What an absolutely unforgettable experience! I already had high expectations for this 4 day-3 nights Amazon survival trip, but it turned out to be even better than I imagined. My guide Kenrick was incredible, his knowledge of the jungle is unreal, and you can really feel his passion for what he does. From catching caimans by hand, to spearfishing, hiking through the rainforest, and finding your own food, every moment was pure adventure.
You really depend on good equipment out there, especially the boat engines for those long rides deep into the wild, and these guys have everything perfectly in order. 100% recommend Joshua and his team if you want a true Amazon experience you’ll never forget.

My adult son and myself spent 3 nights, 4 days at Peacock Paradise Lodge and loved every minute. We had agreed in advance that we would have our own guide who would take us to look for wildlife for photography both during the day and at night, rather than following the standard programme. We had contacted a number of lodges to ask for this but Joshua’s was the only one who immediately said it was no problem accommodating our wishes and it worked out very well.

The lodge itself is lovely, with big individual wooden cabins overlooking the river. The food is excellent and abundant and the chef took our requests fully into account (I’m vegan). All the staff were helpful and friendly, in particular our guide, Helder, who is not only an excellent and kind guide but also a very impressive helmsman. The best we’ve ever had on these kinds of trips! Although most of the staff speak English they were very happy to put up with my rather limited Portuguese which I insisted on practising ☺️.

The area itself is beautiful, I loved the boat rides, at all times of the day and night (the starry sky was amazing!) and we did some pretty good photography. There was also enough downtime for us to enjoy relaxing in the hammocks and spending time together. We were there at a time of high water, which meant there were fewer walks on dry land, but the boat rides more than made up for that.

All in all a marvellous experience that I can highly recommend!

It was amazing. Perfectly planned, well informed guides and very flexible to adjust to my wishes (for example looking for snakes all night long)

We chose to do our Amazonian expedition tour with the company of Mr. Joshua and that was really a great choice. We spent 3 days at the Amazonian rainforest that made our hearts and minds full of new experiences, new images! It was an experience of a lifetime just you, the awesomeness of the nature and the simplicity of the life when you stay at a floating family guest house.
The company of Mr Joshua is really professional and the highlight of our adventure was Raquel who speaks 5 languages included our meaning Greek. She was so professional, serious, kind, friendly and smart that she really transformed our expedition to a lifetime experience! Thank you guys for all, we will always remember you and the experience that you offered us. 🙏🏻

I recently did the 3 day 2 night tour and I absolutely loved it. Our guide Ken was so sweet and knowledgeable. I felt really cared for by the entire staff and they even celebrated my birthday with me and baked me a cake. It was truly so kind and thoughtful of them. We saw incredible wildlife, plants and birds. Our guides made sure we were safe and having fun every step of the way. I loved this experience and I highly recommend

Just got home from our Amazon Adventure with Joshua’s Amazon Expedition. We booked the 5 days/4 nights at the floating lodge/one night camping. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time with so many wonderful memories.

What made our adventure so great was having Yamal as our tour guide. From the moment we met him, we knew that we were in very good hands. He was very personable and so great to chat with. He had so many wonderful things to share with us while we were out in the boat as well as on our nature walks.

It was a pleasure having Yamal as our guide and I feel very blessed as this was our first time in the Amazon. He is such an amazing guide and made everything so great that we didn’t want our tour to end and we were very sad to leave.

I do know that we would love to come back when the water levels are higher as it would be so much fun to take the boats into the forest for a different perspective. Hopefully we will be lucky and get Yamal as our guide again as I know that we will have a fabulous time. I’ve already been sharing details of our adventure with some friends and have been telling them to book with Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions. Maybe they will be just as lucky as we were to get Yamal as their guide 😁
