Decent experience, spoiled by the underhand money grabbing tactics...
As some others have stated in the reviews, they try and catch you out by sneaking in paid "extras". Mrs had her flying experience all pre-booked and paid for by me, clearly opting out from any extras. But once she was in the middle of her experience (fan blowing, helmet on) apparently she was asked and claims she accepted to have a high-flying, which is basically going up 10m in the airbin the middle of her 30s flight. On the way out you then get stopped on the pretence of issuing you a "certificate" and will be told "by the way you owe us £15". It was quite clear that the front desk staff has been "trained" to do this.
It's a shame they have to do this, left with the feeling of being tricked. Otherwise this is a very decent experience.
Awful customer service, money grabbing
After visiting iFLY and spending over £150 with my family, I purchased a £100 voucher, after this I got pregnant and couldn’t fly, I emailed to ask for an extension due to the circumstances, no reply. After complications with the birth, the doctors advised me not to do a lot of things for many months, once I made a full recovery and the doctors gave me the all clear, I emailed iFLY once more, no reply. I emailed 3 more times, I finally got a reply, and they responded ‘As a gesture of goodwill, I would like to offer you a 50% discount on any of our return packages’ - They wanted me to spend even more money. Awful customer service.
At the MK iFLY 👍
Well I have a great morning out at Milton Keynes iFLY -The staff very polite, very helpful, very professional
Specially large thank you to the instructor Steve - you are just awesome
Thank you all iFLY team you are worth more than 5***** raiting xxx
"I had a terrible experience
"I had a terrible experience. I do not recommend it to anyone. The staff was indifferent. I politely asked to be given a smaller-sized suit because I couldn't even walk properly in the one provided. The instructor, who was also indifferent, simply said no, even though all other participants were dressed appropriately according to their sizes. My Husband tried to talk to them, but we were still told no. They are only hungry for money and don't care about anything else."
This should effectively convey your dissatisfaction and the issues you faced.
At the O2
At the O2. Sam the instructor was calm and attentive under time pressure (including the time to ensure people were comfortably kitted out) and doing his parrot routine every 30 minutes!! A lot of the negative experiences reported by others should be considered - the booking system and confirmation system is very clunky - I suspect that telephone access may not always be easy. Yes they just give you two short 'flights' and if you want to go up the tube that's plus £20 a pop. But as an experience, its different and can lead you into other things. It's like a lot of physical experiences - it takes some time to get coordinated - but on our session you could see kids and adults go from discombobulated wabblers to relatively stable flyers in the short intro. Yes its a busy production line - don't screw up on getting there on time!
They owe me £155, scam
Rubbish, don’t waste your money. Awful manager at reception. They owe me £155 which they won’t refund, scam
Not worth it!
They say the flight time is equivalent to 3 free falls. They should just say that each of your 2 flights last one minute. Then if you opt for the high flight at an extra cost, this is not additional flight time but instead of. Their instructors are friendly enough but I presume this is their tactic to extort money from customers for extras and future "discounted" flights. Honestly we spent more time putting on the equipment than we did in the air. IFLY need to review their practices if they want repeat customers.
Steeling time, scummy business practice
There is no time added when flyers are changing, instructor was pulling out my son 5-7 seconds before already tiny time of 80 seconds where passed, they literally stealing money as instead of purchased fly time of 4 minutes my son only got 3:41, 19 seconds where stollen for no reason, but to steal few pounds from every flyer. This I call scummy business practice

I’ve now sent 2 emails and a live chat without any response, subject being a voucher which has just expired, All I ask is, could the voucher be extended.. dreadful customer support!!
Scam
Scam: from adding items automatically at checkout to actually just ‘flying’ for a minute to wanting extra to ‘actually’ fly up, to scamming children out of the very little time they should actually get! it’s an absolute money-grabbing daylight con! We drove hours to get there and paid extortionate parking to be greeted with poor organisation and coms, which ultimately didn’t even allow us to enjoy the 5 minutes of flying our 4 children got (in total!!!) as had to frantically run up and down to clarify their mess up. Avoid!!!
Was a really good day
Was a really good day.
Bought my 2 sons the experience for Christmas using a black Friday deal and we went to Milton Keynes.
Slightly disappointed that other sessions ran late so we were not allowed to add on an extra flight with vr but on hindsight maybe I could of booked that before the day so I'll still award 5 stars.
As the experience was only 2 flights maybe I wouldn't pay full price for it.
But as an extra christmas treat my lads really enjoyed it.
Harry was fantastic with everyone and a good day was had by all.
Make sure your exactly 45 mins early…
Make sure your exactly 45 mins early otherwise you are refused entry and not offered any form of refund was offered to come back in 5.5 hours time but as we don't live in London we cant wait around for that long . This was a Christmas present which has now be ruined .
Ugly hidden charges and inconvenient to remove
Pay careful attention when you book, as many of the optional extras are automatically added to your checkout unless you explicitly remove them. You also can't remove them from the checkout page, you have to go back, and then they'll erase all of your progress filling out your personal details so you'll have to do it all over again :)). Also a £3 hidden charge at the end.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. We booked for a group, but upon taking part in the waiver, we found out that one of the group is unable to take part as they exceed the weight limit. We called customer service, but were told that they are unable to offer a refund, even though it is their policy that has excluded one of our group. I expect much better than this kind of opportunistic money-grabbing. Disgraceful.
What a scam!
What a scam!
You might as well take your money to 10000feet and throw it out the window.
From the minute you login to the site, they are trying to upsell you with everything. Adding things into your cart, without your knowledge. The experience last for 45seconds and is quite disappointing.
Really a waste of money.
Owners should be hung!
Great experience!
I visited the Manchester site on Monday and had a brilliant experience. Our group was made up of young children and adults and Connal, our Instructor, was calm, engaging, and encouraging to us all. Glad I chose to do the "high fly" as the feeling of flying up and down was amazing. You need to wait your turn while everyone else has a go, but it lets you see what to do/what not to do. And if you repeat visit within 6 months I think you can get it for nearly half price. Pity I'm in Glasgow.
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE
I had the most perfect experience. My partner booked this for my birthday the person we spoke to on the phone did her best and got us the discounted valentine's deal.. our host was ARRON at the Milton Keynes venue... And he was absolutely brilliant! He had a great personality, he was extremely professional and personally I felt that he was also very professional the way he handled 'women' during the experience... overall I will highly recommend ifly for the experience and the way I was treated... I truly felt special on my birthday and I owe that all done to my host ARRON...
Avoid
Extremely rude and sarcastic receptionist no people skills at all spoiled the whole experience, as the instructor was very professional and polite although they spend the whole time trying to sell you extras (o2 London)

I paid £168 for both my children’s birthday experience including the extra height flying at £10 each. The website states that you’ll be onsite for 90 minutes, it doesn’t state that you’ll be flying for 6 minutes each including the extra £10 to flying higher. They sat longer watching people experience the VR package than actual flying. Complete scan, the instructors were lovely but that was it! Save your money!
I had expected to fly but not into a door frame!
My daughter bought me a voucher for my birthday and I was quite excited about going.
I booked my flight on line, watched the training video and completed the on-line waiver (which you don’t receive a copy of by the way).
My daughter had paid for three flights but I only completed one. The reason for this was because upon exiting the wind tunnel I fell. I’m not quite sure how this occurred but I struck my arm against a metal door frame opposite the exit and broke the humerus of my left arm. The door frame had obviously been identified as a hazard because it had been covered in black & yellow tape but no foam padding.
After the accident, I had to sit in agony whilst an accident report was completed. At no point was I offered an ambulance but my son-in-law was with me and drove me to the local hospital.
Some time after the accident I was advised to put in a personal injury claim against iFly. This failed because iFly issued a denial of liability hiding behind the waiver which seems to protect them against all and any claims.
I did sign a waiver as they won't let you do the activity without it and to be fair, if I had injured myself during the actual flight (dislocated shoulder for example) I would not have made a claim but, I still had the right to be kept safe whilst on their premises and wouldn’t have reasonably expected to be injured getting out of the wind tunnel.
I would also point out that; although I watched the videos on line, I went for the flight a few weeks after and they didn’t give any refresher training on the day and at no time were we warned that there was a trip hazard upon exiting the wind tunnel.
Over a year on I still have pain in that arm and have not regained the full range of movement.
I had expected to fly but not into a door frame!
