We were treated really well, and there was no pressure put upon us to purchase, although we did! Gillian in the HSL Maidstone branch helped us enormously.

Charlotte and Ken from Maidstone branch came to our home and were so friendly and explained everything in detail. Could not have asked for more.

One week out of nursing home with a fractured pelvis I needed a good reclining chair with adjustable footrest to help recover. HSL provided a very informative home visit to try the chair which I picked from a huge catalogue, gave me good advice on my choice, immaculate paperwork, good communications and quick delivery. Highly recommended.

The Maidstone showroom experience on 5/6/25 was expertly managed by Sue and the chair delivery on 10/6/25 was seamlessly carried out by Wayne and Andy. I have now had 8 days experience of what is probably the most comfortable chair I have ever owned.

We saw the HSL factory on the 'Inside the Factory' TV program and were impressed with their passion & build quality ethos. When we came to move house we visited our local showroom and the lovely lady showed us everything that suited our requirements, so we sat down and picked the right sofa colour to go with our future living room colour, picked the leg colour and went ahead with our order. We were told it could be up to six weeks but we had a nice phone call to say it would be earlier and so the delivery guys came this morning and set them both up where we wanted. Amazing quality & amazing service, so five stars from us!

So impressed with HSL having applied for a brochure this was received following day. I subsequently requested a home visit and within the same week three delightful Comfort Specialists namely Charlotte,Graham and Jayden were here on my doorstep. There was absolutely no pressure for me to buy but with their help and indeed much patience I chose a chair suited to my size and frame followed by a choice in fabrics so easy when you have someone with experience to help. My choice made I am really looking forward to receiving delivery when I can relax in comfort. Big thank you to Charlotte,Graham and Jayden so nice to have met you warm regards Shirley.

We were visited by Charlotte and Graham from the Maidstone branch on the 28th May who superbly demonstrated the Burrows Relax Petite riser / recliner. The chair was delivered five days later.

We were greeted by a lovely lady called Gill who really looked after my Dad and gave him lots of advice. Excellent customer service and the tea and biscuits were very much appreciated. My dad didn’t hesitate to make a purchase and is looking forward to delivery. Would definitely recommend.

Having previously bought our lounge furniture from HSL, which we are absolutely thrilled with, there really was no other place to visit when we needed an extra armchair. As before, we were warmly welcomed to the store and assistance was on hand if and when we needed it. Louise was very
professional, kind, knowledgeable and patient. Once we had chosen the style of armchair, then came the exciting moment to select the fabric. Again, Louise and a colleague were very helpful with this.
HSL is a fantastic company which makes beautiful, quality furniture and their customer service is spot on.

Saffron was very knowledgeable about the furniture and helped us decide what was best for us. She also made us a coffee!

The whole experience was very enjoyable from the moment we walked into the showroom . We were greeted by Saffron who guided us through the process of choosing the correct chair and was there to help when appropriate . There was no rush to make decisions and the paperwork was dealt with efficiently without feeling too official or overwhelming . So lovely to be able to purchase something manufactured in Yorkshire from a family run company .Saffron should be highly commended for her friendly and efficient service to customers .

Louise at the Maidstone store was helpful and friendly when my daughter and I were in store choosing a chair and bed for my mum . She made us a cup of tea and gave us all the information we needed whilst also giving us plenty of time to try them out and have our own discussions . We needed quick delivery and were pleased with the Express options .
Our delivery team of Jack and Martin delivered efficiently and happily , with great communication beforehand . They tested the chair and bed and took us through the essential information .
All three people above are a credit to HSL .
My mum will be coming home next week and I hope she’s as thrilled with the items as we are with the service .

Jack & Martin were both helpful working above and beyond their normal work. They were respectful of our property, ourselves and made sure we understood the operation of our purchases. These two key workers are a credit to HSL.

The visit to the care home by Charlotte and Graham on the 28th March 2025,where they showed mum the chairs, explained the process and she test drove one :-)

The speed of delivery, the chair was expertly delivered by Edwin and Garry having used the express service on the 2nd April 2025.

Thank you so much HSL -mum was so worried about the expense but you get what you pay for and the benefits are superb -mum is really enjoying the comfy chair and the fact it is movable means I can angle her to watch garden concerts if she cant make it out.

Mums real concerns were the time to deliver and you certainly did deliver on that.
