they have my info, presumably destroyed at this point), but for now they did what I asked and did it well.

These guys made it incredibly simple. They established a 3 way call, I answered a few questions and done.

Overall, they did a good job handling my rollover from Transamerica. There were a few glitches on Transamerica’s end that required setting up a conference call, which Capitalize handled for me, and those issues were resolved.

I did dock a star, though, because communication was a bit hit or miss. A few times I had to reach out myself for help or updates.

Another concern was how the funds were transferred. Transamerica mailed a check through USPS, and it took seven business days for the money to show up in my account, then another four days before I could actually use the funds. Transamerica did not send the check by certified mail, which was frustrating.

It would have been helpful if Capitalize had recommended a different rollover method, such as using certified mail for tracking, if that was an available option with Transamerica. I was not aware of any alternatives, and I would have gladly paid extra for the peace of mind. It was not a comfortable feeling spending seven business days wondering where my retirement money was. I was also surprised to learn that Transamerica sent a significant amount of retirement money using nothing more than a regular check in a standard first class stamped envelope through USPS.

I was rather surprised that in today’s age of electronic banking and digital transactions, a company like Transamerica would fall back on such an outdated method of sending money.

What a great service this company gives. And for FREE! I honestly did not have to lift a finger except to fill out some basic information in the beginning. That saved me so much stress from not dealing with paperwork, printing and sending off anything to anyone. Capitalize took care of everything and even touched back with me to ensure everything transferred over. I would definitely use them again if needed (just for reference I already knew my previous employer’s 401k info)
