We had Home genius exteriors, do our siding! Worst experience ever! Our siding is coming off, the insulation is falling out, they broke our solar panel box and put the parts in upside down, so our solar panels have not worked since December/January of this year! You can’t get anybody over here to take care of it, you can’t get anybody to call you back and when you do, they just push you off to customer care who doesn’t do anything! Do not use them. They’re the worst company in the world. Their crew was awful. They were rude. They left their microwave plugged into our electricity wide open during a rain storm.

We had a great experience with Home Genius Exteriors and highly recommend their work for both roof replacement (they installed a metal roof for us) and new siding (we now have new James Hardie siding). Our house was 40 years old and looked pretty bad. Our wood siding had places of rotting wood and birds and carpenter bees made holes all over the place. We also had a leaky roof that needed replaced. Home Genius Exteriors did all the work to replace both and everyone with their company - Sameh, Tyler, Dakota, Nehemias, all the hard working roofing guys and siding guys, were all nice, helpful, and always professional. They went above and beyond with stabilizing a loose beam in our attic, replacing an electrical outlet, mounting new coach lamps and spotlights that we had purchased and fixing a loose row of windows on our sunroom, at no extra cost! Their communication was amazing! They never made me feel like I was bothering them when I would call to ask questions, often after hours. We love the end result of our home roof and siding makeover and our next door neighbor likes how it turned out so much that they're using Home Genius Exteriors to replace their siding now too!

Home Genius thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the punch work completed was not completed to my satisfaction. I explained it over the phone to your PM. If you would like me to post pictures of the poor quality punch work I can. The punch team only had one color caulking white. My siding is grey. Why would a punch team carry only one color caulk. Also I had to haul away all of the excess materials which cost me additional money. Ask your PM who removed all the left over material.

I only watched their super brief video of installation of one panel of shingle siding, but was amazed at what I viewed. The panel appeared to be about 7'x2' and was being nailed into the styrofoam (1",2"?? thick) with what appeared to be only a few 1-1 1/2" nails, meaning it is possible the nails didn't even get into wood!!! My father & grandfather were life long master carpenters and would have died laughing had they seen this minimal application. I also built half my house and always heavy duty. Siding could be great if they used appropriate nails and 5-10 times more, good luck otherwise.

The representatives and workers were wonderful to deal with - very upfront about expected costs and timeline, and were open and honest about what services would be more useful and which ones were totally unnecessary. They were able to do the project within my budget quickly, professionally, and made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way.

Overall, my experience was disappointing. I felt pressured during the sales process, communication was poor, scheduling was disorganized, and the project manager was only on-site briefly during the installation. The behavior I witnessed from members of the installation crew—including urinating on my property and the presence of empty alcohol bottles in the work vehicle—was unacceptable. Although I do like the appearance of the new black shingles, the overall experience has left me regretting my decision to hire Home Genius. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

I hired this company to install siding on my home and to replace the trim around my roof ,no less than six months the siding started to fall off and the trim I hired them to repair now doesn't function, they had to remove my gutters to install the new trim now Rain water is bypassing the gutter entirely and pouring under my back door causing damage to my kitchen floor ,I have reached out to them on multiple occasions and to this day haven't repaired the problem

BEWARE. They were a complete rip-off! Over $50K for siding for my 972sf ranch house! After a 4 hour appointment! Total waste of time. (I got 2 other quotes for $25K and $18K from reputable companies)

June 24, 2026 home genius exteriors had an appointment with me. I thought I would need attic Insulation and he said no you don’t need that so I’m thinking well that’s great and an honest answer. And result I ended up with a contract for $10,000 on roofing and a deposit of $1100.
Upon talking to my roofer who installed the roof, the roof is not even 10 years old, he told me he’s gonna do everything that needs to be done to update what needed to be updated for a lot less than $10,000. I don’t need a new roof.

I canceled my contract within three hours and to this date, I have made a numerous phone calls and I’m having a hard time getting my deposit returned. Do not I repeat do not use this company. They try to keep your deposit and are not trustworthy.

I would NEVER use these people again. From the start they used scare tactics to get you to sign. The home office lied to us multiple times (and we have all the proof) from why it was delayed, permits needed etc. Just lie after lie and then ghosting.

The project manager was a real piece of work. Tried to bully me into signing a certificate of completion when the project wasn't done.

They tried to buy our happiness by offering...
1. A $100.00 restaurant gift card
2. $3,000 off the project
3. More free work for a 5 star review

I mean...come on. I've written reviews on them (much more detailed) in various other spots. They are corporate and all about the numbers.

I canceled my appointment before the scheduled visit. Despite the cancellation, the representative (Geo) still came to my home and asked if he could take pictures of the area. Trying to be courteous, I briefly allowed him to take a few pictures and then explained that the appointment had been canceled and asked him to leave.

Instead of leaving, he continued taking pictures, walked around the house, and brought out a ladder to access higher areas without my permission. When I asked him a second time to stop accessing my property and leave, he continued discussing the company's products and services and repeatedly tried to schedule another appointment.

When I explained that I needed to leave to pick up a family member, he asked where I was going and whom I was picking up. I felt those questions were unrelated to the appointment and made me uncomfortable.

I have never had a similar experience with any other company. Based on this interaction, I chose not to move forward with their services.

Bait and switch. They implied they would clean and flush my gutters and down spouts, but I should have looked closer at the contract, the word flush wasn’t in there, Home Genius said they only use a blower. The workers were great, but management sucks.

This is one of the worst companies I've ever used. They were supposed to do a one day blown in insulation project in my attic, but the contractor decided to not finish the job and told me that someone else would be scheduled to finish and fill out paperwork. That never happened. The company didn't even know that their own contractor didn't finish the project, which shows how much they care about their customers. To top it off, both people that showed up to do the job, ended up causing a scene by arguing with each other. And now the company is trying to lie and say that the project is finished, which all the unused insulation on my porch says otherwise.

Very pleased! Home genius knocked it out the park without failure! You have a fan for life!

I replaced two large windows. On initial install one window had a bowed aluminum cap. I requested this to ne corrected. The installers came and just put a larger cap on the windiw. Now I have a large cap on one window and a smaller cap on the other. Project manager was given pictures to see the difference, their response, "everything looks good on our end". Totally unprofessional and not worth the price.
