They are shocking. Authoritarian. Incompetent and untrustworthy in my 2 years as a 100% leasehold owner. My experience so far. I will upgrade my opinion if circumstances change.

This is an organisation that does not care about its tenants. It has a Basil Fawlty attitude to most of its tenants in that people keeping get in the way of running things. Or not running things. How Karbon can be so unaccountable defies belief. It is difficult to tell whether all its faults are due to incompetence or indifference

My experience is the polar opposite of most of the others here. Always been good to me, always generous when I moved In, paid rent late. Repairs maybe a little late but not 1* late.
Compared to last landlord, Karbon is wonderful really.
I cannot understand all the others TBH.

this company is an absolute shambles.
repair waiting times are a disgrace.
complaints are brushed under the carpet.
they send out there little magazines telling tenants of all the great things they are achieving.
they would be better off running a joke shop, infact i think they are.

What a dreadful company, rang 4 different people and was promised a ring back or some sort of action but nothing, perfect example of the tail wagging the dog. Didn’t realise how bad the company was until had to deal with them. I’m trying to save Durham cc money and Karbon are not interested.

I’m a resident and suffering terrible anti social behaviour from a neighbour. They are refusing to help rehouse us, have hung the phone up on me today and offered to ‘send a letter’ to the neighbour. I’ve had this for 8 years now. I’m currently looking at seeking legal action. They are an absolute joke. If you get offered a karbon homes property, run for the hills. All they want is money, the neighbour bangs constantly day and night and we get no sleep. We’ve tried noise equipment and noise apps but apparently they can’t hear them. There’s a surprise. All we get is fobbed off. I’ve tried everything and they don’t listen. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
They don’t do nothing!! All they want is a load of dole wallers in. I was told zero tolerance on antisocial behaviour. It’s the other way round!! Everyone you talk too just fobs you off. I would give 0 stars if I could 😡

If I could give them a -10 I would. Been in this bungalow 18mouths and spent 16mouths on phone to them . I have a wet room and the floor floods everytime I have a shower I spend the day moping it up there for bungalow so damp , i have snails in my kitchen every morning when I get up and only way I can stop tham it putting bleech on floor round cupboard at night , than get up out comes mop again 12 mops later . I got all new wood furniture in my front room and now I have woodworm in it and all you see is tiny holes and dust , got this woodwork paint, but there back after 4wks. My toilet blocks had tham.out 4time , but am the 1 ends up putting my hands down the loo fixing it and only last a wk , cause it's the man holes outside block thay no that, but no 1 comes and pull man hole up so many time all filling a part outside front door . Last year has been hell on earth and it's not virus wish I get that so want have to.put up anymore . Am not type to complain but another is another

Pity you can't give a zero star. We live on a private estate next to buildings run by Karbon and the antisocial behaviour we are having to face everyday is unbelievable. We did not pay a mortgage for you to put trash in next to us. Sort it out Karbon. Karbon need to have the balls to evict!

Dogs barking and howelling at Neighbors and defecating in there gardens and they don't clean up.

Having ongoing problems with next-door neighbors, for the last 4 year's, they are still I the property, and all I get is fill out Antisocial Behavior reports! Done this on several occasions it stops for a while then just starts again once a case is closed!! They get Rent Paid so not really Bothered, both my self and other residents have felt like moving but why should We! Totally Fed up!!

Absolutely terrible!!! Trying to get a repair done for my mother who is 86,has a serious heart condition and also has dementia. She has a downstairs bedroom with a toilet next door and a sink that is in her bedroom,this sink has started leaking,we don't know where the leak is coming from but her carpet is saturated and the best Karbon Homes can do is send someone out in THREE WEEKS!!!! My mother has lived at this house for over 30 years,is classed as being vulnerable and this is the best they can do??? Her carpet is destroyed and will need replacing,which my mother can't afford,are they going to replace her carpet???? They have said after I hassled them that they would put her on the cancellation list,but the last time she was on the cancellation list,they came just the day before they were supposed to,so I'm not holding my breath!!!! What a way to treat a loyal tenant who is now struggling in her later years!!!

Always been fine with me - people moan but no one rarely gives praise days. These websites are all the same. Everyone has a job to do, people are never going to always be happy. I pay my rent, I get my repairs fixed when I report them - yes sometimes they take a little longer than it would if I got them done myself but what do you expect? If you're so bothered - own your own house and do it all yourself. Every HA is the same, it's not a new thing.

Absolutely blooming disgusting company. Just do not listen or understand customers or customers needs. I have a disabled wife due to 2 strokes as well as Tyas. Have asked to have a wheelchair access ramps put in from garden path and been refused due to Karbon saying they have limited funds. In a recent letter they stated about improving older properties whilst building new ones. If they have the money to build new homes why can they not upgrade and update old ones, ours is over 100 years old. Talk through their backsides. Disgusting service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. My advice KEEP AWAY FROM KARBON HOMES.

Bunch of cowboys. They refuse to do any repairs on our home, just patch it up until something goes wrong again. We're constantly told we have to wait for maintenance, but as we aren't in an estate, we always get forgotten about. They've been saying this for years.

No replies when asking permissions to erect a home security camera. Several letters written over the past 12 months. No acknowledgement from Karbon Homes.

I called today regarding an issue with the toilet in the bathroom cisterne constantly running this started 21/08/2019 really annoying as it can be heard downstairs too as the pipes run through the kitchen. And also upstairs in the bedrooms Next available appointment from karbon to get this just checked not repaired is wednesday 28/082019 time 12 until 4 pm (as it is not classed as an emergency if id lied and said it was overflowing it would of been tonite ,,,,,,,,, i asked if this was the earliest appointment and was told yes asked for any suggestions apart from paying someone to do it myself and got should i cancel the appointment i said no she then said WELL JUST TURN THE WATER OFF if its annoying you ,,,,,,, then turn it back on when you need ti use it Abosulely the worst customer service ever, so for 8 days they expect me to keep turning the water on and off !!!!!
Bearing in mind that i am still waiting for repairs to finished from 2014 when they replced the roofs and facia on the property i dont hold out much hope good job i dont have a water meter !!!!! Bring back Cestria

Karbon homes are an absolute joke.We have had nothing but grief distress loud music anti social behaviour going on now for 6 years.Police are a regular occurrence in a once peaceful respectable area all down to one person. Unfortunately
it has been placed next door to us.Drinking all day and night music blasting dogs barking people coming and going arguments threats to us personally (We have children and happens often)etc etc Asked to provide evidence (Used The Noiseapp as they recommended.Yet after doing so nothing is done because “Thats other peoplesdogs at 3am “The app uses gprs and says otherwise where else am i going to be with a 6 month old at that time? but not good enough for Karbonhomes Annfield plain.Provide evidence but we’re the lairs.For some reason Karbonhomes are happy to protect scum.Threats to people with children that work long days and nights are not listened to as well as if you pay rent and ask nothing from them until something happens.They don’t want to know.
Would rather protect and serve the scum of the earth than the decent hard working families.
As for there safer housing bull etc doesn’t care only makes things worse.A brick wall has more sense than half of the so called housing officers/safer housing officers working for them
They don’t care be an a*** hole, use every emergency service possible
,ask for everything imaginable in the “S**t hole” to be done,house convicts on the run, ✅✅✅✅ Karbonhomes will house you!
We are looking to move after living where we have done for the past 10 years, because of the lack of care, respect for decent people.

Speaking to Jill today at Handley Way open night and got a lot of information from her along with a very professional manner. Any questions I asked she had an answer for and if she didn’t she soon found it out for me. Great people and service

Had a gas leak in kitchen, rang Karbon who then rang "TransCo" (hasn't been called that in years), if we are still using old names I'll carry on calling Karbon "Isos" The gas employee found a leak and made safe my home telling me to contact landlord to repair boiler. Karbon sent someone out who complained to me that he had other jobs to do and that my job would take a while. He rang the "office" and explained to someone and also moaned at them about the jobs he had to do. He then said he would email the "office" to get them to sort it out. So that will now be two days wasted in waiting and waiting. Shocking. Engineer should have just started the repair instead of moaning to me! Seriously unimpressed that i now have no heating and hot water.
