Beth was very helpful and (this is very important) communicated very well throughout the process of dealing with our claim. She also helped to ensure that our property was secured before the end of our working day.

I am still awaiting a call back to see if my claim in late April for repairs to wind-damaged roof cladding will be accepted. The assessor came round promptly (within the week) and then there has been absolutely nothing, despite chasing. Wind and rain since then is making me deeply concerned the damage will get more extensive as time goes by and I can’t get a builder to repair the roof if I do not know the outcome of the claim. This is negligence.

I have been liaising with Gemma Ford on behalf of my father who suffered upsetting damage to his home after a significant storm in November 2023. Her communication, reassurance and professionalism have been excellent at every stage of the process. Despite frustrating delays in being able to get quotes due to the huge workload of builders in the area, she has maintained regular contact and reassured me that we would get the issues sorted. Too often these days one is passed from pillar to post, trying desperately to speak to the same person twice. Having Gemma as our sole contact made a challenging situation as good as it could possibly be. Many many thanks Gemma - your high standards have been greatly appreciated.
Cant fault this company especially John Arundale who was nothing short of excellent. The Glass company they used from Swansea, in particular Chris were spot on. Together they sorted our our problem swiftly with courtesy and understanding - top marks all round.
Assessor came out to look at the storm damage on my shared roof, 17 residents share the roof. Assesor used a drone to examine the roof and then came to the conclusion the storm damage was wear and tear.
HRNL tried to tell me the temp repair patches on the roof had been done over a period of time despite me showing them the two temp repair invoices that I have paid to a roofing company who did the temp repairs to prevent any further damage. HRNL also say the roof was fitted incorrectly and that 1 part of the flashing that was rustly had caused the entire roof to fail.

After being informed of my claim being refused by a very snooty person from HRNL I contacted my inurance company and forwarded comfimation of two other owners in the building whos claim had been paid out in full and been classed as storm damage 100%.
Eventually got paid out with compensation by Direct Line, would suggest everyone avoids this company.
Everything was done as described and at the time specified. Materials were ordered and work completed to a good standard. Friendly service.

As I want this review to have maximum impact, its relative brevity (without going into all the ins / outs) is meant to convey just how bad my experience was. PLEASE, if you can, have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with HRNL, and / or think CAREFULLY about using insurers who use HRNL in respect of claims for roof damage. But if you've no option but to use them, upfront, check and verify the ACTUAL qualifications / experience of the people they send before you even start. Do PLEASE take heed of all the negative reviews, which similarly echo my stressful and unsatisfactory experiences with this company and its representatives.

Customer service and communication were excellent. Dealing with storm damage to our security of our home, dealt with Nathan and from start to finish his customer service was excellent. He always kept me updated through great communication by email and phone. Would recommend this company for sure. Staff are an excellent asset in any business and he is a certainly a great representative of the firm.

After an initial breakdown in communication, my storm damage claim was handled by Nathan P in a positive and efficient manner. Once settlement was agreed, payment was quickly made by bank transfer.

I put a claim in to my Halifax Home Insurance in February after the storm, and advised by Halifax to use my home emergency for temporary fix which I did. HRNL surveyor did a "desktop" survey two weeks later, he then lied on his report saying that he had met with myself and my husband at the property. Said there is no storm damage and the roof would not be covered. After several complaints and them finding out their surveyor had lied they sent one out, who said, can't see any storm damage. Well of course there wouldn't be as we had had a temporary repair. Was told if I could get a copy of the home emergency report they would look at it and see if the roof is covered. Sent it through to them. Called them up 7 weeks later to be told they had contacted the emergency roofer to ask for photos of the pre-fix damage. I said I don't think that they took photos but was unsure. Halifax then call me this morning to say that HRNL had asked me to provide further evidence for my claim to which I have refused. Absolute utter lie, they told me they had contacted the builder and requested photos. We have been with Halifax for years and never put a claim in. As soon as this claim has been completed we will be moving insurers, but I will be making sure that the new insurers to not use this company. Absolutely disgusted with the lies this company has told on not one but at least two occasions for the same claim
