The Yuki Katana

I ordered the Yuki Katana a while back and was anxious the entire time due to reading some unsatisfactory reviews. I was very wrong, I genuinely was not expecting the quality to be that good.

• The tsubasa (guard rail) is made of proper metal and is fitted into the blade so tightly (other katanas I own had a wonky tsubasa ON arrival)
• The Tsuka-Ito ( the wrap on handle) feels expertly braided on with a satisfying lightweight handle.
• The blade is sharp (though practically irrelevant due to display usage)

Barring in mind that this is all just the entry level katana I bought from them, I’m excited to buy more. Especially the Nodachi katana which has the same total height as the average grown man.

While everything can’t be all sunshine and rainbows, I do have one “however” . The shipping time can feel pretty jarring, but you could probably argue that it’s a self projection of excitement. From what I remember, I ordered it on the 19th Dec 25’ and it came somewhere around February? I was slightly disappointed but not enough to deviate points from the overall review. Still 5 stars and strong.

I hope this information helps other's.
Long delays for delivery.
Delays on email or no reply at all.
Not handling thier errors professionally or correcting it.
Overall poor service & communication.

I didn't get my order delivered & didn't get an tracking num when asked. However I just keep getting responses with excuses & no correction but with an response for an payment for redelivery when the error was on thier part.

Also ignoring the part for refund after month's of delay & no apology for Delays & not sending tracking details.

Reply to thier comments-
Excuses & false info, the main part they couldn't even do after delays of the item, is to send an tracking even after week's they still didn't send or reply to my two emails asking for it.

It's very simple & basic & most important part of the business to send an tracking so we can be ready to take pakage or even collect.

I hope this info helps other's & please read other low rating reviews...

We strongly reject your version of events, as it is factually incorrect and misleading.

Your order was shipped correctly, and as confirmed by UPS tracking:

The parcel was out for delivery
Delivery was attempted
It was then placed at a UPS Access Point for collection
You were notified multiple times by UPS
The parcel remained available for pickup for several days
You failed to collect it
As a result, the parcel was returned to sender due to your inaction

This is not a delay, nor a service failure — this is a missed collection by the customer.

Regarding your claims:

“No tracking provided” → Incorrect. Tracking was generated and UPS handled notifications directly.
“Order not delivered” → Incorrect. Delivery was attempted and made available for collection.
“No response” → Incorrect. You received replies and explanations.
“Our error” → Completely false. The failure occurred after UPS made the parcel available to you.

Now, despite this, you are refusing to pay the reshipping cost, which is standard procedure when a parcel is returned due to non-collection.

We also find it inappropriate that:

You are requesting a refund without returning the product properly
You are attempting to shift responsibility for a situation clearly caused by your own actions

We have acted correctly at every stage:
✔ Order shipped
✔ Delivery attempted
✔ Customer notified
✔ Support provided

At this point, your review represents only a partial and distorted version of the facts, which we cannot accept.

We remain available to resolve the situation correctly and professionally, but only under fair conditions.

Ronin katana

Ordered the ronin katana for my first katana and I’ve got to admit I’m very impressed with the quality of the product , piece of art at a decent price it came sharp out of the box but I would of liked it a bit sharper than what it is and will get it wet stoned and honed that’s not a big issue for me , there was quite a wait to receive my katana though due to border control and customs the tape they use to re seal after inspection was on the box and the seller said there was a hold up but to be patient , when ordering please remember patience is a virtue and there can be delays when importing anything as I’ve found out , this is not a scam site as others whom were impatient have said , the swords are imported in and they sometimes take time to get here from my experience I’ve had , this is my first time using the company and can honestly say it was well worth the wait. Alex provided tracking info once he had it and I’m now happy , thanks katana mart for my first katana and ile be ordering again for my son who was impressed also

I originally had a problem because of…

I originally had a problem because of we're i live but alax(not real name)went above and beyond to sort out the shipping issue and was extremely helpful keeping me updated along the way. I ordered a Wakizasi and a katana at the cheaper end but they are beautiful and look stunning together and i will definitely be a repeat customer considering the professional with personal touch i received from katanamartuk(alax).
I really could not be happier.

I placed an order using a discount code…

I placed an order using a discount code that was publicly available and fully functional on the website at the time of purchase. The order was successfully processed, payment was accepted via PayPal, and I received an order confirmation.
After the order was confirmed and paid for, the seller contacted me stating that they would not ship the goods unless I made an additional payment, claiming the discount was applied incorrectly. They offered an alternative discount instead, but still refused to honour the original confirmed price.
The order has not been shipped, despite payment being accepted and a contract clearly formed at checkout. I am still requesting fulfilment of the confirmed order, not a refund.
This experience shows poor business practice and a failure to honour confirmed orders. I would advise caution before purchasing.
P.S. The order was placed Jan 13th. but they sent me an email after 7 days and asked me to pay more. 🤷‍♂️

The discount code you used was clearly intended for a specific category of products. However, due to an unforeseen technical interaction, it was momentarily applied to items already on promotion. As you can imagine, we are a commercial business—not a charitable organization—so giving products away below cost is not exactly a sustainable practice.

That said, we promptly offered you an alternative solution: a revised discount along with a free gift, even after receiving threats and references to nonexistent regulations. It’s worth noting that our Terms & Conditions, publicly available on our website, clearly explain how such issues are handled—be they technical glitches or other unexpected events.

In any case, we are not easily intimidated by keyboard warriors, and when our transparent explanation is met with hostility or insults, we feel entirely within our rights to refund the order and wish you well with your shopping elsewhere—perhaps somewhere that gives away katana for free.

I ordered a size 26 Hakama. First of all they said it would take 2 months to receive. When i asked to cancel my order they advised they have one in stock and will be sent that day. They sent a size 26.5 so it was to long. I akseked to return it and they advised they would issue credit for their site. I told them i wanted a refund so they asked for a picture. Part of the transit sticking that holds the pleats together had come loose so they said they wouldn't take it back at all. Fortunately i paid by Paypal who reviewed the dispute and issued a refund. I will never use this site again. EVEN AFTER SENDING THE WRONG SIZE AND A SMALL AMOUNT OF THE TRANSIT STITCHING COMING LOOSE AS ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO TRY THEM ON WITHOUT IT COMING LOOSE DUE THE LEGS STITCHED TOGETHER, THE REFUSE TO SEE THIS WAS THEIR FAULT. IF YOU HAD SENT THE CORRECT SIZE, I WOULDN'T HAVE TO RETURN THEM. IM NOT EVEN SURE ALL THE STITCHING WAS IN WHEN YOU SENT THEM. I WOULD LOVE TO UPLOAD A PHOTO SO PEOPLE COULD SEE. YOU WERE IN THE WRONG AND CANT ADMIT IT! THANK GOD I PAID BY PAYPAL OR I WOULD BE LEFT WITH HAKAMA THAT ARE THE WRONG SIZE... GOES TO SHOW HOW BAD YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!

We are truly surprised and disappointed by the review you posted, as it omits key facts and misrepresents the situation.

As a reminder, we clearly explained the return policy in our email to you, which stated:

“If you want to return the Hakama, you MUST NOT REMOVE the white stitching that holds down the folds, otherwise we won’t be able to refund you.”
This instruction is also clearly written on the product page:

You chose to remove the stitching, which constitutes use and manipulation of the item, making it non-returnable by policy — a policy you agreed to when ordering from our site. Despite this, we were still available for further support, and we responded to your emails promptly and respectfully.

It’s regrettable that instead of acknowledging this, you’ve chosen to publicly defame our business, despite having been refunded by PayPal based purely on their system, not on a breach of our terms. You were never mistreated; you simply violated the return instructions and now blame us for enforcing the rules.

We welcome constructive feedback, but reviews based on a distorted version of events are unfair and misleading to other customers.
A bit more transparency and fairness would have been appreciated.

Excellent

Quality product. Updates with progress. Swift delivery upon completion of order. Great communication from customer service.

From what I can tel, all of the negative reviews are from people who demand their order with in one week, and can't wait more than one day for a response. Patience is a virtue.

I am very happy with the product and service provided, and will be placing more orders now that I've had the opportunity to see for myself.

Genuine review

Genuine review : I am very happy with my order , I did order something that was a pre order so it did take 4 months before I got my items , but to be fair to katanamart and especially Alex , they were for the most part very quick to answer any queries , questions or concerns I had or was having , the parcel I received was very well packaged and my items arrived in perfect conditions , the tracking info was a little sporadic but that certainly wasn't anyone at katanamarts fault that was just ups being ups.
I would and will place more orders in the future.

Seller completely ignores you

Seller completely ignores you, had to email twice, WhatsApp and complete online contact form on website just to get tracking number after the items were shipped. Never replied. After repeated attempts and over a week later after I threatened to reverse the credit card charge, finally got some tracking information.
Then starts around 5 weeks of stress after their courier of choice (UPS) kept losing my order, and then lying saying they attempted delivery when they hadn’t. Wasted days of my life waiting in for a parcel that never came, hours on the phone in total to UPS and trying to get help from the seller throughout the whole process, who was no help at all, and only ever responded if threatened with reversing credit card charges. Eventually had to drive over an hour to track down my parcel and get it from UPS. Seller never followed up, and ignored all forms of communication (more than 20 emails sent to them and several WhatsApp messages). Would not recommend this seller, god help you if you have any issues with your order because the seller disappears. The stress this order caused me was not worth the goods or the money I spent. Disgusting attitude by the seller.

Kamakiri Katana - Beautiful and Functional

Very satisfied with Katanamart UK. I wanted a little bespoking to my Katana which Alex help with. The lead time was reasonable considering the bespoking. The Katana arrived extremely well packaged. It's a beautiful Katana, super sharp, very well balanced and looks stunning. The cotton bag is also really nice as is the free gift. It's the first time I've used Katanamart and I will be using them again.

Positive rewiew

The sword ive ordered came in about 2 months and im very pleased with a quality of teh sword. Had a little issue with delivery becaouse of my working hours and customer support did a great job in rearanging delivery for me. From my experience its high quality service.

Great purchase

I recently purchased this katana, and I’m extremely impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. The blade is well made, with a sharp edge and a solid feel that shows real attention to detail. The balance is excellent, making it both practical to handle and a stunning piece to display.

Delivery was good and communication from Katamart was excellant, and the sword arrived very well packaged and protected. For the price,it is a great purchase.
