Genuine baratza article

Genuine baratza article, unbelievably fast shipping, ordered on a friday night with the free delivery option, and it was shipped out saturday morning first thing with DPD so I got it monday morning

Was more than 20% cheaper than Amazon, about the same price as direct from the importer but with free shipping and a selection of tasty coffee to buy with it

Can't rate K+ more highly!

Not helpful with faulty product, then suggested I was the one being unreasonable

Initially rated 2 stars due to me having to explain the consumer rights act to them over multiple emails before they would resolve an issue with an item that I ordered.

Their response was to make factually inaccurate statements, suggesting that I was the one at fault. Despite me pointing these out to them (email 20:51 01/05), they have chose not to correct their comments, and not to follow up on their vitriolic assertion that they will “update on here when they here back from fellow”.

Their customer service in dealing with the faulty product was poor. Their behaviour in the follow up had been appalling. I would not deal with this company again if they were the last people stocking something that I wanted.

Edit to add:
After 1 more email K+ did provide me a return label, and I was refunded the day after it arrived back with them.

This second part of the process was fine, but I stand by my initial frustration at having to exchange 5 emails and wait ~1.5 weeks from the first email saying “my 40 day old £200 grinder has broken” to having a refund.

Bought a fellow opus from K+, which packed up 40-something days after purchase.

Considering all of the positive comments here about their customer services I hoped they’d sort it out with a quick email, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

They kept trying to push me towards fellow to resolve the issue, and repeatedly told me that they wouldn’t offer a refund being as it was outside of the 30 day window. It was only after 4 emails and me explaining the consumer rights act to them that they actually agreed to take the grinder back.

Even after that I’m still waiting for a response to get a shipping label, and have been told I’ll be waiting for ~3 weeks with no grinder.

Not the experience I was hoping for when spending £200 on anything.

Edit to add - their statement below of “we are waiting for your response” is quite simply not true

Update 1st May 2024:

When the customer first got in touch on Saturday (before we closed), we have already explianed to him that we will arrange a free collection to take back the grinder and issue a full refund out of goodwill, even if it's not eligible due to being outside the 30 days return window (complies with the Consumer Rights Act.)

Our customer service was closed on Saturday 3pm and his last email was at around 4pm, and he's left the negative review at midnight due to no response. Upon checking his emails on Monday, he has refused the free collection and asked for a return label instead, and a return label was arranged for him the same day, we received the grinder back a week later and a full refund is issue.

The grinder is now with Fellow under invetigation for verifying the fault, because the customer has refused to seek techinical support with Fellow, and we will update on here once we hear back from Fellow to see if the fault is due to misuse.

We have looked through the email communications, you have first contacted us yesterday (Saturday 20th April 2024) and we have replied to all your messages within an hour, we have asked you to contact Fellow for technical support first to resolve the issue (they usually replies within a day if not sooner), which you have refused.

We have explained that in most cases, the grinder faults are developed due to misuse, and these issues can often be resolved quickly by contacting the manufacturer for technical support, and they will arrange for a repair or replacement where nessesary, but again, this advice was refused by you.

Consumer Act has stated that in the first 30 days after purchase, you have the right to reject the goods. After 30 days, you are not legally entitled to a full refund, but you can ask the retailer to replace or repair the good that don’t meet the criteria. The consumer Act also stated that you won’t have any legal rights if the product was damaged by wear and tear, an accident or misuse.

The grinder was bought on 1st March 2024, and have been in use for almost two months, we have a 30 days refund policy which complies to the Consumer Act, and this period clearly has passed.

Nevertheless, we have then offered to arrange a free collection of the product, so that we can investigate/confirm the fault before we proceed to a full refund, we have mentioned the whole process takes around 14 working days, and we are still waiting for your response.

We have always been proud of our outstanding customer service, which shows in our Trustpilot scores, written by our genuine happy customers.

We continue to wait for your response.

Good clear advice and reassurance.

Good clear advice and reassurance over the phone. Order was easy to place and communication was great. I ordered a little late for next day delivery but the item was with me by noon the following day. The courier (DPD) was very efficient too.

I recently bought a Comandante C40 grinder and a bag of light-roasted coffee beans from K+ Coffee.

I was impressed with the speed at which the K+ coffee team dispatched my order. They were incredibly helpful, proactive, and checked every detail with me. I received everything safely and in perfect condition.

I am very pleased with my purchase and the overall experience was A*.
