I love that the kit comes with everything! It was so much fun to look at the 3 options to make. I only wish there was enough yarn to make all 3 items.

Great project ideas for beginners
It had some great project ideas and im expanding my crocheting skills. I like that there are several projects to choose from and the yarn is very nice also. I do wish that for someone my age that the tutorials could be closer up so I can see better where the needle is going, this always trips me up and I have to watch over & over again to tell what is is im supposed to do.

I enjoyed my first box!
I enjoyed the fact that I have patterns for 3 different levels of skill. I enjoy the fact that nor only are the patterns broken down on paper, but we can watch the videos as well. Definitely look forward to improving my skill level!

My only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that I think when you see a photo, you expect to get what is in the photo. The photo that got me to sign up was not what I received. Also, I would love to be able to choose my colors or a color palette since the two boxes I have received are not colors I will wear myself. Other than that, I am loving it.

Fun projects, yarn could be cleaner
The projects themselves were great, and the instruction book was easy to follow, despite the very obvious typographical errors.
The wool itself used in the yarn, however, seems to not have been cleaned and carded well. There is quite a bit of small debris still in the fibers. Not enough to effect the project, and they are easily removed from the fabric created, but the little splinters are definitely noticeable.
Still looking forward to the next box, though.

Hooks & Needles is a dream come true. I have been so pleased and surprised by the crochet subscription box that I wish it would come sooner!! The products are quality and you can tell they take the time putting together their monthly booklets with patterns, ideas, and generally fun reading material. I've also had to contact customer service twice and each time I received a prompt, courteous response and my issue was resolved within 24 hours or less. I would recommend Hooks & Needles one hundred times over! You will not be disappointed!!

Somewhat conflicted
I was excited to receive my first box, being a person that knows basic crocheting I was happy to get the backpack forsure but it didn't come with any instructions as to how to assemble the velcro inserts so that puzzled me. As for the first projects to pick from I'm talking extreme beginner basic a child could do it...I certainly hope the next box meets my expectations...I was hoping for the granny square handbags I had been seeing???? Purses stuff like that...

I LOVE Hooks & Needles!
Previously, I had taken a short class at the community center to learn how to knit. We learned how to knit, purl, knit 2 together, and yarn over. After the class I knew I wanted to do more, but I was a bit lost and overwhelmed with all the options. Choosing a pattern, yarn, and needles was a lot. That’s when I found Hooks & Needles!
I decided to start with the crochet subscription box because I had never crocheted before. I was amazed how as a true beginner, I was able to make projects from the written instructions and the videos! There was enough yarn in the first box that I was able to make both the beginner headband and the intermediate bunny lovey—and they looked just like the pictures! I was hooked! So much so that I decided to get the knit subscription box as well.
I had been wanting to buy a subscription box for years, but could never find one that I thought I would actually use everything that came in the box. That all changed with Hooks & Needles. Each box comes with beautiful, high quality yarn and everything you need to make your project. It’s been great building my crafting stash. So far, I now have scissors, tapestry needles, markers, a tension ring, and of course hooks and needles. And I have the patterns to use in the future as my skills advance.
I truly LOVE this company and highly recommend to anyone that is interested in starting or perfecting their crafting journey!

A great. Low-stakes way to learn new techniques
I like that I got the opportunity to learn a new technique on a smaller scale project. I loved the bird scissors and the wooden needle case. I liked the yarn although it is fairly scratchy, it is also sturdy.
I found the included needles to be cheap. The plastic circular part bends where it attaches to the wooden tips, impeding the flow of yarn across the needle.
The instructions are well illustrated (though the part that I found difficult was not adequately illustrated), But the wording is confusing, not as I typically see things phrased in a pattern-lots of extra stuff about lefts and rights when simply stating yarn in front or yarn in back would suffice.
Overall, I’m happy with the subscription and looking forward to the next box!

From Skeptic to Fan
I don’t often trust a company super quick and order from a new site I’ve never been on. However when I found Hooks & Needles on Instagram I was drawn in and placed my first subscription box order immediately! I was so surprised when I got my first box at how high of quality all of the products were! It was just what I needed to get back into my hobby of crocheting! When my second box was shipped I was super excited and then the worst happened! My local carrier lost my package! I started a claims process and reached out to give them a heads up (not expecting anything more than an auto generated response)… to my surprise I a personalized email came back with some guidance and reassurance that we would work together to solve the issue! Even if that meant replacing my box! Customer Service was super fast and so helpful! A A++ for me! You’ll be happy to know they found my package and delivered it to my door! I’m definitely a lifetime customer now and I have been sharing with all my crochet and knitting friends! I’m Hooked! Pun intended! 😆☺️

I subscribe to the crochet box. I like several things about this box: the quality of yarn, the choice of projects, the accessories, the gifts, and the ability to change the frequency of the box. I also like that I can reuse the patterns with my own yarn.
