Avoid this scam company. I purchased a chess board 4th July with a 5 day delivery time for my boyfriends birthday. His birthday came and went, by mid July I was ringing multiple times after no communication, no one answers the phone or it disconnects you. So I emailed them end of July, the finally responsded mid August to say that the item was out of stock and offered a refund. Given the birthday has passed I accepted. It’s now early October and I still don’t have a refund. I am having to go to through a court claim process because I have no hope they will provide the refund.
The delivery time was falsely advertised on their website. The communication is impossible and tedious. And they withhold your money with no good reason. Terrible company.

Unfortunately it's fraud, I've placed a couple of orders, none of them have arrived, for some I didn't even get a confirmation for the order. I've tried to contact them but only received an email weeks later without any helpful information. I will have to take the case to the court.

Arrived in time and happy with the quality. A lovely set!

Le numéro h24/7 est un répondeur avec le même message en boucle, il est impossible de contacter quelqu'un. Action en cours auprès de la banque pour être remboursé. Je déconseille fortement, c'est de l'arnaque complète. Fuyez ce revendeur.

Ordered on July 2nd, no news since despite numerous email reminders. The 24/7 number is an answering machine with the same message in a loop. Action in progress with the bank to be refunded. I strongly advise against it, it's a complete scam. Run away from this retailer.

I bought a chess set with pieces, money was immediately taken, but after a month and a half, still nothing.
I contacted them through their chat, no response. Their "contact" page doesn't work.
Through mail they say "We will look into it" and... That's it.
Absolute scam for sure, I'm really disappointed.

I paid £330 for a DGT E-Board from this website. I have not heard from them since, except this request for a review. I did not get my Chess Board, they have stolen £330 from me and they want a review ? The website is a scammers template. Please do not be a fool like me, STAY WELL CLLEAR of KAOORI !!!! if they get in touch with me about my board I will let you know.
The only update so far is Kaoori Still have my money and Still have my DGT-E Board. I am now trying to involve my Bank, because I paid with my Debit Card. To Be Continued lol

The website is a scam. ordered 100£ chess pieces, never shipped and when I asked for a refund they ignored me. scummy website

Do not buy from this company.

I bought a chess set at the beginning of June, which the website said would be delivered in 3 to 5 working days. The money went out of my bank but I didn’t receive anything, so a week later I contacted their customer services by email. I was told the item was delayed and would be sent within a week, and they’d send it by express delivery at their cost.

A week later there was still no sign of the chess board so I contacted them again, and was told this time that the board I ordered was out of stock. They offered me alternatives, none of which I was interested in, so I requested a refund which they agreed to. But unfortunately I have not yet received the refund.

I have tried to contact them by email numerous times with no reply, and have spoken to customer services over the phone twice where I have been told that the “relevant department hasn’t issued the refund”, but no reason given why, or any idea of a time frame. I have now resorted to trying to reclaim this money through my bank.

UPDATE Oct 22 - still no sign of a refund from Kaoori, but I have successfully claimed the money back though my bank. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I bought the chess board. Only received email confirming my order with promise to be shipped in 3-5 working days. That was two weeks ago. I sent them email but they didn`t respond. I also tryed to contact them few times via contac form on their website but with no luck as is not working. So I had to open dispute on paypal to solve it.

Very pleased with product. Ordering was very easy and the item came safely and promtly. Great service.

Kaoori ist nicht zu empfehlen, falls die Sendung nicht zugestellt wird oder andere Probleme auftun. In meinem Fall wurde die Sendung nicht zugestellt. Seit nun fast 4 Monaten versuche ich die Zahlungsaufforderung über den Kundenservice zurückzuweisen. Kaoori ist nicht greifbar oder hält Dich mit freundlichen Antworten ohne Lösungsvorschläge hin. Für den deutschen Markt definitiv nicht zu empfehlen oder zu unterstützen. Nutzt lieber regionale Anbieter in der Umgebung, die Dich unkompliziert unterstützen können.

I ordered a chess set in early may and site said it was 3-5 day dispatch. Prompt acknowledgment of purchase. After one week I hadn’t received anything so contacted them. Again, quick response but appears the company have a ‘process’ time which can be long. They hand make the chess sets so expect a lot longer than 5 days as advertised, for carving and varnishing. Once the sets made then they’ll dispatch within 5 days.

order placed on April 24, 2022 and still in processing stage it says 3 to 5 working days delivery with no updates since order date it would be hard for me to recommend at this time

8 hours after wring first part of the review rang them to find nice lady on phone looking into it and is meant to be sending me tacking number soon will keep updating my review with my overall experience.

been speaking to someone at kaoori for a few days every thing seemed to be moving along and was told on the 04/05/22 my order had been processed and would be shipped next day and tracking number would follow after that, I sent them an email asking on order status on the 06/05/22 with no response, and today 10/05/22 on website it still says it processing and no tracking number so I don't believe it been shipped at all.

Finally got a response to my email today stating In fact there was a problem with the product you have ordered(problem of production). I was given 2 options:

1. we cancel your order and issue full refund today
2. you agree to product change(we ship the new product in 2-3 days max)

I opted for the refund so I will keep you updated with how my experience goes with this process and see if in fact I do get refunded today as stated.
Just wanted to updated you that the refund has already been issued.

received the email regarding my refund You will see the amount back in your account within 3-5 business days. Do you want me to send the proof too this was sent at 10:06am, which I replied yes I would like proof of refund please at 10:13am, it is now 14:58pm with still no proof been sent to me will keep you all up to date on any further developments

I ordered chess pieces with a box and board.
The quality is high and I really like the materials.
The support agent was very nice.
But...
Delivery was supposed to be within 5 day. It took two months to deliver...
The order was out of stock. But I didn't know that until I called them a week later. Then 3 weeks later I received the order but the board was missing. 3 or 4 weeks later after many calls I received the board.

This store is awesome! Shipped so fast, and free! Must be a fellow chess player like me! Thank you!

Received quickly. There is a small scratch, I contacted the shop and received 2 options: replacement or partial refund, decided to choose partial refund. Good quality.

Good! I wish there was a little more info when the package is delivered, but the set itself is amazing. Nice finish, only problem is how the felt bottoms are applied. Easily fixed with a gentle tug and some wood glue though.

Habe das Paris 36cm Schachbrett dort letztes Jahr bestellt. Es erweist mir schon viele Tage seinen guten Dienst, die Figuren sind gut verarbeitet und fühlen sich gut an. Man hat wirklich viel Spaß mit diesem Brett. Kann es nur empfehlen.
