Sells Verifiably Fraudulent Products
It's unfortunate to see people who don't have the bandwidth to double check getting scammed by cleverly marketed drop shipping businesses. I wish I could contact every person who bought these bands tell them to seek a charge-back from their banking institution because the resistance bands this company sells, and most likely the rest of their products, are fraudulent. This is what I did and I was successful. House Gym is clever about what they're doing to. They are very willing to send you a new resistance band kit if you complain because it's much cheaper so send cheap new kits than it would be to provide a full refund, most likely because they are marking the price of these cheap kits up by many times.
I was sent fraudulent bands as they are significantly not as described and I sought a full refund since I would have never purchased any resistance bands that are of the significantly lower quality that was sent to me in the first place. Their Alphaband Pro bands are advertised to provide up to about ~150lbs of resistance when stacked, but upon measuring them stacked with a fish scale, they actually provide 2.5 - 4.5 times less resistance than advertised when stretched to 3x their length (the general recommendation on how far to safely stretch these bands). All the bands are 4 ft resting and 12 ft stretched 3x times their length. I have conducted a test just to prove what I am describing. See images attached for visual proof of claims below. The 30lbs band (black) is actually ~6.8lbs (-4.4x advertised). The 25lbs band (green) is actually ~6.8lbs (-3.7x advertised). The 20lbs band (blue) is actually ~6.2lbs (-3.2x advertised). The 15lbs band (red) is actually ~4.6lbs (-3.3x advertised). The 10lbs band (yellow) is actually ~4.2lbs (-2.4x advertised). Ultimately, the difference between the lowest weight band and the highest weight is 2.6lbs! They're all essentially the same weight! This is undoubtedly an extremely large margin of error, especially when I own another brand of resistance bands that I have tested to be accurate to their weight claims. I was second set of bands because the handles of the resistance bands I originally purchased weren't holding up to the max weight, but those were also equally fraudulent. The handles buckle before even 30lbs of load is put on them. Additionally, the original set they sold me came incomplete.
