Top notch online optician with excellent prices and customer service
I have been very impressed by Internetspecs. First and foremost, the product is very good. I have purchased two pairs of glasses and had a frame of my own glazed all to a high standard. The lenses used in my opinion are optically very good (1.67 Clean & Clear AR); whilst they could be characterised as "budget", they don't seem to differ significantly in brightness or sharpness from the Zeiss lenses I have in another of my frames.
Customer service has been excellent with phone calls to clarify ambiguities and to provide updates on progress. Delivery has been within my expectations.
Something I would like to note is how much I like the website as it is refreshing concise,straight forward and easy to navigate.

After 3 weeks still no date for glasses
The owner Mark is very helpful and always calls back but after almost 3 weeks I couldn't wait any longer for glasses. I called and he said you might have them at the end of next week, but I can't promise. I went back to my Optician and had them within 7 days.

Thank you for your nice words about our retired optometrist, Mark.
Our recollection of your order is slightly different. At the start of the order you requested that we send you the frame to see if it was suitable and so we sent it to you. You were happy with the frame but chose a different colour, so we then ordered a new frame in your chosen colour from the frame manufacturer. We then sent your chosen frame to the prescription house to get your lenses fitted.
We mention on our website that delivery to addresses in the UK usually takes between 5 and 10 working days. As we have many frames on our website, we sometimes need to order frames from the manufacturer. We then need to post the frame to the prescription house to have the lenses fitted. The ’10 working days’ helps us allow for these extra steps in our process. As your lenses order required prisms, Mark contacted you to let you know that your order would take longer than usual as the lenses needed to be specially cut, (known as ‘surfaced’ lenses). From the time that you decided to change the colour of the frame to the day that you cancelled your order, it was actually still well within the ’10 working days’. When Mark called you again (on a Friday) and you decided to cancel for a full refund, he said that we hoped to have the completed glasses back from the prescription house by the end of the next week, but he couldn’t promise. As it turned out, they came back to us a bit earlier than we expected, on the Wednesday.
We understand that waiting for glasses can be frustrating. We’re sorry you decided to cancel and wish you well with your glasses choices in the future.

Mark was just fantastic
Mark was just fantastic! I put in a query and he rang me back really quickly. He advised me what glasses to get my dad based on his prescription and was very honest explaining what would be best for him.
He reminds me of how optometrists used to be when they cared about their patients rather than now when they try and upsell everything possible.
He also rang me back quickly after I ordered to update me.
Really really impressed and will be ordering glasses for both my parents through this site only from now on!

Absolutely brilliant company to deal…
Absolutely brilliant company to deal with. I have used a few times now and always great to deal with. Company is run by father and son, Mark and Iain. Spoken to them both about lenses and frames and really friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Nothing too much trouble. I wanted to order an LK Bennett frame which unfortunately has been discontinued. Mark sourced one from another brand and sent to me to look at with no obligation. It was more or less identical so went ahead with the order. I am very happy with my new glasses as always. I won’t be going anywhere else in the future for further new glasses. So thank you so much Mark and Iain.
Ps The pen they send with each new pair is also a really nice touch. I’m building up a collection!

Consistently good service
I've used Internet Specs several times for reglazes as well as buying new frames. It's a small family-run company and Mark is very knowledgeable & always happy to help. Lenses are good quality at a low price. On this occasion I had a problem with a new frame (entirely my own fault) but Mark was happy for me to return it & give a refund. I will continue to use them.
