Jims is an independent family owned retailer established since 1984 and online since 2000. Developing a large customer base both online and in-store has allowed us to expand the business by opening 4 stores across Cornwall. We pride ourselves in providing good old fashioned service whilst specialising in a vast range of products, from Fishing Tackle to Art Materials, DIY to Homewares. I very rarely leave a review - usually only when something is either rubbish or exceptional. Thankfully, this is the latter with Jim’s. My customer service experience was top‑class, and Jamie definitely went above and beyond. Wish we had more businesses like this!
I bought a fishing rod and sadly the rod tip broke after a few weeks. However Jamie was extremely generous and helpful, he sent a new rod tip out to me. Fantastic customer service and quick delivery

Visited a few days ago. ( redruth ) To buy fishing gear.
They have a massive stock but sadly 90% of it isn't on display.
Although the staff were great and more than helpful and happy to get whatever I wanted from the back it is nice just to pick things up when browsing.
Was there a good hour + buying different items i spent around £300 but probably would have spent double that if I could have walked around and just pick things up.

Arrived at 3:58pm, entered the shop to be told in all admonished tone "We're closed". Walked away and turned around to see another person, arriving just before supposed closing time, being allowed in. I assume they contested the fact they'd closed early. Poor service, Jim's Redruth.

Sorry that you have had this experience. I will be looking into this further. Even though we do shut the shop at 4:00PM they should of not declined you inside the premises at that time you have stated this will be passed to management. I can only hope your next visit in the future will be a much better experience than this one.
Order two Fishing rods online on 5th of June and paid 48 hours £31 on top to get them quicker , unfortunately 5 days later still not received my order, call them, the phone line was divided to 5 shops ,but not online customer line. Scam!!!

Sorry that you have had this experience. Our phone line is split up into 6 call areas 4 lines are for our shops 1 is for our accounts department and the last is for our mail order department where we could help this situation. I would advise emailing as it is our best place for contact and we should be able to help you further I can assure you we are not a scam and are willing to help if you let us know.
Superb service. I was let down by an online store when ordering Spitfire .177 pellets. A request to Jims for a quick supply and no problem at all, recieved them in 48hrs as promised 😀. I will be ordering more in 2 weeks. Thank you.
