We had been to the store at least three times in a row.... during the closing sale. The greatest Asset in that store is Corine... highly resolute, always willing to travel extra miles, she is incredibly positive, helpful, cheerful... All great qualities.

• Indra or i am not sure she has an Asian Indian name i told the cashier extremely helpful person. Good qualities as a manager/leader

Major problems ordering on line

I would give one star for online orders, however. I am sorry that Joanne's is having financial problems, but it is their fault. Many of their prices are ridiculous unless you have a coupon, and then you can use most coupons only on regular priced items which they avoid by putting almost everything “on sale”. The other thing is that our local store is very disorganized and messy and items are often out of stock. The clerks are very nice, but they are understaffed. ON LINE ORDERS are a major problem. They have fabric and other items listed for sale on line, but when you order them for delivery, you find out several days later that they are “out of stock”, even though they are still listed as available on the website. They send the orders piecemeal, and that must be a waste of money. This is an area where the company needs revision and good management. It is better when you order items to be picked up at your local store, but then the in stock items are more limited. This company needs much better management. I do not like Hobby Lobby at all, so I hope Joann's can get their act together. We need their services!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

After a disastrous online experience last Christmas, this year, I tried shopping in person 5 times. The first time, they had patterns on sale but few patterns in stock. One drawer, with current pattern book numbers, was completely empty. I left.
On a 3rd trip, stock was very low for notions. I got bought some fabric and an ornament.
Trip #4, I bought more fabric and tried to return the ornament. The cashier was only going to give me 87 or 97 cents for something I paid over $7 for. I complained to management and they raised it to10% less than what I paid.
Trip #5 was today. I went in for some D rings and picked up a few more items. I WAS going to buy much more but then I saw the lines. ONE person cutting fabric and ONE person at cash. With NINETEEN people waiting in line. I left. I spoke to people as they left the store. NO ONE was happy. One woman said she had 3 pieces of fabric and it took her 90 minutes in store. Many wouldn't say anything except that they had been there for a very long time. In the 10 minutes I have been here writing, I have counted 9 people walking out empty handed and disgruntled. No wonder Joann is having trouble. Peeve off your customers and you lose sales. Oh, there goes another with no purchase. And another. That's 12 including me. People don't go to a fabric store just to browse! Get it together Joann. 😡

Item Not Available..

I ordered some curtain lining fabric, and they cancelled the order, because it was not available. First of all, why have items that aren't available, to order? I received an email, that it was cancelled shortly after ordering, and now I have to wait to get the credit to my account? It should be immediately. Last time ordering..

The worst company to order online from…

The worst company to order online from within the past year. I am unsure what has happened, but I have had countless orders cancelled for ship to home. My latest order is pending to my card but has no trace in my account’s “orders” tab and I never received a confirmation email with my order. Yet I have a screenshot of my order with order number. So frustrating. And when your order does (if it does) come, it will come in 5 different packages because they ship from stores, not a warehouse.

poor management

Drove 30 minutes for a pickup, however we were informed the product was not in stock. The manager was confused about her inventory, the location of the product I was looking for and generally ill-informed. The clerk I spoke to was rude and also very ill-informed. Do better JOANN Fabrics and Crafts. You lost my business.

Very disappointed

I shopped on 4-19-2024 spent $80 couldn’t find my coupon. The girls said bring the receipt back they would honor it. I went back on for 4-21-2024 Manager manager, who was probably 12 years old, told me he could not do that so he rung up my new order gave me the 20% off I said, but you didn’t take my coupon. He said I don’t need it. I said well why couldn’t the girl the other day do that she doesn’t have the authority that I do, only I can do it like he was God and he wasn’t even nice about it. He was like snooty and when I was shopping because it was Sunday, he went around the store and he was collecting the sale signs and he just about went across my face to grab the one near me didn’t say excuse me or anything he shouldn’t be there and we wonder why you’re in bankruptcy people don’t want to come back after that and Michael’s is literally right across the street. It’s a shame.

Items I purchased were rung up…incorrectly and not addressed

Items I purchased were rung up incorrectly, I took receipt into the store to show them what had happened . I was correct . They insisted, even though shown, that they were correct. I did not “yell” but my tone was frustrated . After showing them several times how they added in my $5.00 coupon as a purchase they still insisted they were correct. The clerk hit the register with her fist . Told me she was done talking to me and that I was rude . She kicked a shopping cart as she stalked away. Telling me it was my fault that no one wants to work retail . ( I work retail .) Horrible customer service ! Add this situation to a messy store, Bolts falling off the shelves . Heavy extension cords lying random in customers walking paths. Also, the latter was brought to corporate attention with no response. Customer service is a thing of the past I’m afraid ,

No Hassel Return

My wife had a fabric cut and then realized it didn't go with her quilt. She returned the fabric and bought a less expensive one she liked. In and out of the store in five minutes. Great service

Sneak Attack

I had a project that I may (or may not) have needed to complete before this weekend that I needed a sewing machine with some embroidery capabilities. I went on line, found a machine, signed up for emails to receive a discount on my first order, then decided to go to the store instead since I was traveling and would go near one.

I found a machine at the store, told the clerk that I may end-up returning it if my project fell through. She said fine, just don't open it.

She said the discount for online wouldn't apply.

I found another discount for "in the store" that didn't apply to machines, and ended up paying the full price for the machine.

I brought it back 2 days later, unopened, and was hit with a $25 restocking fee!

There were no signs indicating restocking fees online, nor in the store. The clerk never said anything about a restocking fee and when I asked how I was supposed to know there was a fee, the returning-clerk pointed out the small print on the receipt! She asked the manager who said there was nothing she could do about it.

So the only way you know there's a restocking fee is if you first buy it so you can read the receipt!!!

Baaaaad Business!!!

I placed an order on Nov 19th today is Dec 16th!

I placed an order on Nov. 19, 2023 for items to make a Christmas gift I was going to give someone early. One half of my order was received in a timely manner and the other half I never received. Checking daily (only way to check on the order is through an email they sent stating one half shipped!!!!) the other half continually stated "processing". This morning I checked again for umpteenth time and it said cancelled!!!! I still have not received any communication from them stating it was cancelled nor has the amount been put back on my credit card! I love Joann products but never again will I purchase anything from them online or in store. Just plain bad business!!! I'm glad I went ahead and purchased these items elsewhere to finish and give the gift when I planned otherwise I'd still be waiting and wasted A LOT of money!! Bad Business Joann, you should have at least enough respect for your customers to let them know you cancelled an order someone has been waiting for for a MONTH!!!

Joann Fabrics has the very worst customer service for online shopping I have ever encountered. They are never are able to complete a online order…and they leave pending charges on my credit card account an extremely long time. I have tried to call their customer service line but they refer you to their email account and they do not respond. I caution using online ordering it will leave you disgusted with the company.

NO service in McHenry

I went to the McHenry, IL store today, and when I tried to check out there was a another customer waiting and pacing back and forth. She ended up walking out. I saw the call button so I pressed it and heard the call. I waited and no one came! I left the merchandise on the counter and walked out. I will not be back.
One star is too good for this store! They are worse than a zero! No wonder the store was so empty of customers!
I went, and will now always go to Hobby Lobby.

The worst customer service EVER !!

I recently placed an order with Joanne’s for 10 meters of fabric. I have a small business. I placed the order and received a confirmation. I haven’t received any shipping confirmation. I checked my order detail on my account and it says the order has been cancelled.
They have taken the money. They remembered to do that ! I stupidly gave this company a second chance after completely messing up my last order.
Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They won’t reply to me. They really don’t care. I won’t get an apology. I’ll now have to cancel the customers orders that have been placed and battle with them to get my money back.
I’m SO angry that businesses can treat customers with such disrespect.

WARNING: on line fabric will come in pieces!

I ordered 3 yards of $34.99 a yard fabric and it came in two pieces!!!!!!!!!!! No warning, no notice anywhere in the order process. I would not have ordered it! I called the customer service number only to get an OUT of COUNTRY woman who was rude, kept calling me "sir". All she could say is this information is located in the shipping information at the bottom of the website page. This is a stupid place to have such information. It absolutely should be where it is actually read and seen! Sending such expensive fabric in two pieces is showing the disregard for the consumer and only interest in profit as they don't want to be left with pieces of such an expensive product!

Excellent shipping with the on-line ordering. Have placed two orders with Jo-Ann Fabrics recently and have had both delivered quickly and with correct items.
The most recent order was ordered on Jan 21 and delivered on Jan 24. Very pleased with their service!!

This store in Allentown,PA has some of the most nastiest people working for them! They advertise coupons and sales but do not want to honor them, Give you a hard time about it! The employee accused My friend and I wrecking the clearance section and that we were stealing! Although she did not confront us, she just rudely , express herself to a co worker! So I put everything item back from shopping cart! They advertise for craft classes! LMBO ! Love to know how one them will be with rude , not knowledgeable , not helpful people teaching them! And last but not least they don’t know how to do simple arithmetic to sell material! Plus they don’t want to give clearance price that was on it , for it!

Covid Capable In Store Shopping

In this day and age - there are only a couple stores that you absolutely must go to to get your item - in my opinion, the fabric store is one of them. Went to the store in Grand Island, NE and absolutely loved the obvious social distancing practiced by the staff - which in turn is then practiced by the customers. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and have wonderful suggestions. This store was worth the trip, and I didn't have that horrible feeling of being too close to too many people - in fact, this is one of the first shopping experiences since Covid lockdown that I walked away from feeling comfortable.
