Smooth online marketplace

I’ve used Jiji Nigeria multiple times to buy and sell stuff in Lagos. Posting ads is free and quick, and I usually get calls from buyers within hours. The chat feature makes negotiation easy. Just be smart - meet in public places and inspect items well. Although customer support sometimes takes time to resolve issues. Overall, solid platform for online classifieds in Nigeria.

Control your vendors

Jiji itself is great, but they need to do more to to control the vendors and their excesses, I got a threadmill from this guy who refused to let me claim warranty even though the product came with a 2 years warranty.

LESSON: DON'T PAY FOR JIJI PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION

ADAM WILL FRUSTRATE YOU!!!

Based on our most recent experience using jiji Nigeria, which was pleasant while we used the free 5 ads until we paid for VIP Gold Premium Subscription for 3months - BIGGEST MISTAKE!
Suddenly, multiple our ads were decline for all the flimsiest reasons in their rule book.

Our STEW ads was declined because it is said to be a duplicate of a OFADA RICE ads.

Adam on jiji support, some dude playing god of ads approval, keep claiming that we are breaking jiji ads rule simply because our ads are not uniquely worded to his satisfaction - which he couldn't clarify.

In other words, each word in a 70 characters Title and 800 characters ads description, must meets his peculiar standards and satisfaction, which he failed to articulate or communicate so that we could even try to meet it.

This is our 3rd frustrating experience with this Adam jiji support fellow.

He never failed to remind us at every point that subscribing for premium doesn't mean we should break rule which he has still refused to established that we indeed broken any rule(s).

More than any support he has provided in resolving the issue, he never misses any opportunity to remind us that the 1 mistake we did was paying for jiji VIP Gold Premium Subscription.

Well, I agree with him and have only asked that since we cannot cancel our subscription, he should help resolve the issue while we promise that we will never repeat the mistake of subscribing for premium again.

My advise is, stick with JIJI FREE 5 Basic Ads if you cherish peace of mind. If you are bored and need an extra stress in your day, perhaps you could pay for the frustration that comes with paying for jiji premium cos Adam at jiji support will never disappoint.

imagine a scrap asphalt paver going for 50m. ppl should not be allowed to come and give prices that are outrageous for a scrap.

Read Before Paying for Jiji Premium Subscription

After trying for almost 1 month to resolve the issue with jiji's support (Kemi and Temitope) and our account manager (Emmanuel) and not made any singular progress, to the point where our account manager stopped calling us, we have been left with no other option than to express our frustration online.

We paid for 3 months premium subscription and since paying, we have not been able to upload any advert on jiji as all our adverts are auto-declined, regardless of what we advertised.

The reasons given makes no sense as it says that the description is not related to the title. We have changed this over 30 times, and even used the same title as the description, and still the same thing.

Now, the new excuse is that we posted prohibited contents, when none of our adverts were on their prohibited list.

Given that they have not been able to allow us to post any adverts and we are almost 1 month into the 3 months premium subscription, we have requested to have a refund and still, they are refusing to oblige.

We have asked that the subscription be temporarily suspended till they are able to resolve the issue with our account and still, nothing.

We believe that it is reasonable that jiji refunds us, if they are unable to deliver the services paid for.

It is obvious that we will never attempt using jiji's paid subscription in the future, however, given that they have refused to refund, or suspend, or even fix the issue for weeks, despite emails, and calls and chats, we have no other option than to advise others to understand that this is not a bug but a feature in the jiji premium subscription services.

As a business, looking to advertise on classified platforms, it's important to be aware so that you can make an informed decision.

We remain open to resolving this issue with jiji at the earliest.

Jiji is the most useless platform I ever come across. I will advise their users to keep it with their free package.
If you subscribe there will be no response on all there handles, no phone number to call.
I give them 24 hrs to update my payment or refund otherwise VDM will hear about them.

As a first-time buyer, I cannot caution future customers enough: BEWARE! This company operates on the very sleazy edge of legitimacy: they promise great service but just end up jerking you around with AI responses that provide no resolution at all. I've asked numerous times for either a refund or the rest of the merchandise--they've just blown me off!

Jiji is terrible

Jiji is terrible. It is hard to know whether one is dealing with Jiji Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, etc. I put some items for sale they took Kshs 1,600 + 4000. Soon after they closed the adverts because customers could not reach me. Customer service is unresponsive. Jiji has a robot customer service agent (AI) that seems to understand issues. Nobody cares to reply to inquiries but are very fast in taking money. Jiji needs a serious competitor, especially one that is great in customer service. Jiji has no clue what customer service is.
